Called ahead came in to get a tire put on my truck. The price. Online was different than the price when I got there. I showed the attendant the price as it showed up online for an in-store purchase not buying a tire online. I wasn’t about to argue, so I just paid the extra five or six dollars whatever it was. I asked him to ask the person changing the tire and putting the new one on to please check the old tire to make sure it was in fact needing to be replaced. It was showing low air, but it did not look low or flat. I went around to look at my truck, which was in the bay at that point. And the wrong tire had been removed. When I pointed it out to the person that I spoke to at the counter initially, he started to blame me. I told him I knew what tire I was coming to replace. He was just not listening. He never would admit he made a mistake. Then they never checked the tire to see if it was in fact, needing to be replaced . The kid was actually working on the tire, then checked it. Initially, it was determined that there was a nail in it. Then on further inspection, the tire did need to be replaced. I waited a long time even though I was the only person there. Additionally, this same person is the person I dealt with several months back when I bought two new tires for my Corvette. I ordered them online and had them shipped to Pep Boys. When I came in, he told me the price of the installation. I told him I’d already paid for installation. He proceeded to argue with me until I pulled up the email showing that I had paid for installation. Until that point,, he was steadily with me that I needed to pay for .

Ordered a Michelin tire and made an appointment online to replace a plugged tire, drive for an hour and half from Missouri city during a heavy rainy day at peak traffic. Arrived and the shop people said sorry we have a glitch in our online systems that shows inventory is in stock but it isn’t!! This is wrong at som many levels. Manager is out for a week. They refused to give me the name of the district manager. Very disappointed, tried to call the 800 number got lost in a useless directory no options to leave a message. Opened LinkedIn and found Texas area manager and requested to connect. Let’s see if anyone cares!!

My wife took her Volkswagen Tiguan back in June for an oil change. We usually go to the dealer but thought it would be cheaper. I don't know what they did but 1 day later oil was leaking everywhere and it destroyed the serpentine belt. Meanwhile we are saving money to repair the leak. A few months later we take the car to the dealership and the oil has destroyed almost all the seals, a total of $6,000 worth of repairs. Maybe they don't know how to service european vehicles, I don't know, but we're never going there again.

This was my first experience with Pep Boys. The man who helped me at the desk was so knowledgeable, patient and listened to all of my concerns. Also, since it took a couple hours for a tire change and oil change, I was able to spend most of the time walking around Home Depot and had lunch at the Whataburger next door! I will be back. Recommended!

I have been a customer with pep boy for over 10yrs...the overall service has improved over the years...JR and Angel are great....Im extremely satisfied with Jose the manager...he is always willing to help, find the parts need and finish my vehicle as soon as possible...He's a keeper..

I made an appointment and even arrived a little bit earlier because as we know time is money. The advisor went over the expectations and explained the services and indicated it would take approximately an hour so I proceeded to go to nearby restaurant while service began. After leaving restaurant for a little over an hour I walked back into Pepboys to see if vehicle completed and my vehicle was still parked where I left it. The advisor seemed confused as he called over a mechanic and wanted to know what the delay was and even made a comment to his crew "come on guys that's why people make appointments so they can leave in a timely manner." I didn't expect to receive this type of delay.

Roadside insurance towed the vehicle and the Pep Boys team did an amazing job taking care of my needs for my mother-in-law. They were honest and made sure I was aware of the other tires and wear concerns. The manager Angel is super helpful as well as his staff. Great work and Thanks to ALL

Horrible customer service.I understand for a Sunday you may have less staff. Yet communication needs development at this location.They said to me the night before 9am I could get an alignment. Sunday came and they placed me down, then told me 10.10am came around the manager simply told me “I don’t know when my guy is coming in”. No further explanations or options, I had to call him out before he tried to help another customer to discuss my options.Go to the location south of Shepherd, better communication, better staff, and better work overall.

It was my very first time at any Pep-Boys. I was able to to view the tires I wanted online and go into the store and talk with the manager Jose at store #239 in Houston and he not only listen to my concerns on how I wanted to install my tires but make sure his guys understood. I would say it was a great experience and would definitely do business here again.

Like the reviews say please go else where they have no sense of urgency everything it's going to take about "an hour" even when it's not a lot of business
