Sports viewing is a popular pastime in any large city. Here in Houston, we have several large stadiums to accommodate professional and collegiate sports and the one that is associated with the Houston Texas is also the largest venue in the city. I am talking, of course, about NRG Stadium.\\n\\nThis stadium was built with football in mind, and it holds about 72,000 fans. The view of the field is good from most any seat. There is abundant parking surrounding NRG Stadium. It really comes down to how much you are willing to pay to park. The stadium itself offers large walking areas, large ramps to help you get in and out of the stadium with ease, and escalators/elevators to reach the higher levels.\\n\\nOne of the best features of NRG Stadium is the retractable roof. With this, you never need to worry about the weather interfering with a game or other event. You are protected under the roof and they try to keep the temperature at a comfortable level.\\n\\nWith food and drink, you can find just about anything you like at NRG Stadium, depending on your seating level. I like having lots of food options- the usual popcorn, hotdogs, and burgers don’t cut it for me. I want more choices, and you certainly get more choices at NRG Stadium. Yes, the prices are steep, but it is like this at most any NFL stadium.\\n\\nNRG Stadium was made for football, but they hold concerts here, too, and it is the centerpiece of entertainment during the Houston Livestock and Rodeo show each year in the early spring. It’s a very good stadium overall, with a modern look and feel, wide walking areas, and other features to make game day or concert day as enjoyable as possible.

Since the stadium opened for the Texans 2002 season, I have been here for all kinds of events. #WeAreTexans! The new screens (installed several years ago) are huge! The retractable roof is rarely open during the Texans games. Parking is okay if you have a parking pass. For most events when you arrive via rideshare, the rideshare dropoff area is far and you still have to walk quite a bit. The clubhouse level (300s) are so nice! The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo is always a fun and busy event.

Great for conventions. They have little food and drink spots. This time I noticed a vending machine for meds -like Tylenol and stuff, great idea!Parking is organized and efficient as is directions and staff on the inside. No complaints here.

We had a wonderful time at the Taylor Swift concert. The staff at NRG are so organized and efficient. Once we got off the metro, we were directed with staff and signs on how to get to security and inside the NRG Stadium. The stadium is clean, bathrooms essentially on every corner & there concession stands are fast and staff are friendly. Loved how easy it was to navigate the stadium and really enjoyed our time!

We had such a blast at the Taylor Swift concert on Saturday night! First things first, this is a huge stadium! Im from STL, and our stadiums aren't even close to this size. It was truly something to see and experience. We were dropped off in the designated drop off space and had to walk a bit to get to the entrance, which is understandable due to the mass amounts of people attending. Getting into the stadium was pretty simple and easy. We went through security and then got our tickets scanned. Employees were super kind and pleasant. Our seats were up high, so we took the escalator to the top. Sections were numbered at we headed up. Part of the sections were blocked off because it was behind the stage. We weren't sure how to get to our section since it was blocked off, so some signage would have been useful! We asked and got directions, problem solved. We got seltzers at a drink stand, and walked up to our seats. We were on the side and I loved it! We had our own little corner that wasn't full of a ton of foot traffic which was awesome. We had a 180 view basically of the stadium, which was so cool. Sound and effects were fantastic. We left with the crowd and knew that pick up was going to be crazy. We ended up having to go to a hotel to get picked up by our driver since traffic was wild. I'm wondering if there is a more organized system to designate more spots for pick up? All in all, we had a great experience at NRG :)

I had the pleasure of visiting NRG Stadium in Houston for the Eagles vs. Texans game in November 2022, and it was an enjoyable experience overall. The stadium itself is impressive, with ample seating and modern amenities that ensure a comfortable game day experience. The fans were also cool and welcoming, adding to the overall enjoyment of the game. However, it was surprising to see that the Texans fans were not as passionate as I had expected them to be. Perhaps it was due to the World Series happening at the same time, or the fact that the Texans were not doing well in the league. In contrast, Eagles fans were much louder and more visible, with more Eagles fans present than Texans fans.Despite the lack of passion from Texans fans, I still had a great time at the stadium. It's a nice and big stadium, with a great atmosphere for football. The only downside is the fact that the Texans franchise has struggled since its founding in 2002.Overall, I would recommend NRG Stadium as a great place to catch a football game. While the Texans may not be the best franchise in the league, the stadium itself and the fans make up for it. I would definitely consider returning for another game in the future.

