I asked if they had any Busch products and they said no, yet I found 3 Busch products without even looking. Not a good variety of trains.. lots of boxes everywhere you can trip on. Clearance trains/cars are old and beat up. At least he answered my questions.

Excellent service and selection; especially N scale! Doug was super friendly and extremely helpful! Highly recommend! The gentleman behind the counter did put off a bit of the curmudgeon vibe, but don't let that deter you! (He might have been a little gruff because we came in at the last minute and stayed past closing!)I think the majority of negative reviews are from disgruntled parents of very small children who assume this is like a generalized toy store. It's a specialty shop with lots of small, delicate and often quite expensive items. Some kiddos are good in that scenario, but many may be too young to appreciate the environment.

I'm an elderly handicapped lady with a small yorkie Today we were kicked out of the store by Al. the owner the rudest man I've ever in my whole 72 years have ever encountered. he claimed my yorkie peed in his store. I never saw her pee. i tried to apologize and say I didn't know. He yelled at me that I need glasses. He yelled at me to get out!! I let him know I'm handI capped and need a minute He said he didn't care.... Ponted with his ugly skinny hand to get out! As I left I noticed a sticker on his door that They Love Dogs! My husband also handicapped got on his knees to clean up a teaspoon of dog pee. if there even was any.... Al himself owns a greyhound who was also in the store. poor dog... We will never go back To add my poor husband had been so excited to start a hobby. We will do business elsewhere

Our first Lionel train set (Harry Potter) made a perfect Christmas village setting under our Christmas tree. We got the train set and most of the accessories from Papa Ben’s whose owner and staff are probably the nicest people in the business. We love dropping by their store!

My 8 y.o. son was interested in an electric powered train set, and these guys were patient to assist him in finding the perfect starter. I don't understand why there are negative reviews when everyone who worked there were so kind, and encouraged my son's enthusiasm. These guys tell it like how it is. I'd gladly return here.

Great place to visit and shop for model train products. Large selection of Consignment items reasonably priced. Just have to visit frequently to get the bargins before they dissappear! Staff has always been friendly to me.

Allyn was extremely rude - definition of a grumpy old man. Was disappointed to do a little research and find out he’s the owner.I had my children with me and they were behaving and keeping their hands to themselves. Just looking around and at the display behind the plexiglass.. At the very end I allowed them to pick one piece of a track and one small train cart. Allyn came over barking that we were going to have to purchase the items (which we had planned to do and he knew that as he was hovering over us) and terrified my kids. Had they not really wanted their items I would have walked out. Waste of $55 - I hate that we supported this business.A search on local Facebook pages shows this is a common occurrence with this man - too bad. Probably time to retire.
