I am writing to formally address the tragic loss of my two-month-old Yorkshire Terrier teacup, who passed away under your clinic’s care on Monday 24 February 2025. It is with profound grief that I recount the circumstances of her death, which I believe resulted from critical negligence.
According to the medical report, she was administered an overdose of the Dapp medication, a catastrophic error that led to her untimely passing. As a pet owner, I entrusted your clinic with her care, and I am deeply distressed by the lack of professionalism and oversight that caused this irreversible harm.
While I acknowledge the complexities of veterinary medicine, this incident reflects a severe deviation from accepted standards of care. My attorney is currently reviewing the matter to determine appropriate next steps. I request a full investigation into this incident, including a detailed account of the protocols followed and steps taken to prevent such tragedies in the future.
I am broken, and I cannot believe I have to write this. My little girl is gone, and I will never forgive them for what they’ve done.

I’m currently standing at the Banfield counter, waiting for the employee to end a customer call. I’ve been here for 20 minutes and it was then that she finally called for someone else to come help me. I told her she should’ve done that 15 minutes ago. No one came and she finally ended the call, only for me to find out that she was not able to help me. She said I had to ask a PetSmart employee about the prescription pet food. You might want to offer some good old-fashioned Customer Service training. Yes, I know they are two separate companies, but one would think that prescription food would be monitored by Banfield. I’ll never get that 25 minutes of my life back. Chewy, you have a new customer!

Let me start off by acknowledging that it was my bad for booking a grooming appointment last minute without researching the place.
I normally do my dog’s grooming, but recently started having back issues, so I needed help bathing by ~65lb Malinois. He’d been to a groomer elsewhere once before (his first time ever being groomed) for a bath and de-shedding appointment, and despite the groomer warning me she wouldn’t push him if he didn’t do well, when I picked him up, she said he did fine; therefore, I thought he’d be fine again this time.
When I dropped him off, he was already anxious and I told the girl that in-took him not to worry about nails or anything else, I just cared about the bath. The first call I got from the groomer was to tell me that he hadn’t done well for the bath and that he kept trying to bite and almost got her too. He’s a Malinois and bites at the water and dryer even when I groom him, but I understand that whether a bite is intentional or not, it’s a liability. So I said “that’s fine, I can pick him up.” I even have my own dryer so I told them they didn’t have to worry about drying him, but the lady said he was in a kennel drying and that they’d call me when he was a bit more dry.
Fast forward, when I finally go pick him up, the way they told me that my dog “doesn’t like water” and “kept eyeing” the groomer when she brushed him immediately gave me the impression that they either don’t know how to deal with high-drive dogs or worse, they don’t know how to properly work with a generally stressed/anxious dog. The way they spoke about his behavior made it seem like they’d barely survived an aggressive dog appointment, and if that’s the energy they had while grooming him, I understand WHY he didn’t do well.
They got the bath done, he smelled fine, and his fur felt clean, but my dog came out of there INCREDIBLY stressed and didn’t calm down for a good half hour after we got home.
I will say I very much appreciated the girls at the register when I checked out, because both of them were very nice/calm and despite him being stressed, my dog even went up to one of them, let her pet him, and took a treat from her hand fine. Made me even more certain that my dog wasn’t the problem.

I’ve been going here the past 6 months for my new pup, and i’ve never had a problem till yesterday. The groomers we’re supposed to cut his hair and they recommended to get it with the bath so he can feel more comfortable, an hour after i drop him off they call me saying they couldn’t cut his hair because he kept licking the clipper. I mean he’s a puppy what do you expect, if they can’t cut a puppy’s hair they’re not real groomers. I also go to the banfield hospital and she told me if my puppy doesn’t get these certain shots today he’s going to have to start over on his vaccines. When i picked him up they said “it was a glitch in the system,” and he already had those shots. They wanted me to pay out of pocket for a mistake they made when I've been paying a monthly bill of $70 for all his shots. They didn’t do nothing but waste my time and $40 for a damn bath that i could’ve game him at home.

I wish I could save all of those poor beta fish. The workers don’t care. I even talked to the lady who I assume was the manager. I asked if she was and she didn’t confirm nor deny. She didn’t seem to care about the poor water condition that the betas were living in. I asked why it was so dirty and she said “algae”. Why don’t they do water changes? There was a worker who had left a siphon connected to some water for at least 10 minutes. This is so upsetting to see.

Every time we visit this store, we have to ask them several times before they can even get an item for us. They just totally ignore us. And if they decide to get it for us, they just give us an attitude.

Had to put our 3 pups for the thanksgiving weekend for 2 days only. Picked up our dogs yesterday, and 2 of my dogs are unneutered and both of their balls are sooooo red and irritated and very flaky like it got heated or something. I am thinking the place where they put my dogs are cleaned with a strong chemical and they let the dogs in without drying those chemicals, i can see how uncomfortable my dogs are! Plus they dont even give updates about my
Dogs, do they even play with them like they promise?! I will def file a BBB, these are not just my dogs! These are my family!

This review is about the grooming department. We've used this location for years and haven't had issues up until this year. Our groomer, Maria R., did not disclose that they were unable to express my dog's anal glands and we ended up spending over $500 at the vet to find out the reason he can't urinate or poop is because his anal glands were FULL. We won't be returning to this location.

Groomer charged for nail grind that wasn’t completed. My dog’s nails are still way too long and the service was not finished. Was told that they couldn’t cut them shorter because the “vein” but the vein isn’t to the floor. If you can’t provide a service, then return the money charged for it. My dog is uncomfortable and now we have to go somewhere else and pay again. Pet hotel service was great.