We love going to NRG, the reason for the 4 out of 5 is solely due to parking. Arriving, parking, and departing are always hectic. If the event organizers could just figure out a better flow for traffic it would increase the excitement of going to an event at NRG. We attended Monster Jam on 11 February 2023, and had a blast. The rodeo is up next and we'll be there for that as well. If you haven't had a chance to visit the NRG Stadium I highly recommend it, just give yourself plenty of time to arrive, park and depart the stadium.

I basically had the time of my life at the New Kids on the Block concert at the Rodeo of 2023. I guess only 80s babies will understand why? I lived out my childhood dreams and enjoyed the entire show. New Kids can STILL sing and dance! All concerts at the Rodeo have a star shapped stage, so each fan gets views of the artists throughout the show. It's essentially spinning , so everyone has a chance to catch a nice view, and there should be no "bad seats." I enjoyed it. The large screens make it very easy to catch the action up close.Getting into the concert was easy enough. It was the getting out part that got a little wonky.

I got to go to the Rodeo for the first time ever! The place is huge!! The events are so serious and many companies and people are involved! Carnival was fun and the shows in the stadium were also awesome! I'm not used to attend a big event like this but once in awhile it's a good one! There are many food shops but they are almost all meat based so it's difficult to have meals as vegetarian plus foods and drinks are extremely expensive!! I guess that's everywhere at the stadium but I felt ripped off by paying $6 for a bottle of drink or water Anyways, if you'd like to see the rodeo, it's a great place to be! Come and be mesmerized!Cheers

Why 4 stars? Because it's a bit bland, but I don't have any major complaints. --- --- ---I have been to all 30 MLB stadiums and several NFL/NBA venues, so I'd like to think if there's anything I have an above-average expertise in, it's this. My takeaway from NRG is that it was fine. Nothing really stood out to me as unique or incredibly cool, but there are basically no negatives either. The sound was a bit off, but I realize it's hard to get that perfect in a cavernous venue like this. And there wasn't really any character to speak of, but they did try to add some fun activities outside in the parking lot. There were several games for kids, with plenty of live music everywhere. I've been to NRG a few times before but it's probably been 10+ years before this most recent visit. This time, I scored free club-level seats and the experience was pretty flawless. We could order food/drink from our seat and a server would bring it to us. I didn't have anything, so I failed to take advantage of this. But I did like having a restroom that was about 50 feet from my seat and never filled up the way that the non-club restrooms do. There were also several bars and concession stands right next to us, but again, I didn't eat/drink.I didn't do much walking around inside the stadium, other than my walk straight to our section, but I probably didn't miss anything since the club-level is one of the nicest in the stadium. In the future, I'll be back for any Cleveland Browns game, but I have no interest in the other games. Truthfully, that would remain the case whether I loved or hated NRG Stadium.

Had the pleasure of attending the Texans/Commanders game during the weekend of November 20. Quite impressed with the layout of the stadium as it is clean inside, seats are large with space, and you get a good view of the field as our section was at the 10 yard line at section 130. The stadium was practically a Commander take over but still a handful of Texan fans to cheer their team (one of these days, they'll get it together).Food vendors are impressive with tex-mex and bbq options. Had the brisket sandwich from Killen's BBQ which I'm pleased they serve as part of the concessions. Alcohol prices are high ($11 for a beer) but that's to be expected at any sports stadium. We had parking passes in the blue lot which made it easy to park and tailgate and then leave without much trouble. Plus the staff was friendly and helpful. Being from the nation's capital and having been to Fed Ex field too many times, you appreciate a helpful stadium staff and clean functional aspects of the venue itself. No doubt I'll attend a game/event here again!

Not our first visit to NRG, but it was our first time seeing a NFL game here. Wow!!! What an experience!! I'm not one for crowds and noise, but I would definitely do this again. Gorgeous facility and great customer service.

The Texans fans might be the friendliest fans in the world. You accept me with my Eagles-Vick jersey on with open arms! The stadium itself could use some updating, doesn't matter. It's the people that make this stadium amazing. GO BIRDS!!!!

We attended a Texans game on Saturday with our kiddos and had a blast! We were fortunate enough to stay in a hotel within walking distance of the stadium.. so that's exactly what we did, walk to the stadium! The facility is great.. very BIG! We all thoroughly enjoyed the game! Tons of options for concessions, plenty of restrooms, and a great view of the game from any seat.
