The sales clerks were knowledgeable and helpful, and I was glad the store had everything I needed for my painting project in one place. The initial color match using the automatic color picker was incorrect (satin white), but when I went back expecting to buy another can of paint, I was given the correct color (matte off white), and refunded the difference.

Sherwin Williams Store Manager Ms. Alma Salazar at the Montrose Blvd location was excellent in customer service, easy to speak with, knowledgable about products they sell, patient, informative, and gave me an outstanding, meaningful experience during my visit today at her store location.She has completely given me 100% confidence that my order will be exactly what I have requested to be made.Tremendously recommend the Sherwin Williams location, for it is very rare to be entreated courteous and given attentiveness when going to business locations as most people are rude and impatient with customers all day long.But, this is not the case for this company and location.Also, the Sherwin Williams University Blvd location was instrumental in helping me in December as the two sales agents that assisted me were very courteous to me, for I went to their location about 15 minutes before they closed...Therefore, I highly recommend consumer patronage at these two locations...

Many months ago I went into this location and requested for a sample size of the cheapest black. The woman who was behind the desk asked me what was it for, interior/exterior... yadda... I repeated again to her... none of that applies to my project. Just a sample of the cheapest black. (The project has a lifespan of a month or so so cheapest is just easier since it'll never reach its potential lifespan). And with such attitude she made a huge fuss and caused a scene. Again I reminded her cheapest is the only information she needs to know on what type of paint to provide. She continued to flap her big mouth so I left to the other location in Eastdown town. I say "sample of cheapest black" and within seconds I was provided with what I requested. I go in there today. I ask "I need a bright orange the color of Garfield, are you able to find this on your computer? Again, she makes a big fuss of bullshit that I did not ask for. I now tell her that I don't want to deal with her attitude so I leave. I go Eastdowntown location.... Done. Color was granted. All this lady at the Montrose had to do was google "what's the color code for bright orange for sherwin Williams" and there it was. Easy as pie so im getting to understand that this lady is just unreliable and lazy. It does work like that. While the staff receives 5 stars, this miserable human being deserves a demotion because she decides to be hardheaded and arrogant. Not cool at all.

I came as a paint newb and left wiser (but still a lot left to learn!!) I've really enjoyed working with all the folks here - Andreas is my favorite, and I've also worked with Daniel quite a bit too. Andreas really made sure to get the colors right so I could touch up without repainting everything. I joke it sometimes sounds like a salon as they blow dry the freshly made batch of paint onto the samples I bring to color match. They carry different brands than Home Depot - I presume more professional ones. I got the Purdy extension pole for painting, and it works like a charm with the Purdy roller with the quick click) and rather abysmally with the Home Depot brand Wooster (that I bought because Sherwin Williams already closed for the day). Andreas said I would be treated like family and wow the employees all are able to look me up without asking for a phone number or anything by the second visit. I'm glad that they made me feel at home and are so helpful giving tips with all my painting woes and needs - it'll definitely be my go to spot in Houston!

I stopped buying from SW three years ago because their communication is an absolute nightmare. Today I was in a situation where I had to purchase SW paint. At the Montrose store they didn't have the paint I needed in Semi Gloss, but said the Durham location had it. Knowing full well that they will send you on a goose chase, I confirmed line for line that this store would have what I needed before going there. Sure enough when I get there, they say they don't have it - even more, SW doesn't even make an exterior acrylic semi.gloss product. So I call the Montrose location and a manager apologizes but says it's true: SW doesn't sell an exterior acrylic semi gloss paint. Four hours later, someone else contacts me and says the West University location sells a DTM acrylic exterior semi gloss paint, in direct contradiction with the Montrose manager, and the Durham sales associate. After a different individual spent an hour confirming that they could make a certain color in this paint, I call only to find out that SW doesn't make a base for that color in the DTM paint. Then I find out from another store, the first to ask me this after 4 sales associates, that there are two color codes for that color. All combined, I spent four hours for something that should be relatively simple, and one the very first occasion of nervously approaching SW again for reasons of past terrible communication.

I have shopped with sherwin Williams for years actually, 14 years to be precise. Bought countless gallons. I have never seen such a lack of professionalism that I witnessed just now. Today is Saturday 12:22.. Whoever you have behind that counter ansering calls has a bad attitude and anyone shopping at this store? i encourage you to go elsewhere. Furthermore I have done biz with the best in this industry and SW. I will be taking this up with your superiors. I can guarantee that. Btw her name is Francesca and she just called me back and she hung up on me that says everything about how you guys do business over there

I arrived on Sunday 10/16 at 3:15PM. That’s 45 minutes before the posted closing time. The employee was getting in his car and leaving. The sign clearly says closes at 4PM on Sundays. Won’t be returning. Either update your hours or don’t close early.
