We bought a range rover engine from them, was quoted a price and then went to order and they want to charge a percentage for credit card use, can't you tell your customers up front about that charge? Then we waited 2 weeks longer to get the engine here, after we returned the core, we had to call 3 times to get a core refund. once we installed we found the oil pan cracked, all around a horrible experience.

Subject: Exceptional Service by Ali at Ronda Auto PartsI recently had the privilege of working with Ali at Ronda Auto Parts for the repair of two Range Rover engines, and I cannot express enough how impressed I am with his service. Legit business,I needed a used engine for a 15 Range Rover, my usual suppliers were unable to procure one for me so I had to find it myself. Purchasing a used engine online from a random independent out of state supplier can be risky, so I called.Like others stated, Ali(business owner) takes the calls himself which I can appreciate. He was straightforward, and willing to do what it takes to assure me I was dealing with a legit business. From videos of the rebuild parts, processes, even gave me references from California shops he's supplied and both gave him good reviews.Everything was as promised from the solid rebuild (1500mi service no issues) to the shipping, and core refund, very professional.Dave H

Beware!!!I searched the internet looking for a replacement engine for our 2012 Range Rover HSE. I found what looked to be a good deal at Rhonda Used Auto Parts. Reading the description from their website, they indicate how their mechanics rebuild these engines every day and they use only quality replacement parts while upgrading every weak component. I called and spoke to the owner and he confirmed that the engines are rebuilt according to specifications and held to the highest standard.I purchased the engine and had a Certified Land Rover mechanic install it. Everything was fine for a couple months but my wife doesn’t drive very much so it only had about 500 miles on it. I took the vehicle in for an alignment and the mechanic noticed an oil leak that wasn’t noticeable before because most of the oil was pooling in the plastic protective covers on the underside of the vehicle. After steam cleaning and running the vehicle, the mechanic finally determined that the leak was coming from the crankshaft behind the timing cover. As he pulled everything apart, the crank bolt was literally finger tight…. Per Land Rover, there should be some sealant on the crankshaft keyway and timing cover should be replaced each time it is removed. The mechanic found old sealant (it was not renewed) and the old timing cover had been reinstalled. He also noted that three of the bolts for the timing cover were stripped out. This can be a result of the engine overheating or the bolts being over torqued. After I spoke to my mechanic, I contacted Rhonda Used Auto Parts and spoke to the owner. He asked me to text him some pictures of the oil leak which I did. He said it’s just a timing cover leak and it’s not a big deal. I asked him how the crank bolt could be loose. He said there’s no way it was loose and that my mechanic was making things up. I asked him if it were possible that his mechanics didn’t torque the bolt to the factory specifications and he said they do this all the time and it’s always done right. The problem is that after confronting him with using the old timing cover, he admitted in the text exchange that they knowingly reuse the timing covers to avoid having to purchase a new one because it has to come from Land Rover and the kit is an additional $500. I told him that the part is $150 from Land Rover (because my mechanic purchased one for the vehicle) and that he should not advertise in print/verbally that they rebuild these engines to Land Rover specifications when they don’t follow protocols they are fully aware of. He clearly lied to me when I was shopping for this engine and then lied again when he quoted the price for the timing cover part. At this point, I can’t believe anything he says based on his current track record. When I pressed him about this issues, he didn’t know what to say other than “it’s not a big deal.” I explained to him that I would have gladly paid him an additional $150 to replace the timing cover for the engine instead of having to pay $1,200 for my mechanic to diagnose the oil leak, tear down the front of the engine and put everything back together the correct way using new parts when needed, torquing bolts to specifications and fixing other issues that their mechanics created when they rebuilt the engine in the first place. He made no concessions and simply stated that my mechanic was making a big deal out of nothing. I would not trust this company if I were looking for a used engine. I’m still fearful that something else will go wrong that hasn’t been found yet. The biggest issue is that this is my wife’s car (and one year old child) and now I am just waiting for the call that she’s stranded by the side of the road because Rhonda Used Auto Parts short changed the rebuilt in more ways than a reused timing cover.

Initially, I had high hopes about working with Ronda Auto Parts. The reviews had me convinced this was the best move for us, but boy were we wrong. After almost one year, a “new” engine, and more than $15,000 spent at this establishment, my 2015 Range Rover Supercharged is in significantly WORSE shape than it was before. Ali made many promises to work with us and convinced us he was “helping” my husband and I; however, we simply are more frustrated still need another engine, and still owe on the vehicle. I am beyond disappointed with my experience. He was helpful as long as we were dishing out money for his theoretical solutions. Once I lost my job and told him we couldn’t afford to keep spending thousands, the help stopped. Each time they “fixed” one problem, they created a new one. All in all, our vehicle needs another $20k minimum of work. The engine Ali put in was defective and the check engine light never went off. He even offered to swap parts with other vehicles that were there for service to see if it would fix issues. Those customers had no idea! We feel lost and don’t know what to do now.

I usually don't write feedbacks but this company deserves one. I took my 2016 Range Rover to the dealer after it started leaking coolant and steaming under the hood. They told me it may need a headmaster for $22k or engine for $28k. I searched for a used engine and tge cheapest I found was $12k with 70k miles. The exchange coat was $4k.I searched more on web and found RONDA AUTO parts ad for New rebuilt engine for only $6k. I called and spoke with Ali and he explained what he would do if he were to replace my engine. I decided to ship my car from Irvine California to his shop in Houston and paid 750 for the truck to take it. Ali replaced my entire engine and components with new ones and New Raditor and Hoses all for $10k including his $3k labor to exchange the engine. I paid 650 for truck to bring it back after he finished it. The entire job cost me $11,350 and I got a Brand New Engine. I am so happy that I found Ali who is a very talented, knowledgeable and honest individual. He loves his job and money is not his motivation. Rare to find!Thank you again Ali.Search No More if you have an issue with your Rover.Highly Recommend.Michael Milan

I took my daughters 2014 Range Rover Sport in for a new engine. Ronda Used Auto Parts came highly recommended by friends in the industry. I am extremely pleased with the professional treatment I received and professional service as well. The engine was installed in the estimated time that was promised and I was kept updated every step of the way. Videos were sent to me as the job progressed which were very informative. Knowing that the car belonged to my daughter Ali graciously fixed little things that were not part of the original estimate to please her. I will recommend his business to all my family and friends. Ronda Used Auto Parts is truly the best Range Rover repair facility in Houston

I can't say enough wonderful things about Ali and Ronda Auto Parts. As a general contractor with a kitchen and bath business based in Denver CO, our Mercedes Benz Sprinter is vital for our business. After doing a routine engine service at a local mechanic, the engine started knocking and we had to park the van, which significantly disrupted our business. After getting quotes between $18K - $20K to repair the engine, we got in contact with Ronda Auto Parts in Houston. Ali over at Ronda was extremely professional and responsive. After towing the van to Houston, he and his team were transparent and honest with the issues with the engine and recommended a replacement. During the process he was communicative and kept us up to date with the progress of the work. The quote was also significantly less than what we were being quoted in Denver. After working on the van for a couple of weeks, the replacement engine was finally installed and he shared videos of the van being driven to show the work was compete. After flying to Houston to pick up the van, Ali walked through all the work in detail and I drove the van all the way back to Denver. It was such a relief to drive the van back all the way without issues. The engine is much more powerful and smooth compared to the previous engine too.I can't recommend Ali and Ronda Auto Parts enough. Their quality of service and care is unrivaled. I'm very glad we found their shop and was able to get our business going again
