Please read prior reviews regarding price discrepancies with this company and know that you have been warned.I am going to do my best to make a long story short...for years, my designer had used this company for her clients and because we have in turn used her for years, I trusted we were in good hands. We had just moved into a multi million dollar home where we used a reputable, 5 star company called Heavenly Moves and they were fabulous, honest and upfront about all charges before the move began. I purchased some furniture items from a local store called Four Hands and sadly, they do not deliver so you have to arrange for your own pickup. We have a couple of construction companies and over the years, I have used our trucks/guys to pick up items from Four Hands without any issues.Due to the fact that we had just moved and I needed quite a few items to be picked up, I decided to use Nice Moves so that we would receive our items in one delivery as opposed to multiple trips.Four Hands is less than 3 miles from our home, so I was a little taken aback when Danielle quoted us a price range from $405-$540 as they charge $135/hour. Danielle made sure to mention that it should not take that long, but they always quote on the high end. We agreed and setup a delivery date for June 16, 2023 at 10:30.On the day of delivery I waited for hours for my items and they did not arrive until 1:30! Not once, did anyone contact me to explain the delay. Two guys arrived, and while they were both very nice, professional and took great pains to avoid any damage to my house, one of the guys was older and very slow and I later discovered that they use him because he is very slow and can therefore charge customers more money. Even with my assistance, they did not complete the move until 3:30. I had to cancel multiple appointments and I was not happy. As they were wrapping up, I was told that I was going to be charged from the time they left their warehouse at 9:30 until 3:30 and that was when I saw red.Kasha, contacted me and after our discussion, I was left with the impression that all was well and that the original quote would be honored. What Danielle failed to mention was that when they pick up items for delivery, they open each and every box to inspect for damage, then repack the boxes, and then finally load the truck! If I had known that before agreeing to hire them I would have politely declined and used my own trucks and employees.I did not receive a call for payment until July 6. Again, I spoke with Kasha and it became obvious that she "forgot" our prior discussion and I was the put on the phone with I think his name was Eric, but after recent events, I think it was the owner Martin Harrelson. We had a colorful conversation where I agreed multiple times to pay the max I was quoted, $540. I am assuming he was not happy with that as to my shock and dismay, they decided on July 21, to illegally charge my designers credit card $850 because it was on file! When invoices are submitted, they are supposed to be approved first and they did not do have approval to do so and the actions of their billing manger, Barbara in Dallas resulted in multiple phone calls and emails between myself and my designer. Barbara not only hung up the phone on the both of us, but she flat our refused to transfer our calls to higher ups.I ended up looking up reviews to discover other people have had similar complaints and so, I took it upon myself to begin filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau where I was able to located Marty's full name. After an email blast to all of their offices located across Texas, did Martin Harrelson agree to refund my designer's card as Barbara was holding the charge as ransom until I agreed to pay the $850 balance! In the end, I paid the $540 that was in the original quote.I have emails as well as recordings of Barbara and another woman literally hollering at me as proof to show how horribly unprofessional this company is. I would NEVER, EVER recommend them.

As a business, it is important that every piece of furniture we deliver is well taken care of. Also the home that they are entering must be protected and us be assured that they are experienced and know what they are doing! They do a very professional job and are very efficient. And there rates are excellent because they work quickly.

The moving was smooth and the mover did a good job wrapping up the furniture. The only complain I have is that the description of the $190 two-hour two-men deal is confusing, which states travel time is not included in total hours. But actually, the time needed to travel from and to the place will be counted towards the 2-hour you bought. The owner did clarify that up-front. I ended up paying $240, which is higher than I expected but within the initial estimate the owner gave me.

Awesome job! Quick, careful, respectful and paid attention to detail. Even put the beds back together before leaving. Highly recommend!

The two men who came to our home were very polite, helpful, and competent. They were able to get the top part of the desk off, move both pieces to the second floor without hitting our walls or other objects, and re-attach the top of the desk to the lower part.

The move was scheduled and the company called several times to confirm, which was reassuring to us. The movers showed up on time as promised, were courteous and pleasant. They went right to work, efficient and respectful of our items. They promptly drove to the new place in San Antonio and unloaded. Nothing was damaged. Payment was exactly as described beforehand. I am so glad we picked Nice Moves!! Word of warning to those in Texas: we did get several estimates from vendors off Angies list, but the one that initially gave us the "best price", we later found out that their license had been revoked from DMV of Texas! My takeaway is that even though a vendor is on Angies list, consumers still need to check things out. So glad we went with Nice Moves!!
