I called the store, I gentleman picked up and did not even say the name of the store. I asked him was it Kliens jewelers, he said, yes, and told me it’s 4 o’clock in the morning where he was. I was kind of clueless, because I chose the phone number of the store two minutes away from me. Anyway, he did not seem helpful, and I was not sure why I called the number that had the person and such a different time zone. If he was on vacation, he probably should have had an answering service. I don’t know. It was just weird. I’m not judging their work, I’m charging the customer service.

Very nice people. Had a broken clasp that didn’t need much fixing and they fixed it free of charge.

They lock customers out. My fiancé was going to shop for wedding bands and they wouldn't allow her in the store. This happened during open business hours.

I was referred by a colleague to Mark Klein because I was looking for an exceptional gift. Mark did not disappoint. This by far is the best local jewelry center in Houston. Mark and team were very professional in the customer experience, as well delivering an exceptional quality of jewelry. Before you shop national jewelry chains, I’d strongly recommend you visit with Klein Jewelry. Exceptional experience.

We have been a customer of Klein's for over 15 years and have never had anything but great experiences. Mark has created several one of a kind pieces for us that are truly amazing. I recommend Klein's Jewelers to anyone looking for quality and value with a very personal touch.

Great place, fair prices. Mark has some really genius designs - reversible pendants, and even reversible rings, I’ve not seen anything like them anywhere else. Very cool shop, right in the neighborhood.

Was pleasantly surprised with the selection this location had. Was looking for a last minute gift for my husband and saw the sign driving by and decided to stop in. So glad I did. Chris was so nice and a sweetheart. Very helpful and gave great ideas. Will definitely return and recommend.

Poor, inconsistent workmanship. Even worse customer service. I was prepared to be a lifetime customer and had already referred three friends in the market for engagement rings to Klein's; I ended up calling them back to revoke my recommendation. I hope this serves as a warning to any potential customers. Within six months of receiving my wife's engagement ring, the rhodium began to wear off. Within three months of receiving her wedding band, but only two weeks of actually wearing it, two of the diamonds fell out. Both times we asked for a repair, Marc's immediate reaction was to blame my wife and insinuate she is uniquely careless with jewelry. We agreed to another rhodium dip, but we declined to pay for the diamond replacements when we were told Klein's could not guarantee -- for any length of time -- that they would remain secure, but that we could purchase an additional insurance policy. We were not told anything about this policy when we purchased our rings. The policy, to remain effective, would require us to mail the ring back to Klein's for inspection and cleaning every six months. Which means, even if we had initially purchased the policy, the diamonds would have fallen out months before the first time we would have had to mail the ring back. At no point did Klein's accept responsibility for poor workmanship, nor did anyone there even entertain the idea that they had any role to play in the issues we experienced with the jewelry they made. In other words, for anyone who wants to purchase an item of jewelry that is supposed to last a lifetime -- or even a few months -- just know that Klein's itself is not confident that it will last even one day. When I asked whether Klein's offers any warranties or quality assurances aside from an additional insurance policy (which costs over twice the amount it would cost to replace the diamonds), Marc tried to explain why that wouldn't make sense by drawing an analogy between buying a ring and buying car tires. Klein's can't guarantee anything, he said, because they don't know what their customers will do with the merchandise once they leave: "You could drive over a bunch of nails and there's nothing we can do about it." He was oblivious to the fact that tires traditionally do have some form of warranty, and that patching a nail hole in a tire is a free service at most repair shops (even if they didn't install the tires). The takeaway here: Klein's believes, warrants, and guarantees that their jewelry will be as reliable as the weakest part of your car - and no more (but probably less). (Side note: After he told me this, I called three random Houston jewelers I found online, all of whom guaranteed their work for at least 6 months. They were dismayed that I even asked). Throughout my whole experience with Klein's, I remained courteous, understanding that sometimes things go wrong. All my wife and I asked was that Klein's acknowledge and remedy their mistakes. Had they acknowledged that customers do not expect, and do not pay for, their jewelry's rhodium to wear off or diamonds to fall out after a few months or weeks, and made the repairs at no charge, my wife and I would have no issues with continuing to patronize and recommend Klein's. Instead, Klein's disrespected my wife, disclaimed any responsibility for their workmanship, and insulted the intelligence of my wife and myself (car tires? really?). And for good measure, when my wife's mother retrieved the ring for the last time from them, their closing message to her was that I was mean to them.

Mark Klein was a pleasure to work with. Very fast to respond and incredibly helpful. He helped me create a black onyx necklace that is exactly what I was looking for! Excellent customer service and jewelry. I can’t wait to work with them again!
