Bait & Switch second time I made a reservation. Went to pick my truck up and they did not have it. Tried to switch me to a smaller truck. The lady there was rude and totally lacking empathy. I need a particular size truck and my plans were ruined TWICE!!!!

Looking at these reviews, I'm not sure they are indicative of the current employees that work here. I had a move on 3/9/24, and needed to rent a truck for a few hours. Every time I have worked with U-Haul and problems arose, I have experienced employees who could care less about the problem, and therefore not look for solutions. Not this time. The General Manager Emmanuel Butts was very accommodating, and friendly. This is by far my best experience with U-Haul, if I need anything in the future I will be going back to this exact location. All the employees I dealt with, or spoke to- had a positive attitude and were willing to help.

Waited for over 30 minutes for a propane refill then the general manager said I was being rude for asking him if he had anybody else working and asked me to go somewhere else. This is by far the worst customer experience I have ever experienced

Scheduled a hitch install for Thursday at 9:00. Thursday at 7:00 I got a text confirming the install for 9:45 on Friday. (Couldn't work, I had to go out of town.) When I called to clarify the guy muttered something and then hung up on me. Called back, put on hold indefinitely. I will not use this company again.

We made an online reservation for a 15ft truck for moving since this was the closest UHaul to us. I didnt really have any expectations in all honesty. Wen we got there though there was no where to park. Limited area. We parked next to a car that was in front of a storage unit. Initially the plan was for my sister to drive the truck and I drive our car cause moving and we could use two vehicles. We went into the store to pick it up and they were already helping customers. There was a slight wait, but the line did move. Finally it was our turn and Emmanuel helped us. I was a bit worried too because it seemed like he was helping us then he was helping the people behind us (they bought moving supplies, I think the computer was loading w/ our info). In hindsight now, Emmanuel is just super competent and I can respect that. We did have some paperwork to do but mostly digital and we got our truck. We also asked for a utility dolly. He was super helpful and brought out the dolly to the truck on his own accord. He also helped someone with their rear view mirrors as they were leaving with the truck. Emmanuel is extremely knowledgeable and gave us a rundown of how to work the vehicle. I had mentioned earlier about not having anywhere to park, and now in the truck my sister decided maybe we should just take the truck so he managed to find a place for parking my car. NOTE - Emmanuel did mention no parking in front of the storage units otherwise it may get towed so regardless he was going to find a spot for us to park our car, even though initially, I had thought it was only temporary. We left our car there overnight (some issues with finding a place to park the UHaul to unload to our new place), and it was safe. The Uhaul truck was very clean and a bit older but in good shape. It was kind of daunting but having another person in the truck did help w/ signaling and going places. Definitely felt that w/ Houston driving, people are good about going around you. Unfortunately, we did have to extend the return time through the app and although it was no hassle - pretty straightforward. Once we finished unloading, we gassed up returned the truck, by parking it behind their cleaning station. They did ask for the keys at that point out there and I gave it to them. I also just let Emmanuel know. He's a pretty cool dude, very chill and friendly. Conversation came easy and I felt reassured. Definitely would be up for using this UHaul location again. Probably once we move. :D

TL;DR the trailer hitch installation appointment I booked 2+ weeks in advance was rescheduled multiple times, and we then had to take the car in four separate times to get the hitch and wiring installed correctly.This is my first google review, but I had such a bad experience I wanted to share. I booked an appointment for a trailer hitch installation online 16 days in advance. The appointment got rescheduled FOUR times, and when I finally drive up there I get told I will need to come back the next day too, because the technician only has time to install the hitch, but not do the wiring. I have to work the next day so my wife drives up, and gets told that the wiring we ordered is not correct (I made the reservation online where it auto-selects the equipment based on the make, model, and year of your car). so they will need to re-order overnight and will contact us once they receive the correct wiring. We don't hear back all week so I call on Saturday and speak to the assistant manager who says he will check and get right back to me. I don't receive any call back, so call again on Saturday and speak to the GM who says to come again on Monday. We take to car back and complete the installation. That Thursday I go to pick up the U-haul trailer from a different location, only for them to tell us that the wiring was not installed correctly and its not safe to drive. I then have to go back again the next morning for a 4th time to finally get the trailer hitch installed the day we were moving out of town. Terrible experience from start to finish.

I went into this Uhaul to purchase wardrobe and other small boxes. I received excellent help and advice from Emmanual and Josh. they answered all my questions and even helped me load the boxes I purchased into my car. They provided excellent customer service and I will definitely return to this location the next time I need any moving supplies.
