Johnson Funeral Home was established by Fred C. Johnson in Houston, Texas in 1934. It has continued in operation and family ownership to the present day. From the beginnings, during the later stages of the Great Depression, our company has striven to serve the Houston community in accordance with our motto "We Will go to Extra Lengths to Serve You". The company continued under Fred Johnson's stewardship until the early 1950's when Charles Johnson took over the reins and built upon the foundation established by the previous generation. Charles was a graduate of Jack Yates High School and Hampton Institute. He brought to the company a sense of commitment to the community that we served.
