I’ve been going to Nara for years. I’ve always noticed a difference in how they treated certain customers but continued to patron because of the use to be great hookahs and the social aspect it provided. As of lately, the servers have increasingly provided sub par service. Rude, disrespectful and dismissive to customers needs. One of the managers, Sam is absolutely awful. Jason, one of the owners does nothing to ensure customer service is being provided unless you’re one of his friends or card buddies. Visited another hookah spot down the street, Massaya, and the service was impeccable. Owner came over, introduced himself, and made sure I was comfortable. They offer half off on hookahs from 11-4, mon-fri and I should add that the hookah was great! Nara should do better in ensuring all customers are treated with respect and not only the ones who they see as valuable.

Every dish I tried was packed with flavor. The atmosphere was vibrant but still relaxing. The service was prompt and friendly. I can see why people love this place.

Classic. What you would expect from a quality, local Mediterranean/Middle Eastern vibe. Clean, great service, solid food. 10/10.
Now, if you order Fajitas or tacos, or Indian food or anything other than proper, classic Arabic food, then good luck. Would you order Pizza at a Japanese restaurant? No. So don’t order non-arab food here. That said, I DO think the kitchen needs to downscale their menu significantly.
Regarding food, get the chicken Tawook wrap with greek or fatoush salad and you’ll be set.
When they’re fully packed, expect to wait a bit longer. That’s just the nature of a place that is popular amongst people who know what great arabic food and good hookah is.
Nara wears the crown of Arab food in Houston, full stop.

Nara is always on point for their food and mint lemonade. Their service definitely depends on how crowded it gets if they are extremely busy their staff gets overwhelmed but very very friendly. Their manager Sam is always very attentive towards his customers which is very good and he is very friendly and cooperative.

Visited Nara Café and really enjoyed it! We ordered shisha, hummus, shawarma, and fries — everything tasted great. Nice vibes and good service. Perfect place to relax and enjoy the evening!

We came here after seeing so many good reviews, but honestly, it was a huge disappointment. We ordered the Knafeh and Manakish, both tasted awful, and our stomachs were hurting afterward. Ended up tossing $22 worth of food straight into the trash.
