Really great studio with kind owners - they even stayed open late to let us finish our pieces! It is very reasonably priced and the final outcome is really beautiful. We will be back many times.

We had the most amazing time at a birthday party here! I can’t speak highly enough about the owners!! They are the most wonderful and kind people I’ve ever met. They were so helpful and attentive the entire night, he really went above and beyond to made sure that we had everything we needed to make the party perfect! I can’t wait to come back!❤️

I decided to have my 26th birthday party here and it was the best decision I have ever made. My 13 friends came, and we all painted our own plates, and the following week for my boyfriend‘s birthday, we had a dinner party with the plates! It was such a fun night and it was such a priceless memory, and all my friends are so excited to go back for any excuse that we can!! We were in such good hands here- they let us bring our own food, alcohol, we even had an iPad with the Texans game playing, and we had a section of the place blocked off for our party. They pulled plates for us in advance, so we all were guaranteed to have a dinner plate to paint. The tables were set when we arrived with plates ready, and they even let us move the tables around so that we could all face each other, and when I picked up the plates five days later, all of them were set out so I could see them all and they were packaged up so nicely and bubble wrap in a box for me to take. I can’t recommend purple glaze more. I told everybody I know about it and if you’re thinking of throwing a party or even just having a couple friends go or even just going yourself I 100% recommend you go and make this incredible memory!!!

Had such an amazing time painting at Purple Glaze! Compared to other studios I've been to before, you can really feel the passion the owners have. They were super helpful, and gave great instructions on how to ensure your piece turns out the best it possibly can. Great selection of pieces to choose from, and fair pricing. Turnaround time for my piece was only a few days. Highly recommend swinging by next time you're looking for something new to do with your friends!

beautiful pottery painting AAPI-owned studio! The owners are the absolute kindest people on earth. located in Rice Village, this place is perfect for a group of friends, a fun date, or a birthday party. I love painting my own “masterpieces” here with their huge variety of colors. The atmosphere is cozy and warm. I will never stop coming here :)

Purple glaze is so much fun for older kids! The studio is a little small so I wouldn’t suggest bringing a toddler. But my older kids(7&9) love coming and we can easily spend 2 hours painting here. The woman that runs it is always very sweet as well!

For all the Picassos in us! This place was so fun and charming. It gave me a nostalgic feel of art class back in middle school. I chose this painting activity as a first date :) They do offer painting parties and whatever occasion you are seeking. Just ask the owner. I didn't get his name, but he's very kind and patient. First you choose the piece, and the price varies depending on the piece. Then the owner gives you a brief explanation of each area; paintbrushes, paint colors, sponges, etc. Next, you'll paint your masterpiece. Once completed, you'll leave your piece to get finished off in the kiln and it'll be ready for pickup in a few days. Parking can be tight, and is specifically marked per retailer since it's in a busy, posh area. This is a relaxing experience. Will definitely come back again when I'm feeling the creative juices flowing!

I stopped by just to check it out, to see if I may potentially want to visit, host a party or whatever. The door was unlocked, so I went in only to be met by a rude man who said, "I guess you didn't see the closed sign." If you're not open, keep the door locked. Or be courteous and say you're not open just yet.
