Came here with my son to take the passport pictures. A man with gray long hair in a ponytail FAILED to provide the needed service.
He took my picture, and I asked him to show it to me (passport pictures cannot be just whatever, because then you CANNOT get your passport), he did. Then it was my son’s turn.
The guy flashed the camera at my son, without saying: ready, look here… NOTHING!
I asked him, hey can I see that picture? No response. I asked again and he was in la-la-land. I raised my voice and asked again, to which he replied, wait a minute it’s printing.
I said, you’re gonna retake that picture because I know it was not right, and you did not showed it to me when I asked. He had THE NERVE TO SAY: you did not ask 😵💫🤦🏼♀️
I said, Sir, I ASKED YOU twice, before I had to raise my voice (there was no noise at the store, nor was he wearing headphones, nor was he hard of hearing), and he blatantly said, oh well I didn’t hear you.
Well, my son’s passport picture was NOT right! His eyes were closed! I said, you’re gonna need to retake his because it’s clearly stipulated for PSSPRT requirements that the person’s eyes ned to be OPENED! He said, no, this picture it’s fine, I do this all the time 😖😵💫
I said, are you serious? So you’re telling me that they pay TWICE for the service? He said, well if they want two, then yes. I said, no, you don’t know what you’re doing and people are paying for it twice.
He INSISTED that the picture was fine. He CHARGED me for it even when I told him to retake it, to which he replied, I will charge you for it. I paid for my son’s picture, and next day, I went to USPS.
GUEEEEEEEEEEESS what the 3 people at the register said? Yes ALL 3, that picture is not of good quality AND he has his eyes closed 😵💫
They checked mine and said hmm, this one is ok, they will be ok with this one. So yes, I HAD to pay for it again!
Do NOT! I repeat, DO NOOOT TAKE YOUR PSSPRT pics here.
Even the OTHER UPS stores in the area say that a lot of customers ALWAYS go elsewhere, because how HORRIBLE the service is at this location!!!

Somebody give Matthias a raise! He's helped me more times than I can count and is extremely competent at his job and goes over the top to help customers. He even written down my cellphone number to give me a callback when I had an issue but was in a hurry, and he called back and we figured it out! Always quick and easy at this store! Unfortunately I can't say the same for UPS as a whole though...

I have been frequenting this UPS Store for as long as I've been living in this area since 2006. Hatim and his family have always run it as a first class operation. They knew their customers names, smiled, and provided excellent service. I'm not sure if the business sold, but the level of customer service and friendliness has dropped tremendously in the last year or two. It's like they're putting up with their customers now - we are lucky to be there, and they're doing us a favor. There's never a smile or eye contact, we're expected to know their business as well as they do, and you get barked at if you don't know when a box is necessary, or where to affix a label, and by all means, if you bring a box and one isn't needed, you're gonna hear about it in a very unprofessional manner. And, if you happen to leave the box in the store, you will get publicly chastised with loud voices in front of the other customers. It's the complete opposite of how Hatim and family ran this store for years. I always looked forward to seeing them and saying hello, but now I almost dread that it's the only UPS Store that nearby and convenient. Hopefully, they'll train me to be a good customer within the next 30-40 visits.

I do not recommend this place due to very poor customer service.
The morning staff act as if helping customers is a burden. The service is slow, with no engagement or courtesy plus they charge to tape. Definitely worth going elsewhere.

No customer service skills whatsoever. Girl with bushy hair and glasses never knows what’s going on and couldn’t do something as simple as print a document. Went back in a couple months later March 11, 2025 and the same girl refused to take my package because I didn’t pack it but another gentlemen happily helped me and let me know how they could accommodate me. I had no idea what to pack it in and she just refused to be of any assistance per usual.
On another instance I went in 1/28/2025 at 8:30am to have a passport form printed, first off the staff didn’t show up until 10 min after then the woman had no computer skills and I had to show her how to print the form and she was very rude and nasty.

Very unprofessional workers singing rap songs and cussing while the girl working at the counter was playing on a gaming system and couldn’t pay attention to get my order right three times. The whole place wreaks of pot. I’ll be finding a new mailing store.

One of the worst experiences ever. The staff and manager have no clue how to provide customer service. This place was horrible and does not deserve your business make the drive to Eldridge. Avoid this location.

Update since being taken over by new management this has become one of the most convenient and fast servicing UPS stores in my area. Customer services I polite and they work to move things along.

Really kind and helpful staff but I can’t stand places that close 20 minutes before they say they will. Showed up at 4:40 and they were closed instead of 5 pm.

I am not renewing my P.O. Box because of very unsatisfactory customer care. Every holiday the doors are barred shut, and they cannot accept packages and the delivery companies leave packages outside the front door of the business and. What really hurt me and my client was they would not accept a large package of mine Even after the delivery driver told them he would take it off the pallet. i’ve had a set of tires delivered here before no problem , but this female manager said that the delivery driver could set it outside the door and they were not responsible for it. I told the manager I would not be renewing my mailbox again and the reason why and her condescending remark was “that’s fine” she was not even apologetic ? the decision was made because of the inconvenience they caused me . This PO Box is very overpriced for this area and is another factor . I have been a five year boxholder with this business, but no longer , I am researching others at the moment that are closer to my residence in the Heights. I would usually come once a week to check my mail, and then eat at Elm Café and go to. Amaya coffee or the nice Italian café at the end. I would always easily drop a good chunk of change for their meals $50 and up , well it’s sad to say that this one customer won’t be coming back to this area. I have so many nice places here in the Heights.

I walked in about 20 minutes before they closed. I had a pleasant experience at this location with my Amazon returns. The young lady who helped me was so kind and patient with my four large returns and had a smile on her face the whole time.

I seriously think this is the best UPS store in all of Houston. I always get great customer service and the staff is always kind﮼ understanding﮼ and patient. I highly recommend this place!
