If the lights are off… don’t bother. Once they shutter the convenience store part, the whole thing is useless. I’ve come here numerous times after hours to no avail hoping the previous time was just a fluke. You can get through the entire process up to choosing your grade and putting the pump in your car… but when you pull the trigger, nothing! What a waste of time & space.

Come for the gas, leave with a taco (#1). That's the motto for many gas stations in Houston, as well as the rest of the country where taco trucks are parked only steps away from a gas pump. Here at Border Stop, they take it up one ext a level with a full on taqueria that is inside at the convenience store, complete with drinks, seating, and more snacks. That's the kind of two-birds-one-appetite (#2) action I long for every time. The immediate advantage of having an indoor taqueria versus the truck is being able to duck out for the weather. When it's raining or is blazing hot, the option of being able to go inside and enjoy the AC while sitting down is a big plus. The other plus? The food. Prices are pretty friendly on the wallet here, with many items below $10 for combinations and between $2-3 for tacos. They serve a surprising variety of meats that range from fajita to barbacoa and chicharron (#3). I am partial to their breakfast options such as their egg + cheese taco that comes with bacon, sausage, chorizo, or potato. They also serve menudo on select days as well as carne guisada and some monster burritos supposedly. The ladies that work here are lovely. Spanish is obviously better if one speaks it but they deal with a lot of commuters who are just looking for a meal. I've only paid in cash here, but I'm fairly certain they also take credit card as well. Parking could be an issue since the gas station is so small, but most peeps can make it work. ______________ (#1) Or three. (#2) Ok, two appetites. Mine for the tacos, my car's appetite for gas. (#3) Strangely spelled "chancharron" here.

Gas pumps don't even work. I tried multiple times on different pumps and none of them worked. If you're in an emergency like I am now...don't come here

Taco Stand Inside! First off food is great! Like really good! They got regular tacos and breakfast tacos. The only reason I came to write a review though, was because I've never had this issue until today. The lady serving the food will rather serve man than a woman who is pregnant, even before I was pregnant, this happened a few times. Basically I was next in line but because I did not have a ticket she ignored me and proceeded to serve the man who did. Now normally I always get my ticket first and then get in line to order my tacos but since the last couple of times I was next in line with a ticket and the men weren't I figure "hey Im short on time I'll get in line and pay on my way out." But nope she is just straight up rude. If you are a woman prepare to have no attention when it comes to ordering your food and if your Spanish isn't the best well she will correct you a lot. Don't get me wrong I'm still gonna go but I won't put up with this type of behavior. Sorry I don't have a cock so she can serve me better.
