I hired these guys to move all my "big" furniture from one house to another about 200 miles away. They were excellent! Thomas, Vanh (??) & Antonio. They showed up on time and went to work. The were very efficient with a can-do attitude. They never complained once and even offered to move things I had not put on the list. I was amazed also that Thomas could back this 36-ft trailer down my long country driveway. It was earlier this month on one of the hottest days of the year, but these guys never missed a beat. I highly recommend them.

Truck license plate #99641X2 was driving unsafely through Santa Ana, CA almost clipping a motorcycle that was turning right, but had stopped for a pedestrian to cross the intersection. To make matters worse, a bottle was thrown out of the passenger side of the truck onto a gravel area of the sidewalk on Poinsettia St. approaching 6th street. Irresponsible, bullish driving and handling of trash!

I am a property manager and as a courtesy, we let movers use our back gate. If they block a resident, they have to stop and let them out. The crew that was here today were rude and made a resident wait. I was shocked to see the guys response, very disrespectful. If they come again, they get to walk around the building to the street.

I will recommend this company to anyone who needs to move. We have always used movers when needed and we were worried that since they charge by the hour, they would take their time. But that was not the case. They were quick, efficient and careful. They even assembled the furniture when needed. I can't say enough good things about them. AND it was affordable and they didn't try and surprise us with hidden charges. I'm only giving 5 stars because I don't have the option of giving more. Love love love them.

First, let me say that the crew was really great. Hard workers, respectful & careful. The problem is with the owner of this company (Adam)! Make sure you settle any outstanding issue, such as broken or damaged items. He'll take your money; take your damaged items to "fix and return them"......and you'll never hear from him or his company again! I've called and emailed, and left messages with his staff, for almost three months....NOTHING back! I now have a 42" Plasma TV that's unusable because they cook the stand to repair (among other things). Can't hang where we need it; so there it sits....propped up against the wall, unusable. I gave him plenty of chances and warned him that I'd write a negative review! Additionally, Adam personally came to estimate our move; and then the day of the move, we ran out of space on the 2-trucks he sent. Took another entire day, and then he tried to charge me the full day "truck charge" for the third truck, which would not have been necessary if he'd have sent the two large trucks necessary on the first day. This was a relatively expensive move, well over $4,000; you'd think he'd care enough to follow-up!

Get away from this company if you can! I wish I could gave them 0 stars!
Positives: The price is reasonable. I found a deal from Angie's list which are around 170 dollars for 2 crew 2 hours. It's a good rate from what I've found. Crews are friendly although they were not on time.
Cons: Poor on-time performance and WORST customer service!
I reserved time between a 2 pm to 6 pm window. I wanted them to arrive between 3-5 but this was the only option available online. On the moving day, I received a call from them at 11:30 saying they would come now. I told them that I reserved from 2:6 and asked whether they can make it between 3-5 since that was the best time for me. They promised but it turned out that being on time is too difficult for them. They were almost late even for the original time. They barely made it before 6. The moving process is OK which I will give credit for.
OK I understand that the nature of moving, you will never know how much time you need. That was totally fine with me. But later I found that my 60' TV screen was cracked. I contacted Southland movers and let them know the situation. First was a gentleman, he asked for the picture of the TV and model number. And sadly no feedback from him anymore. I called them again 3 or 4 days later and I was told by a lady that the claim manager Adam would not come back until one and half week later. Finally Adam came back and came on the next day to take a look at the TV. The most ridiculous story happen when he came. He said it was most impossible to get that covered ONLY because it was me that put the TV in the box. He was implying that I damage the TV during packing because if the TV was cracked during moving the box would be cracked also. I don't know where that conclusion came from but from physics common sense it is not true at all. I was pissed and told him I can easily brake the TV without braking the box and I can show him and brake my new TV right now if he like. He backed up and told me it's only his guess. After that day, I never heard back from Southland Movers. I emailed twice, no respond.
Personally I am really fine whether I can get anything from them. I told my girlfriend even if I get nothing it is still ok, it was just bad luck. But the way how Adam talked to me is really unacceptable. UPDATE: from the Adam's point of view, a crack in the screen does not count as a "physical damage". And also I never heard back from him and the reply to my one star comment is the first response after his visit to my house. I believe everyone who reads this comment will know what is going on here.

I used southland movers to move me from an apartment to a storage unit. The movers very prompt and efficient. I will definitely use them again on my next move.

I used Southland movers this past Friday, and they did a very good job. They worked diligently in hot weather and handled all my things with care. I had reserved them from 8-10 in the morning and they arrived at 7:50 and started working. The only problem that I had with them was that at the end of the move, they changed the begin time from 7:50 to 7:30 so that they could charge me that extra half hour. I didn't point out the change when it happened because it wasn't enough money to start an argument over. I had tipped both of the movers $20 each and I also let one of the movers have an old dresser that I had planned on getting rid of. I am appreciative of the work they did, but when I saw that they changed the beginning time, it left a bad taste in my mouth.

We were very pleased with Southland movers and would definitely hire them again. Very careful with our things and had us moved out and in in 2 hours. Plus their prices can't be beat! I'm not sure what the other reviews are talking about with poor customer service...everyone I spoke to over the phone and in person was very polite and professional. We even had to move the date of our move at the last minute and it was no problem.

Top Notch Movers! I have used them twice and I would definitely use them again. Very professional and they even helped move my mom from Elgin to Houston. She loved them as well.
