Poor customer service. Associates will take out their frustration on customers. Avoid going to this location.

⭐️ One Star – Disappointed Despite Great Staff
I love shopping at this location and normally have wonderful experiences with the staff — most of whom are friendly, helpful, and professional. Unfortunately, I have to give this store a one-star rating due to repeated poor treatment from one specific employee, Lisa, who oversees the self-checkout area.
On Monday, June 23rd, 2025 around 12 PM, I was at the self-checkout when Lisa began loudly and rudely announcing that the area was for customers with 25 items or less. Her tone was unnecessary and sarcastic, and it caused confusion, making some customers unnecessarily move to the regular checkout lines, creating a backup.
While I was finishing my checkout, Lisa abruptly approached my station — without saying “excuse me” — and began manually adding the Primo water I was purchasing. I had intended to let her know the machine ran out before I could finish filling my 10 gallons, but she ignored me. As she turned away, she muttered that I needed to pay for the full 10 gallons because it was “almost full.”
This kind of response — cold, dismissive, and borderline hostile — is not what I expect from a company like Kroger. I believe it would have been fair and courteous to only charge for what I received. This is not the first time I’ve had a negative experience with Lisa, and I sincerely hope it’s the last.
To be clear: the rest of the team here is great. But one consistently unprofessional employee can ruin an otherwise positive experience.

Literally inferior compared to HEB. Prices too high. The sushi selection sucks as well. I hate living next to a Kroger bc I wish it was HEB

This kroger location is one of my favorite grocery stores, always well stocked, open late, friendly and knowledgeable staff, good cuts of meats and very fresh veggies and salads, along with a consistent rotation of marked-down products that are still several days from spoiling. Don't forget to use the digital deals in the app for crazy deals from time to time!

Went in this morning and I wanted to get breakfast from the bakery area, and there was nothing there. I was really disappointed.

I've been shopping at the jones and cypress north houston for 10 years now. Last 6 months i have paid for items that weren't put in my bag. And I have to waste gas to go back for that item,on top of it the cashier is very rude. When I find receipt I'll post her name. Other stores to shop at so they won't be getting my business anymore...

-ZERO STARS-
This has been my neighborhood store for 25 years. Over the past 6 years, we've watched the store, its product availability & standards drop drastically. The quality of the meat and produce is disgusting. It's always been painfully obvious when store managers have changed and that isn't a good thing for any Kroger store disposition (my opinion). Once I was going down the cereal aisle and 50 Cent's In Da Club song came on over the speaker; don't get me wrong that's an oldie but a goodie; it was playing at an inappropriate volume for a grocery store, but so loud that I couldn't continue the phone call I was on. It was a work call and my customer thought that I had just turned my radio that loud and thought it was disrespectful. Having four Kroger stores within a three-mile radius allows you to see the obvious differences between multiple stores that are run by different managers. Three of four stores are twice as far as my neighborhood store which is a mile and a half, yet I have found myself more than willing to travel to one of these due to the better products such as produce, bakery goods, and meats as well as the basic fact of the shelves being stocked. This "neighborhood" Kroger lacks the proper amount of employees to bring the carts back inside, bag groceries (I have to bag my own groceries 8 out of 10 trips), and checkers for more than one or two registers being opened during peak hours. I have also learned to check my receipts to ensure that I am properly charged for sale items as well as all of my purchases being put in my cart. I have been overcharged for sales that are posted and have had to return to the store for items that I purchased being left on the register totaling more than 50% of my trips to this store. Yesterday I took my father to grab a few things and at the register, there were 2 items that I didn't buy, but were missed by either one or two people before me. After we got home, my father was missing the pre-sliced cake that he got from the bakery. These issues are such a common reoccurrence that I've informed my parents, aunt, husband, and kids that we will only be using this location for our pharmaceutical purchases going forward. Clean this store up, and keep up with the basic customer service requirements, and customer needs, or this location will lose more customers. I have always been a fan of Kroger vs HEB (just my opinion), but I would choose them over this store any day.
