I visited this location and was given the best offer and I couldn't be more happier. I was able to walk out with a new car.

This is a review of the service department. A school teacher's Kia Soul got broken into and she spent $1100+ ( $600 of which insurance reimbursed her two months later ) at another Kia Dealership to repair her ignition switch, broken plastics, turn signal stalk. Not ten months later, parking her car in a well lit part of her gated complex, again, a thief broke into her car and destroyed her ignition column. She didn't have the $$ this time, so she had the friends mechanic repair the ignition. The repair was successful, however, to keep within budget, the broken outer plastic was glued back together as a makeshift repair. Everything was working, abeit, the glued back plastics were an eyesore. The school teacher got a notice that the ignition switch was subject to a to a recall. She was told the upgraded ignition cylinder with protector could be installed . She talked to Jay the service advisor & was told that the upgraded part can be installed & plastic parts replaced for $476. She agreed & dropped off the car on Thursday. The car was ready the following Monday. As she was driving it home, it started raining. She turned on the wipers, but the wipers would not turn on. She also discovered the turn signals aren't working. As she parked her car & turned the ignition switch off, the wipers started working & so did the turn signal. Disappointed, she returned the car back to Fredy Kia & have the tech correct the install. Three hours after dropping it off, Jay texts the following message: " This is Jay with Fredy KIA. There is previous damage to the Wiper Stalk, the Turn Signal Stalk, and both Upper and Lower Steering Column covers. I have sent pics of the damage to both Stalks. We would have to order all of the parts. Turn Signal Stalk $105.00 Wiper Stalk $103.00 Upper Cover $26.52 Lower Cover $68.90 " Frustrated, she told them to STOP. She just paid $475 + tax for the recalled part labor & plastic. The ignition, wipers, & turn signal was working when she dropped off the vehicle. How can she be handed back a vehicle that is not safe to drive. This is a Kia Soul owner's experience with Fredy Kia. The school teacher was in tears over the amount of trouble this Kia Automobile has brought to her life. Opinion: Think twice before buying a Kia. Think three times before taking your car to Fredy Kia Service department.

I wouldn't come here unless you feel like being followed and harassed because you're simply browsing. We were approached by Luis and was given his card. We let him know that we were in fact just browsing and he continued to hovered and followed us across the parking lot. When we started headed back to our vehicle, a lady chased us down (across the parking lot and into the customer parking area) and questioned our intentions and when I let her know we were simply browsing, she responded with "you just decide to spend your day at the dealership?" We felt stereotyped and harassed as we walked towards our car and once we were safely inside our vehicle, they both walked back towards the main building.

I got a 2020 kia Rio from here. Not even a yr later the car start having problems. The battery was replaced multiple times FROM THE MECHANIC AT THE DEALERSHIP and nothing changed. This left me stranded multiple times and had to call tow trucks to get my car MULTIPLE times. I took my car up there to Fredy Kia MULTIPLE times and still had the same problems time after time. So many trips to Fredy Kia, so much money spend on tow truck cause Fredy kia couldnt find the problem.... I ended up selling the car. Desperate for another car I went back to fredy kia in 2023 stating my frustration about how the mechanics couldn't fix my car (hoping I'd get a good deal on another car). Ended up with another car from there. (Dumb of me, I know) I ended up going from a $300 car note to a $700+ carnote all because kia couldn't fix my prev car. Atp if you all don't have experience as a mechanic..... please apply to work at fredy kia and get paid to act like you know what you're doing. Im now stuck with a $40,000+ note that I am desperate to get rid of because I am ready to wash my hands of ANY Kia cars all b/c of this one dealership. I tried to sell this car to another dealership but the negative equity is too much. That dealership had no clue as to why my 23' kia Seltos was worth over 40k. I wouldn't recommend anyone to do business with this place at all. If you do not put a down pymt down, that's over 8K added onto how much you will owe on your car. But they won't tell you that (which I wish I had known ahead of time) Rant over.

I just wanted to add a recent update to my review from over two years ago. This evening a guy named Rafael sent me a message saying that he apologized for my bad experience and that Fredy Kia was under new management. In his message he said that they'd like to make it right. I responded that it was over two years ago and that I'd moved on and that there was no way they could remedy the situation. Rafael then sent a message offering me a $50 gift card to change my review to a 5 star review. I decided to play along to see if he'd actually do it, but he refused to give anything until the original review was deleted. As of the writing of this review, Fredy Kia has a rating of 2.0 stars out of 200 reviews. If it dramatically changes in the coming days or weeks and gets loaded full of 5 star reviews, this is why. Edit: Already two brand new 5 star reviews, lol. ** Buyer Beware **

Horrible horrible experience here ! Do not shop here !!!! Was sold a 2021 car they didn't bother checking before selling to me with an engine full of sludge ! After only 6k miles from the time I bought it I need a new engine when it's only a few years old and I've barely put miles on it ! Spent 45 minutes on hold, getting hung up on and countless transfers before I finally got a manager on the phone saying there's nothing they can do about it and even heard him in the background mocking me with fellow coworkers. Manager said he would call me back but I'm not going to hold my breath as I had to wait 45 mins to get him on the phone in the first place for him just to shrug his shoulders at me . I will be contacting Kia corporate, bbb, and Texas dmv enforcement division to launch complaints and currently talking with a lawyer to see what other avenues I can take to remedy the situation.

