Extremely understaffed. Waited about 40 minutes to get help at the counter only to later be told that I need to check out at framing. Framing had a line too so I left and bought through Amazon

Beach with relatives 01.01.2025. A good store with supplies for hobbyists. We encountered a friendly staff. We found what we came for, we bought it. We left satisfied.

What a difference in experience!
The three young ladies were a delight.
The products are varied and a bit pricey (I worked at corporate back in the 80s, so I know the markup) than I would think, but I know the overhead too.
The attitude and customer experience was a corporate culture back then too.

Hi all. My first review is under Mozelle if you would like to take a look!
The day after Thanksgiving my family and I were ready to purchase our Christmas tree! Of course Michael’s was our first option. We decided to go to one a little further out from the store closes to us just because this Michaels is not the most pleasant. We went to the Richmond location and found a cute pencil pre lit tree. However, once we put it together, the top half did not light up. We decided to go in the next day to the location closes to see about exchanging it.
My family and I wanted to first go in, and see if they had the same tree. If so, we would do the exchange. As soon as we got to the tree area, we saw Merce (store manager). I told my girlfriend that that was her so she would be aware. We then spotted our replacement tree. My girlfriend and our two daughters went to the checkout while I went to the car to retrieve the faulty tree. As I was heading out the store, so was Merce. Appearing to be speaking on a walkie talkie to an employee regarding store sales. Once I made my way back inside. She was at checkout with my family asking my girlfriend where is the returning tree. At that point I had reached them. She then cuts off the young lady working the cash register who was politely assisting, asking us for the receipt. She tells her that she seen my girlfriend yesterday and don’t need the receipt. Completely lying and rushing the interaction.
It was so weird and unprofessional. No one checked our receipt to make sure it was a legit transaction. Let’s also talk about her appearance. She looked very underdressed to be a store manager. She had the same exact bonnet on her head that she interviewed me with. If it wasn’t for her walking around appearing to be working, you would think she was a shopper who just got out of bed. Do better and stop hating on pretty black women who have presence and capability. I promise I wasn’t planning on coming for your position. I wanted to help. Which now I see, YOU are the problem. Tanya did try to warn me about you in my first interview. Poor staff. I feel bad for them. I definitely dodged.
