Disappointing and terrible customer service!!! I purchased a desk at a local O D store in Pearland. July 05. A few days later I went to put it together and it was damaged, and the glass top was broken. The local store where it was purchased was closed due to losing power from Hurricane Beryl. So I went to this location on Kirby because they had 2 more in stock. The manager would not accept the return because the box had been opened. The desk was not even unpacked from the box. I had only opened one end until pieces of glass poured out.
I understood Office Depot’s return policy was you could return any item to any store ; new, opened, unopened, or damaged. This particular store manager makes his own rules. If you look on Google reviews, you see the manager and customer service is a common complaint. That’s disappointing and not in alignment with other Office Depot stores. I called and emailed, what I thought was their corporate office, and asked for a call back to share my experience and I never heard back. CUSTOMER BEWARE

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. This location is consistently out of stock on ink and paper, which is crazy considering it’s an Office Depot. The workers in the print shop are consistently under-trained, and can’t really answer questions about print jobs, and seldom seem like they can comfortably use the print equipment. The last time I went here, I asked for a manager because I wanted to complain about the lack of quality at this location. I ASKED TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE WHO THE MANAGER WAS, AND THEY COULDN’T POINT ME TO A SINGLE PERSON WHO WAS IN CHARGE. If that’s not the epitome of everything that is wrong with this establishment, I don’t know what is. Save your time and money, and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

So I go into office depot, an office supply store, to get an ink refill. And I was told they don't have it and I could try to find one to match it, which I explained you do not have any on the shelf. I was advised probably try target or walmart. So my response was oh I guess I shouldn't come into an office supply store for office supplies. Why would I do that for heaven sakes! Amazing.... Walmart & Target have stopped carrying ink pen refills so I've been trying for weeks at Office Depot. It's hard to order online when the refill doesn't have any ID or order number or name to reference. Ugh!

Horrible service. Poor staff and poor management. Lack of professionalism and shows no compassion for customers. Please go elsewhere. I waited almost 30 minutes to print and manager refused to help me and advised me to read instructions and do self print or wait in longl line about 30 more minutes for assistance. Very very dissatisfied with this location. Please go elsewhere and do not ruin your day or waste your time at this location.

On May 13, I visited Office Depot on Kirby. I purchased laminating tape for my PTouch printing machine . I did not know how to insert the tape so I asked the person at the register to assist me and she said she did not know how and I said to her then find someone who can we is the manager she said I am the manager, I then stated to her well you should know how to do this and she told me it wasn’t her job description and if I did do it for you, it would be a favor.
She didn’t like the way I asked her or told her she was responsible for assisting me and she told me BYE as I walked out the store. She was very unprofessional. I don’t know where she came from, but I’ve never seen her at that location before . Now, where was the customer service in that transaction very disappointing

Staples or Office Depot? It's just like Pepsi or Coke? Anyway, I just went to this store for some office supplies and I got them. Free parking as well!

I went in for photo prints and the photo center worker has a terrible attitude. She was rolling her eyes at customers and acted like she didn’t want to help me print.
