7/16/2022 I visited this store and almost spent my mortgage payment. I'm a teacher and major crafter and this store had everything I WANTED. I visited GIANT $ #1 on SW Freeway in H-Town. Aziz, Adrianna and Rosa were very helpful. I recommend that you check it out. As A Notice!!!! Everything is not 1:39. The sign clearly states "Unless otherwise specified" Happy Shopping

This store is always busy and the lines are longggg. I went this Sunday and it was only one cashier by himself. They lost a lot of customers. They need help real bad.

at Giant dollar store number 8 on Little York Road in Houston Texas on point oh my goodness this is the most amazing store! I have never been to a dollar store that was piss clean and this friendly and had so much. Nothing is out of stock your everything is fully stocked the shelves are full come on over here and get your stuff

Owner at the 59 and Bissonnet location was so courteous and helpful! Had all The essentials we need and packs of 25 masks on sale !! Definitely will visit again

SAVIORS OF TOILET PAPER! When all the stores in Houston were out of toilet paper last week because of ongoing coronavirus scare .. this store has been stocking them.. no limit on purchase, I saw the post on their facebook page and stopped by, they had face masks, rubbing alcohol and small sanitizer bottles.. I was very surprised as the stuff was cheaper than walmart! Thank You Giant Dollar for saving the day with the Covid 19 scare.. bless you and all the hard working employees you have!

Employee by the name of Daniella disrespected my son as he was in the store shopping with family and went to pick up head phones. After picking them up, she immediately walked towards him and snatched the head phones out of his hand. When purchasing other items and asked for my sons head phones she immediately responded when HE gets in line to purchase them. They were going to be purchased with the rest of the items and she yelled again at my son you come in my line to purchase! items were swiped already and waiting on the headphones Danielle the disrespectful cashier threw them on the next cashiers register. The cashier ringing up apologized for her actions. This will be reported to the Store Manager. She stereo typed my son and brought a negative review on this store!!!

I’m sorry to say but the staff at this store are very disrespectful. The website, as well as, their Facebook page claim that they close at 9pm, however, their staff set their own time of closing regardless of how far you’ve driven to meet them open. I got their 8:30p and one of their cashiers said she has to go home at 9pm so she closed the door to the store at 8:35pm. Isn’t their some rule that a business must abide by their posted store hours? Or at least post the correct hours?

I LOVE THIS STORE! It's not like every other dollar store; same stuff in all of them. Jumbo Dollar gets in cool and unusual items and believe it or not, useful items! I've been shopping there for years and always get nice greetings from the staff and the owners. Because the store is huge; take your time looking - you might find great gift ideas; they had beautiful glass decanters with stoppers, which I filled with ordinary vegetable oil, added dried oriental spices in each bottle, wrapped pretty ribbons around the neck and VOILA: great Christmas presents for under $2.00 each. I've found nice T-shirts and embellished them with rhinestones and flowers! I buy remnant rug pieces for the car, door mats and for outdoor furniture. The only things I do not buy are the beauty products; I had a bad allergic reaction to eye makeup! Check out the school/office supplies; great binders and organizers - and oh yeah, don't forget to check the largest selection of picture/photo frames in Houston. One more idea; get a pack of Bamboo skewers, both short and long. Use them in cleaning small cracks, in your car, garage, crafts and you'll see...hundred other uses! And if you need spare reading glasses; Jumbo Dollar has plenty! ENJOY ! Leena

They tout being the world's largest dollar store. I have no way of validating the claim but it is definitely HUGE! It is in the former Target store at the intersection of Bellaire and Hwy 6 S. You could buy Ecuadorian chips, snack from other countries, cups, etc... (stuff you can find in a dollar store) in large amounts and variety here. If you need a lot of things cheap and on the go, this is a good one-stop shop. It's the Wal-Mart of the dollar store, almost. :-)
