I was just aware that this well known restaurant (previously Tien An) is back! It was closed during pandemic and I missed it so much. I love everything here, from the drinks to the egg rolls to the vermicelli and, of course, the pho!

Very clean and down to earth and Not overly hip or trendy with decor. Pho was great and my new-to-Viet-food friend loved it. Waiter left me alone mostly the way I like, and I felt very welcomed and cared for with the interactions. Menu is short and sweet also, no fru fru or 100 items.

I hate to only give them three stars but the food was subpar. Our waiter was probably the son of the owner. My parents ordered chicken spring rolls and banh mi. They said the chicken meat was really tough. I ordered my tofu banh mi light on the mayo. It came with none. It was tasteless. The waiter just said, "I told them light on the mayo." My Dad liked his green tea with strawberry and I the passion fruit one. I asked the waiter what the Vietnamese families order there. He said the pho. If you pay cash, you save 3 percent. The young waiter needs to be trained on how to reply to customers. He could have offered to bring me some Vietnamese mayo.

My family and I have eaten lunch and dinner here for over 15 years. We lived in Houston 11 years ago and we ate here on regular basis. The staff knows what we will order already The food here is always fresh from the grilled pork summer rolls down to the shrimp and beef pho. We now live in San Antonio, Texas but still are faithful customers when we visit Houston and that's pretty often :) You must try you will get hooked !!!

I used to order here when they were Thien An. This place went down the hill. They lost all of specialties like bun rieu, banh cuon, crispy eggroll, etc. Food quality and taste was bad. The eggrolls were probably stored in freezer a long time before they defrosted and fried. The meat was mushy. My com tam wasn't good either. The beef was burned that's inedible. Cucumber and tomato slices were sitting in fridge for a while I guess. My husband had beef banh mi. It's so salty. Everything we ordered today was terrible. The husband and I agreed not to order here ever again. The 2 stars is for the girl who took my call. She's nice and efficient.

I've been coming to this restaurant since it was Thien An, and the quality is still good! I have not noticed any negative change with the change of ownership. My favorite things to get: the Vietnamese egg rolls, the pho tai, and the vermicelli bowl with grilled pork and an egg roll. Also, their grilled pork banh mi is delicious!I will say that if I had a complaint, it would be that the hours don't seem to be consistent, though that may have only been a problem under the previous management. We'll see if that's still the case over the next few months.

They have a couple vegetarian options. Their vermicelli bowls were very good.I went during lunch and they took significantly longer to bring my bowl after my coworkers were served. I had to take half of my order to go.Pretty good menu. Sandwiches are sold at a good price.

I used to come here all the time before they changed owners, and before they changed their name from Thien An. I happened to be in town again and decided to come here for lunch because I had been craving their food for awhile. All three of us ordered pho, and an appetizer of egg rolls for the table. We were disappointed to find out that their recipes have changed. The egg rolls no longer had their golden crispy wrapper, and the broth was not as refreshing -- the richness made it harder to enjoy towards the end of my meal. While the food was still tasty, it lost it's unique charm. I feel that I can get similar quality and taste anywhere. I used to make the drive to eat here but I no longer see the need.Overall, it's still a solid Vietnamese restaurant. Just not as great as before the change.

New owners and name change. Much cleaner and simple menu which means they're choosing quality over quantity to me. Sometimes Vietnamese restaurants try to have everything under the sun but produce mediocre dishes. I ordered the pho tai bo Vien and bo luc lac. Both were very good. To my surprise, the tai was filet mignon instead of round eye. I highly recommend.

Love this place so much but please bring your Bún riêu back! I really enjoyed it but you changed your menu and removed it. Everything here is amazing.

My review is only for the phở đặc biệt (House special beef noodle). Meat portion is pathetically meager (meager for both cheap beef cut and $$ beef cut). Bò viên (meatball) only 1 meat ball that is chopped up into 4 pieces. Broth (most important for any phở connoisseur) is blend with practically no beef (bone) flavor and no essence of phở. The verdict: I "mught" return for other menu items but I will not return for phở.
