I waited an hour to speak to someone over the phone, and a Vietnamese man with a very heavy accent answer and literally hung up in my face after I gave him all of my personal information except for the exact numbers of a tax return I filed two years ago that I don't remember. Extremely rude and wasted an hour of my day. I'm taking care of my newborn baby and trying to be a great citizen. I did not have an hour if my day to waste. I intend to file a formal complaint. I HAVE NEVER!!!!!
I am a United States Marine and I will do EVERYTHING in my power to see that no one else has to deal with this, even if the operator is let go. This is likely not his first offense. Government jobs especially, are a privilege, not a right. Only people who want to help others and people who will do their jobs should be retained.

The staff is very slow and engages in long personal conversations making the flow of traffic very slow. Appointment time 1000. No one checked me in until 1115. The gentlemen who was taking my information made every excuse not to help me but reluctantly gave me a number so I could talk to someone. The excuse given is there are 2 people working in the office today. I have had this appointment for 6 weeks and had to take off a day to be here. Very disappointed and dissatisfied.

The service was extremely slow. I had an appointment at 9:00, but we weren’t seen until almost 10:00.
There were only about three people ahead of us, and all the stations were empty. People were being called in with long gaps in between—it felt very disorganized.
The only good part was the security guard—very kind and professional.

If I could give this office more than five stars, I absolutely would. I was completely blown away by the professionalism, empathy, and efficiency of the staff here. After getting the absolute runaround at several other locations—where I encountered everything from dismissive attitudes, lack of urgency, confusing explanations, and in one case, being flat-out ignored—I was genuinely at my wit’s end. I walked into this office completely frustrated, emotionally drained, and just hoping for a little help.
From the moment I walked through the door, I felt the energy shift. The officer at the entrance greeted me kindly, with a level of respect and calm that immediately made me feel like I was in the right place. That first moment of being treated like a person—not just a number—already set this office apart from the others.
Then I had the pleasure of working with Ms. Richardson, and let me tell you: she is an absolute gem. Her knowledge, patience, and professionalism were unmatched. She didn’t just answer my questions—she made sure I fully understood every step and what I needed to move forward. It didn’t matter how small or simple the issue seemed, she treated it with care. And not just for me—she was consistently warm and helpful to every single person in the lobby. Watching her balance the needs of the room while still giving each person individual attention was beyond impressive.
She turned what was an incredibly stressful situation into one that left me feeling heard, supported, and even hopeful. That’s not something I say lightly.
You will not leave this office without clarity. Whether your issue gets resolved that day or you need to come back with something else, you will walk out knowing exactly what’s next. That kind of service is rare these days.
I will gladly commute to this office in the future, no matter the inconvenience. Out of all the locations I’ve dealt with in the Houston area, this one stands head and shoulders above the rest.
Ms. Richardson, thank you again—not just for the help, but for your kindness, grace, and the human touch you bring to your work. This team is doing amazing things, and I truly hope they’re recognized for it.
Keep up the excellent work. The city needs more people like you.

My tax return yet to receive for 2022 now have taken 2 years and 4 months. When ever I call, use excuses to delay further. Very unprofessional and I do agree what people have commented they act like they own money. Very bad service. Now I'm holding for more than one hour after transferring to another department. What is happening to USA standards. Terrible Service. I don't agree them saying back logged, because of covid, this is the excuse they give. That means, USA is behind the entire world. What a shame.
