Southmore Kiddie Kollege is truly wonderful! I've had zero complaints since my son started attending when he was just three months old. The staff has taken excellent care of him, and I'm so grateful for their dedication and love. Highly recommend!

Southmore Kiddie Kollege is a great place to send your children if you’re looking for a caring and nurturing environment. The daycare is very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I have visited this daycare since its inception.It has served the Houston community for many years and the owner, Pearl Black has always demonstrated her dedication to all of the children who have attended. My 2 grandkids attended Southmore Kiddie Kollege and the facility is Awesome. It is clean, the staff is nurturing and the kids had a host of activities to participate in. I would recommend it highly to anyone looking for a safe, nurturing environment with unique opportunities for your kids to learn and have fun sprinkled in.

My child has matured so well with help of Southmore Kiddie Kollege. Shout out to all the wonderful teachers who always have a smile for us each morning. My daughter can count up to 50 at 2 years old! I respect the staff feedback it is always reasonable to keep my child safe. The daycare does a great job providing an educational environment. Thank you

Horrible staff!!! NOT A SAFE ENVIRONMENT! The first week my children attended the day care, the bus forgot to pick my son up from school and no one called me until 5pm and I ended up picking him up myself. Staff was so nonchalant and not even apologetic. Second offense, paid for part time services for another week since I only needed 2 days and was advised that would be acceptable. Went online made the payment. Their communication amongst each other is so horrible that no one knew what was going on at any time with any thing! My son steps on the bus and the driver tells him to get off…imagine your 5 y/o being told to get off the bus that he knows takes him to meet with his sibling! I immediately called after the teacher told me what happened. I reached out to the director and After speaking to the DIRECTOR, she advised that she instructed the driver to not let him on because she “thought” that the tuition was not paid! When in fact it was and if it wasn’t, you would really put a child off the bus and not even call. That could’ve been settled once I picked him up, knowing I still had my 2y/o at the day care! I had to call and report this daycare for neglect!!! PLEASE DON’T SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE!

HORRIBLE !!! If you want your kids safe , cared for and protected this is not the place !!!!!! The management is terrible , rachet and ghetto . They have 0 accountability and professionalism when it comes to children . My son would come home several times with scratches and tell me other boys hit him , when asked the teachers didn’t see anything and they never do incident reports or tell other parents it’s just a wild zoo in there . My son also stated another child touched his private , STILL they did nothing ! The actual owner Ms.black told me in her own words “oh the teacher didn’t see it and I believe my teachers so if you don’t think we’re good enough then y’all can leave “ DISGUSTING. That same day the same child broke my son necklace and the owner instead of taking accountability or trying to investigate the situation told me oh well he shouldn’t have brought it . No apologies no we’re gonna talk to the other kid no action to protect my child and make me feel safe as a parent she actually called my sons school the next morning and unenrolled him from daycare riders (even though I was going too ) she was that pressed like we did anything wrong . The teachers etc are overwhelmed and they don’t watch the children safely . If you don’t want your child abused and assaulted I suggest you find another daycare ! They are rude !! You will regret it !!

I wanted to work for this place I received a text on my indeed to call about work for drivers position the director answer the phone with a whole live attitude and I was telling her that i received a text to call she said she don’t know why the owner didn’t talk to her about it. She have a nasty attitude I don’t even want the job anymore very unprofessional for me I have zero tolerance for that mess no ma’am !!!???

I have nothing to say but great things about Southmore Kiddie Kollege! For starters, the staff is attentive and cares for the children as if they were their own. They take their time when handling the children and also provide after school tutoring services. Additionally, it’s a diverse child care center that gives a global perspective in its teaching approaches.If you’re looking for a new child care center that truly CARES for the development of their students - Choose Southmore Kiddie Kollege!

I love Southmore Kiddie Kollege. When I moved to Houston my son was 2 years old and not really talking. And they have helped my son grown into this outspoken and talkative 3 year old. He will be going to pre-k in the fall while continuing to go to Southmore before and after school because I just love how they tend to and handle my son. The environment is clean and the energy is warm, loving and family oriented. I’ve only experienced great things with the staff and owner Mrs. Black at Southmore Kiddie Kollege.

My son has been attending Southmore since he was 1 and he's 3 now and he has learned so much. The parents are kept updated through the daycare app or by phone. The staff is so kind and understanding. I also love the fact that Mrs. Black the daycare director checks on my son when he is out sick. If anything happens she will call and notify me.

My son has been with Southmore Kiddie Kollege since he was 2 and his is now 11. They had him reading, writing and completing math problems. I love how they are attentive to his special food needs and classwork. The friendly staff and Owner Ms.Pearl Black, continue to be loving and professional with our entire family.

I love this Daycare! My daughter loves the whole staff! Her verbal and social skills have developed tremendously because of the Ms. Pearl and her staff! I have peace of mind while I’m at work, because I know my daughter is being taught and cared for!

I have known the owner Pearl Black for over 20 years. She is an experienced teacher and consummate professional. She holds several degrees in education and business. The daycare has been in the community for over 50 years. As the new owner and director, she has enhanced the facility, trained teachers and staff and provides hot lunch programs, summer camp and before/after school care with bus service. These are all benefits that are needed for an upstanding day care facility. Mrs Black has always given excellent customer care to the participating parents and students. During covid 19, She was very generous and understanding of the communities needs for care during that time. She is a phenomenal director. Congratulations to Southmore Kiddie Kollege for its recent renovations. May God continue to keep the daycare safe.

Southmore has been in the community for over 50 years. I have been here as the Director for the past 9 months. Our goal is to ensure the safety and well being of all students. Worst experience ever here own staff does not like her or agree with her program. Ages 3 and under do nothing for the entire summer but you are expected to pay high wages per week. My daughter cries and they tell me she’s the only one in the daycare crying. The owner PEARL BLACK is very unprofessional and she administered my child’s medication to close together. She kicked my children out of daycare because I confronted her about the medicine being given to close together. There has been a lot of things wrong with this daycare from there day BLACK stepped foot in that building. I wouldn’t recommend this to anybody. I regret my children bring under her care at all.
