This was my first stay at this hotel. The lobby, elevator and eating area were clean and smelled nice. The receptionist was very polite and professional. I was on third floor which I requested and loved. When I walked into the room it did smell very odd like something soured and also like smoke. I didn’t like that. I don’t smoke and I don’t like the smell of it. The curtain was broken on one of the windows so I couldn’t open it to let light in. There was also hair in the shower. The kitchenette and living areas was clean and neat. They have everything you need if you are going to cook something and wash dishes etc. That’s a very nice touch and very convenient. The bed was clean and neat. I stayed in room 333. I did partake in the complimentary breakfast. It was fresh, hot and tasty. It included many options as well. I walked around a bit and discovered they have a gym and a laundry room. I believe both are complimentary just bring your laundry detergent. However, only 1 washer and 1 dryer were in working condition during my stay. When I checked out there was a different receptionist but she was also so polite and professional. I will be back soon.Rooms: I stayed in room 333. The room is a nice suite with a kitchenette stocked with almost everything you need.Nearby activities: City Centre is about 10 minutes away and downtown is about 20 minutes away.Walkability: You’d have to Uber, Lyft or drive yourself because this hotel is right off the freeway (which is good).Food & drinks: Breakfast is complimentary.

This is an excellent hotel for the price. Conveniently located and with ample amenities, it's a great option for all kinds of travelers. One of the highlights of the Staybridge is that all the spaces are suites, and come equipped with a basic kitchen. This means full fridge/freezer, two-burner stovetop, basic utensils, even a dishwasher. This is GREAT to be able to fend for yourself. But there's a lot more included - there's a hot buffet breakfast every morning, included in the room price, and a "reception" Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings, which is good enough to be your dinner. Free gym, free laundry facilities on site. Free parking. Free wifi. A lovely outdoor hangout space with a pool, fire table, comfy seats, etc. Really very very good.A few downsides: We couldn't hear other patrons through the walls, but we could through the floor/ceiling, and we were unlucky enough to be under a person who really stomped around at odd hours. Don't be that person, folks, it woke us up multiple times as early as 3:30am. Then another night, a large group came in and hung out in the courtyard talking at the top of their lungs - until after 3am. For real?! The hotel advertises quiet hours between 10pm and 6am but no one enforced this so it was loud and we couldn't sleep. If you don't catch your door when it's closing, it really SLAMS. I'm sure this is for fire code reasons, but other patrons being inconsiderate on this score too also meant we heard a lot of banging at certain times. We only requested that the room be made up once in a weeklong stay, and the attention was a little sketchy - they didn't empty the trash, didn't replenish the dish soap or toilet paper, and the cleaning products they used were really strongly scented. Some attention to that would be good. But on the whole - we're Staybridge converts! Will definitely use this chain again and recommend it.

The hotel is charging a security deposit without explanation and then being rude when I tell her that it’s fine but just tell me in the process. They apparently have a sign that states $100 deposit, but they charged me $50. It did not add up for me, but then the receptionist was just unfriendly about it. Then I went to my room and unpacked. I had to work for little while, when I wanted to use the bathroom none of the lights in the bathroom were working. I called the front desk, and the same lady just told me "You have to come to the front desk and I'll give you another room". No apologies for the issue or inconvenience on my side. She gave me another room and 'of course' it was right next to the elevator. (Something that I have my profile to avoid). Room wasn't clean, the bathroom could have used more attention. AC was rattling loud. But I did not wanted to complain about it, given the unpleasant encounters so far withe front desk. Wanted to watch some TV and guess what? No remote.Called the front desk again and the similar lapidary answer. 'We don't have spares, but you can come down and get the one from the breakfast area. Again, no apologies, offering to bring it upstairs, no nothing. Very disappointing.Next day breakfast was good and the area was well maintained by the lady that worked that morning there.Overall, probably not coming back - Given the choices in Houston... They should do better.

Very clean and quiet. Wonderful breakfast selection. Easy access to beltway 8, I-10, and Hwy 290. Only 4 stars given because their curtains need to be replaced.

The night auditor is awesome!! He was very nice and was very helpful giving me towels when I ran out. He was excellent. The manager was kinda rude and acted weird about the deposit when we extended our stay. For some reason they keep trying to charge my card weeks after check out. They have clean rooms, delicious breakfast, and the pool area is perfect for kicking back. The hot tub jacuzzi works. You can also use the patio area with the grill to barbeque. The house keeping is also on point.?

Two stars for the property itself. It's older and somewhat well-maintained, but not the cleanest. Vents in the room have severe dust and grime build-up, there's soap scum in the shower, and the carpets feel grimey. Here are the pros (which added one more star): rooms are quiet; the hotel offers a free dinner Mon-Weds which is not bad at all; the daily breakfast has a variety of hot foods, yogurt, cottage cheese, muffins, fresh fruit, bagels, toast, and a waffle machine; and staff are friendly.Cons: older property showing its age for sure, beds are not the most comfortable, and I'm pretty sure there are allergens galore in the rooms. I woke up after the first night with itchy eyes, nose, and throat.Bottom line: I wouldn't stay here again, but if you don't have a lot of other options, this isn't the worst place you could stay.

I thought this hotel was great! They must've remodeled recently as our room was in great shape. I will stay here again when visiting Houston.

Very nice clean hotel rooms with large fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. I had a brief stay so I didn’t touch any of these items or the tv. The bathroom was very clean and plenty of towels. Very comfortable beds and ice cold air conditioning! Only really downside was location was pretty out of the way. Other than that great stay. Decent breakfast slightly above usual, but not much.

Very nice place. Huge rooms and service was excellent. Dinner included 3 days a week and breakfast every day. The pantry was kind of lacking and the location isn't within walking distance of anything. Still, the shuttle driver was very friendly and accommodating. Free alcohol at night

Unsanitary fitness room. No towels, water, or cleaning supplies for equipment after use. It was very difficult to get clean towels for room. None there when we checked in. Breakfast was good but they ran out of milk our first day still didn't have any next morning. Observed several people throw away food because of this. No sign put up informing people of this the entire time I was eating.

Wonderful experience here at the hotel. The breakfast was great with empanadas. I would have to say Eric made my stay /experience to the whole new level. He was very tentative to provide hot breakfast. Very efficient on cleaning and refilling the food. This guy deserves a raise for sure.