When I purchased my car from Fredy Kia, I was happy with the experience. I have a 2016 Kia Sportage that I purchased in 2019. In May 2023, basically, my engine died. I had it towed to the dealership and after several weeks and a couple different service reps, I was told the engine would need to be replaced, but that it was covered under a "warranty" that I later found out was due to a class action law suit on these particular engines. Great news that I wouldn't have to pay, bad news is that it would take time to get done. So after a few MONTHS and another service rep change, I finally got my car back. During this 4 month period I had to pay for a rental car out of my own pocket. Service manager said I would be reimbursed after I submitted my claim, which I would have to wait to do when I received my car and all the final paperwork. I go to pick up my car and the a/c is not working. They claim the compressor is bad and that they filled it with freon, but it would cost just under $2k to fix it. I wake up the next morning and the car won't start. Kia mechanic comes out and says its because the incorrect battery is installed, but I never installed a battery on that car. As far as I knew, that was the battery on the vehicle when they sold the car to me used in 2019. It was a 2018 battery.... Service rep AND manager also stated that I REALLY needed to get my catalytic convertor replaced because they were really bad and they could do it for just under $5k. So I took my car to an outside mechanic and the a/c was fixed for $50 because all it was was a connection that was not connected properly and he also said that my catalytic convertor was just fine. Other little things have also gone wrong or missing. Like my windshield wiper blades were all of a sudden bad. My two front speakers are now blown but worked fine before. Even a magnet off the back of my car is missing.... Top to bottom, start to finish, just poor service. Makes me not want to return to Fredy Kia for another vehicle if I have to deal with that kind of service!

I had an excellent experience with this Kia Dealership. I brought my car here to be fixed due to an attempted car theft - window shattered and some internal damage. I was very happy with the service I received. They gave me periodic updates about my car and even had it back to me a day before Thanksgiving. Overall, a very transparent and caring Kia Center!

We purchased a 2023 Kia Sole GT Line for our 16 year old a few months ago. The car is nice but the rest of the process was lie after lie. They really need to work on their honesty and stop flat out lying. We purchased the little oil change maintenance package because they said that we could get the sooner that every 7500 miles but when we took it in we were told that we had to wait until 7500 mi. Next, the add said that the car had 10 miles on it but it actually had 2600 miles and they acted like they didn't want to take $$ off for the difference and their response was " we put 10 miles on all of the ads". They push hard to sell you a warranty that is supposed to be part of the basic car warranty (don't but it). When we asked for the second key for the car we were told that their policy is to give it when we pick up the license plate and when that time came, it took them about 30 minutes to find the key. lastly, I would say that of the over 20 cars that I've purchased in my lifetime, this was by far the worst experience. Had it not been for the fact that they had the only GT Line with in a 500 mile radius, We would have purchased somewhere else. Update: We left our contact information on the voicemail after someone left a generic response to our Yelp post but as of today (7 days after we left our contact info) no one has reached out to us.

Exceptional experiences are rare these days. We never intended to buy a new vehicle today. My wife had been researching Kia Tellurides for many months after a brief Uber ride. On a whim, we decided to stop by Fredy Kia this morning after picking up her Mercedes from a service appointment at a nearby Mercedes dealership. We were immediately treated by Randy Jackson as we exited our vehicles. Randy obliged our interest and immediately provided a brief introduction to each model they had on the lot. Skipping ahead, we decided to see what kind of deal they could offer. An offer was presented, I immediately cross checked against other dealerships, stepped away to better my deal with a competitor. Randy was left with my wife to make small talk. Randy maintained a patient and helpful composure. In the end, we left with a 2024 Kia Telluride. We had no intent to buy a car today. Randy kept us informed throughout the process. He didn't play games with us. After buying many, many cars and trucks, this was one of the most straightforward and honest sales transactions I've had the pleasure to complete. The dealership is in dire need of repairs and improvements but the reputation of the Telluride and the personable and helpful attitude of Randy allowed us to ignore the surroundings. Thank you Randy.

Update: Dear Daniel E. (Business owner), thank you for attempting to reach out to me, but I have since replaced my KIA Optima Hybrid with a 2023 Hyundai Kona. The sales team, service team, finance, and management at Big Star Hyundai in Webster were so helpful. I do not regret doing business with them at all because I have a Hyundai Santa Fe that they have been servicing for the past four years. Whenever they make a mistake they are quick to own up to it and make things right. Good luck to you, your staff, and anyone who decides to do business with you.

A lady named Samantha just called me to let me know I had been preapproved for a vehicle I was looking at and wanted to know when I could come in. I explained to her that I live an hour plus away and I wasn't driving in until it was basically a done deal and to sign papers and at that time I would take care of whatever I needed to take care of. She said she would need proof of income, residence, etc and I told her that she didn't need me to come in order to have that information. I told her would gladly email this information to her. She then proceeded to say she couldn't do that and didnt want to get into any trouble. I informed her that several dealerships do it that and have never had an issue. I also explained that basically if she wanted to sell a car that bad then they would work with me so therefore its done like this. She said ok and goodbye. What a wonderful attitude to have and to help people.
