My car was hit and I called many places that tried to charge me an arm and a leg to fix it. Mike was very helpful and charged me a reasonable price and got the job done. I’ll be going to him for all my car needs moving forward. Great business and great staff too. They’re amazing.

Mike’s U-Haul and Tire Shop – Where Fear Meets Functionality
If you’ve ever wondered what it would feel like to get your motorcycle fixed and possibly cast in the next Fast & Furious spin-off at the same time—look no further than Mike’s U-Haul and Tire Shop.
Stranded with a busted valve stem on my motorcycle, I did what any sane person in Southwest Houston would do: I Googled “tire shops near me” and said a small prayer. Up comes Mike’s. Now, I’m not saying the neighborhood is sketchy, but let’s just say even the pigeons fly in groups for protection.
The owner, Joe, is exactly the kind of man you want fixing your bike and also interrogating people in a Netflix crime documentary. He’s a big dude, with a beard that could hide small tools and a voice that sounds like a Harley idling in a cave. When he talks, your spine listens.
Bonus ambiance: there are pit bulls chilling in the back like they’re guarding the last set of 20-inch rims on Earth. They didn’t bark or growl—they just judged me. Respectfully.
Despite all that, these guys got me back on the road in no time. No fuss, no upcharge, just pure, gritty Houston hospitality. It’s the kind of place where you hand over your keys and half expect to come back to your bike fixed and with a fresh tattoo.
Would I recommend? Absolutely. Especially if you like your customer service with a side of adrenaline.

I rented an appliance dolly to move a freezer. My helper had to leave early and couldn't come back the next day because of the storms in Houston. I attempted to return the dolly that was told to hold on to it as long as needed, at no additional charge. Kudos to Mike's U-Haul!

Do NOT rent from here!!!! They charge triple and STEAL YOUR MONEY!!! If I could give this place Negative stars I WOULD! They STEAL YOUR MONEY!!! I reserved a 10 footer for my move this weekend and when I arrived, no one was there. I sat there for over 5 min before calling towards the back. I called out for almost 3 minutes and a young man finally appeared as if we had just awaken him out of his sleep. A few seconds an older lady came to the front and informed us the truck we reserved wasn’t available. I immediately felt uneasy. She then said she would call U-Haul and after almost 10 minutes of waiting, she said she would allow us to take her 10 footer in the lot. She said she had a reservation on it in 48 hours but she would allow us to take it which was strange to me because I only needed it for about 8-10 hours. The truck was at 3 quarter tank before I took it. I only drove 8 miles with the truck. Nevertheless, I put about $10 of gas in the truck before I returned it because I did not want to risk being charged for the gas later. Boy was I wrong. I brought the gas back at over 3 quarters tank, and woke up to an extra $100 charge. The lady originally said I was charged because I did not return the dollies, which was not true. I returned all the dollies, then she mentioned that I took the 15 footer and it did not have any gas. That was not true, I took the 10 footer, and it surely had more than enough gas. The lady was very adamant about charging me extra for returning the truck on EMPTY when I know I had not. I even took videos and have my receipts from the gas station. She told me to take it up with corporate because there was nothing she could do. 8 miles does not empty a truck from 3 quarters full. Even if it was a mistake she should not have been so dismissive and rude. This only made me feel like she overcharged me on purpose and did not care. I reported this U-Haul dealer to UHAUL Corporate, they were very understanding and agreed that the charges did not match the report. They have refunded my charges but, I will NEVER rent form this place again!!! NEVER!!! NEVER!!!!

I have been dealing with this same Uhaul shop for 30 years bit have never been Treated so great ! Excelent Customer Service, attemptivness, provided by Connie who took care of me like one if the family. Thank you Uhaul, & thank you Connie.

THIS PLACE ONLY STEAL YOUR MONEY MY HUSBAND TOOK HIS CAR HE HAS A OIL LEAK THEY CHARGE HIM $850.00 THE CAR WAS ONLY GOOD CONDITION FOR 2 DAYS NOW THEY TELLING HIM ITS SOMETHING ELSE WHY DIDNT YOU TELL HIM WHEN HE TOOK IT THE FIRST TIME TO FIX THEY CHARGING HIM $2,500 THIS PLACE JUST STEAL PEOPLE MONEY DONT FIX ANYTHING RIP OFF I HOPE KARMA COME BACK TO YALL

I got my tires replaced here 2 weeks ago, I’m very disappointed. You don’t replace anything in customer’s car without asking. First of all they replaced them with completely damaged tires. I will include the picture. Why will I pay $44 for a completely ruined tire when the new one cost $78 at Walmart? I asked for one tire in the front. They replaced 2 used tires and charged me $88. The back tire they replaced without even asking me, I bought that tire from their shop just few months ago. Secondly they replaced my tire with the wrong size. I show the size that I was looking for to the guy 205/65/16 I asked for that exact size. They replaced my tires with one 215/65/16 and one 205/65/16 two different sizes. You put two damaged tires on my car, now I have to replace them. Look at the picture of the tire you just installed on my car, I’m sure you’ll not install a tire like that on your own car.

Quick and great customer service. Our first time renting a uhaul, Joe helped us out and made sure we were well and ready for our move. We really appreciate the friendly service.Update -3 and a half years later we used Mike's U-Haul to move out from our apartment.Again absolutely wonderful experience. Staff is awesome and accommodating. Definitely recommend
