The only positive thing I have to say about this location is that it is close to home. However, Aldi is just as close and HEB is not much further. It's just easier than dealing with Shepherd/Durham.

This is not the closest location near me, so it was my first visit for a pickup order. My experience with Kroger pickup has not always been favorable. However, I must say, Monique has changed my opinion. Good customer service is difficult to find these days, but she went above and beyond, which exceeded my expectations! She was kind, thoughtful with regards to substitutions and packing groceries. Thanks again Monique, they need more people like you!!

I like this Kroger, however it is severely understaffed. Never have more than two checkouts open and rarely have more than one employee bagging. I dont like having to use self-checkout with many items. Also alot of homeless people and crackheads hanging out in the front of the store by the shopping carts.Still beats the sshow that is the Heights HEB

This location treats its customers like they're in a reform school or prison. They really need to clean house. Their coffee was past the date, and as I searched farther back on the shelf there were some that expired in 2022! It's now April 2023. If the clerk that stocks the coffee does that to one brand, he's doing it to every bag of coffee. Well, before closing time, they stop allowing people in the store. I can easily pick up a few essential items in 5 to 10 minutes. If they close at 11 that means they should close at 11. Not 1045. Also 30 minutes before they close they start reminding you every five minutes that the computers will shut down and when will not be able to check out his groceries if they are not brought up to the front immediately. I believe the customer service should be just as good in one location as another.

Upside for this Kroger is it's close to GOOF. The rest isn't so great. The produce here is miles below the produce at HEB. It feels like everyone here is aimlessly wandering through a fog, not really paying attention to who is nearby or who they're blocking. I understand that's a customer issue not a business issue, but I haven't had that problem at other grocery stores. The self-checkout attendants spend most of their time on their phones and it can take quite a while for them to notice if you need age verification unless you reach out and grab them. There are also a consistent stream of people begging for money in the parking lot. I'll stop by here to get something pre-packaged/canned/etc, but there are better spots for produce and meat in my opinion.

This review will be about the super clean store and one specific item that I came to purchase- Apple pie filling, specifically the Kroger brand. If the word is it out I am spilling the beans on the pie filling. It has been said that there is more apples than all that sugary slime that is in most pie filling and I can say the rumor is true. They beat all the names brands. Open the can and it's stuffed with apples. I purchased quite a few/not saying how many but it was a bunch. Came home and made everything imaginable with apple pie filling as it's THAT good. The store is very chic looking and very clean. The aisles are a bit skinny and carts seem to have some maneuvering issues but the PIE FILLING- did I mention the pie filling. Come for whatever else you need but leave with Kroger pie filling.

Location:43rd Staff: average can be nice or moody Price: they have good deal Quality: its definitely gone down Parking: lots This location used to be one of my favorites as they were always fully stacked and well maintain. It seems like after COVID it's gone down hill and over all all krogers just insist on forcing everyone to do self check out. I honestly enjoy interacting with others sickly as cashier but it seems like they want you to work for free. I believe if krogers wants us to do self check out they should at least provide some type of discount. If you are lucky and get in the only cashier open lane you will still need to sack your own bags as it seems they only have one person and it's usually picking the outside carts. I do enjoy their flowers selection.

I used to love this store but in the last year or so it has really really gone down. Customer Service is a zilch. I am mainly referring to the customer service department. Some people just don't need to be in a public position where they're dealing with customers. Stocking shelves would be more suitable. This lady is so negative it's pathetic. She tries her best to not be accommodating. I have NEVER seen a smile on her face. There used to be a lady there who was so pleasant. You would want to just walk by and speak to her even if you didn't have business to take care of just to receive the pleasantries and a smile. She retired a while back and it has never been the same.

Literally the worst grocery store I've ever been to. So many employees walking around yet there's never anyone willing to help. Prices are outrageously high compared to other stores, and they randomly shut down entrances and block aisles with lines of carts as the employees stand there and chit chat. I fully regret my choices that led me to come here tonight, drive the extra few miles and go to the HEB in the heights. At least you'll have a good and less expensive shopping trip!

I just left this location at 1:06pm today. I did self check out, however one of the regular checkout lane employees loudly said "Bye mean girl" as I was walking by and proceeded to follow up by saying "I worked with a girl who looked like her. She never smiles so I call her mean girl" This employee was talking extremely loud the entire time I was minding my own business. The customer obviously did not care to hear this either. Pointless comment. This happened right after an employee named "Isaiah" got a $5 donation. Does it ever occur to you that I don't owe anyone a smile?! Maybe I'm busy thinking about non-Kroger related s***** Especially someone who I didn't even notice until they said something to me?! This type of classless loud a** female needs to be working somewhere far away from customers. Tell her to mind her own damn business.

One of your employees was in the bathroom at 11:55am today, with her smock touching all kinds of services. Pretty gross. And she was playing music on her phone like she was jamming at home

This Kroger is only good for packaged goods. I've been in a few times with a longer list of fresh produce items and have rarely been able to complete my shopping. You are better off going to the Whole Foods on Yale or H-E-B in the heights. If you are a die hard Kroger enthusiast, the Kroger in lower heights off 10/Studemont is the one to go to.

Oh the grocery chain on 43rd street who's only saving grace is convenience with the occasional bargain items and the location being the closest grocery store to my residence. Sadly everything else you've heard about this place is true which is a testament to how they operate. Employees move at the pace of a broken F1 car and seem annoyed when you ask them for help so I stick to the self-checkout when paying for items. Their attitudes explain why this store is one of the dirtiest grocery stores I've ever set foot in. The parking lot looks gross with debris and trash lying around and some sections inside have misplaced items and stickiness on the shelves. Some items I'll go for is the packaged cubed cheeses and their ready-made popcorn chicken which is a guilty pleasure. Aside from that, I have no reason to set foot in here unless I need an item in a jiffy. Cmon Kroger, do better!

I came here because I live 2 minutes away and I always come here every week. I encounter a very rude and violent employee that literally burped in my face. She was very obnoxious and said "THAT'S DAMN RIGHT ILL FART, BURP if I want to etc. I deescalated the situation by just walking away and speaking to the manager. This behavior should NOT be unacceptable. I'm very disappointed as this was my favorite store location.

Don't use ClickList for pick-up or delivery. You won't get what you ordered. It doesn't matter how basic what you ask for is, the staff at this Kroger will screw it up.
