John D Moving broke my 55” TV and offered to pay me .68 cents per lb of its weight to replace it. The movers asked me to turn on the TV before they moved it (to be sure it worked), and once moved it and left for the day - I plugged in my TV and noticed this cracked & distorted image on the screen. I was not anticipating having to buy a new TV after move. They also lost the majority of the screws to my new bed, so the headboard is no longer attached to the bed frame, and the bed frame is also no longer intact. Lastly, I was quoted $100/hour (charged in 15 minute increments) for the two movers to pack and unpack my one bedroom apartment (which took 6 hours between the two of them) and they tried to charge me double ($200 per hour) to pack and unpack. This we were able to settle with some time on the phone with they’re dispatch lady - and they honored their original quote of $100/hour.

I have used JD movers for home and business for decades, so has my family… and I refer my friends and clients. Every time I’ve used them over the years, I am impressed with their efficiency and care they always take with my things.

This company was hired to move me just 25minutes up the road. However, it took them nearly an hour to drive to the new place. Upon arrival to move my items, they informed me they could not move my things inside because I had 15 minutes before I would be charged more money. This selective refusal to move certain items, including boxes , beds, dressers and etc left me feeling wary and questioning their service. When I questioned the logic behind being able to move the table and other items, they said they didn’t want to figure out how to get it out the door. They left it at the door laying down in ants. Despite my explanation of how the table was brought in, they still refused to move it.
Additionally, they did not wrap my furniture correctly, damaging both my daughter's dresser and mine. When it came time to unload, they refused to place my dresser in my room and left it in the garage, expecting me to move it later. I am missing so many items.

This company was hired to move me just 20 minutes up the road. However, it took them nearly an hour to drive to the new place. This selective refusal to move certain items, including three boxes of shoes, left me feeling wary and questioning their service. When I questioned the logic behind being able to move the washer and dryer but not the refrigerator and other items, they said they didn’t want to figure out how to get it out the door. Despite my explanation of how the refrigerator was brought in, they still refused to move it.
Additionally, they did not wrap my furniture correctly, damaging both my daughter's dresser and mine. When it came time to unload, they refused to place my dresser in my room and left it in the garage, expecting me to move it later.
I notified my agent immediately after the incident, who contacted the company owner. The owner ignored emails for weeks. When they finally responded via phone, they assured my agent they would make things right and file a claim against their bond, which never happened. They soon stopped responding altogether.
I have made multiple attempts to contact them through emails, online inquiries, and phone calls, all of which have been ignored. This blatant disregard for customer communication and the refusal to take accountability for their actions has left me deeply dissatisfied. I strongly advise against using this company.

I was set up properly and had a wonderful customer service. Then I sent out this old guy with no professional mannerism. I hate when you have to sit and babysit your movers I'm just so used to a professional coming in and getting the job done. I don't want to go in to detail as it's too much. But yes I wish they would have sent someone else out for my move I gave it 3 stats because after I started babysitting them the job got done in a timely and more work less talk manner. But the customer service lady was very nice.

Did my move today with John D Moving, was very happy and glad I went with this company! Amazing job and fast! Osvaldo & Rudy are VERY kind and polite, also VERY hardworkers! They listened to me and were so respectful. I hope to see them again and will continue to use this company in the future. Also Mrs. Olga was very nice and kept in touch with me, very friendly. Thank you so much!!! ???

John D moving damaged my expensive mattress while moving my items and failed to resolve the issue. I paid for a service and it was done poorly. I would not recommend using this company. They are careless with your items.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY.
They broke my tv and will not accept responsibility for the damage. Called and spoke to the supervisor and was told that once the movers leave the property, they are not responsible for any damage. If you value your items, do not hire this company.

Broke one of our tv’s during our move and they are taking zero responsibility for it. Also, lost two of our shelves to our dresser and tv cabinet.

Hector and Alex were very professional, thorough, extremely careful and yet efficient in getting the job done very quickly. Obviously, they are very skilled in their craft and informed me of any chips or defects to the furniture prior to wrapping and moving it. I was initially concerned about movers taking apart a china cabinet and removing it from the hutch, the base. This was obviously not their first time doing this as it went off without a hitch. The wrapped the dining room table, hutch and interior glass in blankets and plastic wrap. I will definitely use their services and recommend them in the future.

Unfortunately had to update my review. After multiple back and forth calls, I was told movers would not be able to make an appointment they were already 2 hours late for. This was an EXTREME inconvenience, but was told I would be given a discount. They arrived the next morning, and I was told I would no longer be given an hourly rate, but a flat rate! I was initially quoted $120/hr for 3 men, however 5 men showed up. The move took only 3 hours, so the flat rate I was given ended up being closer to $250/hr. I didn’t ask for 5 men, but I had to be out of my rental that day so my back was against the wall. Then, I was told they couldn’t move my elliptical when I have used them last 2x I moved, and they moved the elliptical with no problems. Not sure where the disconnect was this time around, but I was disappointed with my service. I’ve even recommended this moving company to friends and family but will no longer be doing so.
