Stampede has potential, but some things really miss the mark. For a place that markets itself as a country bar, the downstairs DJ seems to be in his own world. He refuses to take song requests (even though we’re told we’re allowed to), and instead plays club music not country despite there being an actual club section upstairs. It makes no sense.
My sister even mentioned that when she tried to suggest songs, the DJ seemed irritated. But no one would need to suggest anything if he just read the room. When the dance floor is empty, maybe the problem isn’t the crowd it’s the music. More line dances would totally fix that, since that’s what people come for. And ending the night with slow dance songs, while not the worst thing, feels like a letdown after a night of two-stepping.
Bottom line: decent vibe overall, but the music downstairs really brings the experience down. Do better, DJ.

My son is 18 and came from out of town and wanted to go out and have fun. He chose this place and when he came out to head home his truck was stolen. The police said NONE OF THE CAMERAS WORK in the parking lot. Why wouldn't you have cameras at a place like this?

the rating is due to the bouncers. they are very hostile and aggressive. they will tell you about a dress code that isn’t posted anywhere. which in houston it is now an ordinance for clubs to follow. you can not force a dress code that is not posted clearly on the front entrance.

Just wondering when it became okay for employees to record clientele. My friends and I regularly come here. Last Friday my friend had an incident in the restroom where we had to be escorted out which is no problem. The problem was in which the employees went about it. We didn’t resist to them escorting us out because it was understandable. But the problem was the employees were LAUGHING and POINTING at us before we left the building. It wasn’t until we were in the parking lot they decided to really antagonize us (the woman who escorted us was recording us with her coworkers ).We tried asking for their names and they were yelling saying they didn’t need to tell us ANTAGONIZING us even the security guard by the name temple was VERY RESPECTFUL and even told his other security guard that was trying to calm my friend and I down. Told him to fall back because those DISRESPECTFUL and UNPROFESSIONAL employees were ANTAGONIZING us. Those women need to be fired or corrected in how to go about escorting people with respect. Tried calling to talk to the manager and to no ones surprise they didn’t answer. Would love to have a refund if possible because my friends and I very unhappy with our unpleasant night out.

Bad costumer service ,friends and I ask for some water and said they didn't have any . Also very young crowd goes there .I am 40 and like there were only like maybe 4 of my age range the mayoraty were teenagers. Very disappointing and my friends i will not be coming back . Even the bull ride wasn't even working .

The manager is so rude, she was following my friends and I around, and kicked us out because one of my friends was 21 and had a drink and the rest of us were 20, claiming she saw one of us sip out of her drink. She made us wait outside the premises where we later come to find out that there was a shooting out there, so she basically put our lives in danger. She was super rude and was watching us so we would walk far enough away. Worst experience considering we had been dropped off there living an hour away and this is how we were treated only being there an hour.

This place is a full on vibe. Never ate but had drinks so can't comment on the food. The variety of things to do is great. Every part of the club has something to offer. You have to pay to get in and you don't have to be 21 to get in. You just can't drink as a result

I was literally on the front patio tonight running for my life from gun shots in the parking lot.1 person died and two others were injured. There's a parking lot shooting there every other month. They have cops on site, but still not safe at all. Last time I'm ever going there. That shit was too close.
