This Post Office is its own little one-building patch of urban blight on Houston. Weeds are growing everywhere, and they don't mow the grass. The parking lot is in absolute disrepair, and the front door is broken. Aside from permitting access to the mailboxes, it has been "temporarily" closed for months. On top of being forced to suffer their general incompetence and being made to feel like I'm walking into an abandoned building to check the mail, they've had the gall to significantly raise PO Box rates.Just think—for hundreds of dollars a year, you too can be made to walk into this eyesore, fight with the door, inhale the mold and mildew of neglect, and hope your letters actually make it to your mailbox. If you're crazy enough to get a PO Box here, make sure you don't put it on a letterhead or a business card.

They make you wait in line to tell you they do not offer services that the paper on their door clearly says they offer.

I’m starting to think that these people are stealing my packages and it sad because I had to argue a lady down about my nieces prom shoes she told me they wasn’t there multiple times and after I informed her I worked for the usps for 4 and a half years and threatened to report them she brought them out. Meanwhile I’m sitting here waiting on my packages today that says out for delivery and it’s has yet to make it to me even tho the mail truck came already and no notice was left.they definitely sole my package because they marked it return to sender I will be making a report this office is full of thief’s

USPS claims they delivered a package to my home, and the package never arrived, most likely stolen by the USPS employee as my mailbox and Front Door has security cameras USPS never delivered the package filing a claim, and a claim on my credit card, and filing a complaint with the USPS. The United States government constantly fails that whatever they do this is ridiculous Packages. Whenever they’re delivered by USPS.

Can y’all please stop marking people’s (NOT FULL) mailboxes as vacant units that should no longer receive mail just because they go unchecked for a few weeks? I know when I’m expecting mail, I have informed delivery through the USPS, and so sometimes I go without checking it for weeks at a time. I have a card in my box that indicates to only deliver mail for myself or my landlord, so there’s no reason for it to ever get full, which it hasn’t since I cleared up that I don’t need mail for everyone who has ever lived in my unit! I just checked my mailbox because I knew it should contain 2 small gifts I ordered recently, my new debit card, and my car’s new registration sticker. Instead, I got an unofficial “VACANT” slip left in my mailbox. The 2 gifts I have ordered a couple weeks ago were there, but no debit card or registration sticker, both of which were to be delivered this week. It is soo frustrating and such an inconvenience, not to mention could get me stuck with a ticket re: the registration sticker. Please STOP doing this, especially when the mailbox isn’t even close to being full. Now, it’s Friday evening and I won’t even be able to contact anyone about this until Monday. Seriously just making life harder on people who are already struggling, please stop this practice.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. We requested one day delivery of samples from our lab and these incompetent workers at USPS did not know how to access the building. If you ever wonder why diseases are not cured its because of people like that. Months of work was thrown away because they took 4 DAYS for our samples that were labeled to have dry ice to arrive at their location, so the samples were wasted by then. Terrible experience we even called the manager and he assured me delivery by the second day and he was a liar as he did not do that at all after calling him TWICE and him saying he will do it. i hope FedEx or some other company takes you out of business.

Always been an ok post office. Then they started removing conveniences like drop boxes. Went today and it’s temporarily closed with no reopen date and the window is boarded up

My experience with the USPS office on Almeda Rd in Houston was not good. Even though my package was stuck during delivery for more than a week, asking for help from that USPS office didn't give me useful answers. The help they gave was not unique and they didn't seem interested in really looking into the problem or assisting me. They said the same things over and over again when they talked to me on the phone, and their attitude was impolite.Because of this, I decided to contact another USPS office where the package was sent from. The people there were more helpful and took action quickly. They checked the problem and found out that the package was damaged within a day. They suggested that I ask about the missing things with a special search. This second time I talked to USPS showed that their service quality is not the same everywhere. Some offices are good at helping, but not all of them. USPS needs to work on making their communication better, looking into problems properly, and overall improving how they help customers.

The staff are nice but I am disappointed that they removed the self serve kiosk. That really helped to mail things after hours. Now I have to rush after work to get in here by 5pm. As long as you inside their door before 5 even if there is a line. They will tell you they are closed at 5pm and to come back.

The best post office experience I've had in a long time. The women working behind the desk today were so pleasant and professional. I really appreciated how helpful they were with each person.

The US post office at Texas Medical Center has some significant shortcomings that make it difficult for customers to access their services. Firstly, the facilities are quite old and have not been adequately maintained, which creates a rather uninviting environment for customers. Additionally, the post office lacks blue box deposit bins, making it more challenging to drop off mail conveniently. The inside of the post office also needs significant improvement. It may be poorly lit and dirty, making it an unpleasant experience for customers who need to conduct their business there. Additionally, there is a lack of parking, which can be a significant inconvenience for those who need to access the post office.Perhaps most concerning, however, is the lack of safety that customers may feel when visiting the post office. This can be a significant issue, especially for those who need to conduct business alone or during odd hours. Overall, while the US post office at Texas Medical Center may provide necessary services, it may require significant improvements to meet the needs of its customers adequately.
