I don’t like leaving negative reviews but Nassau Bay Post Office has earned it. They are disorganized, lazy and mismanaged. I have used this post office for over 10 years and it has consistently gone down hill. I can remember two employees that did a decent job but the people they have in there now don’t even do the minimum. I went in there today and they were out of stamps. How can you run a post office and run out of stamps?
The inside is a mess, not sure the last time it was swept. Everything is in disarray inside. Not to mention the eyesore that the outside is, it looks like it hasn’t been updated since 1960’s. Plus you cannot use the dropbox across the street because (they say) of vandalism.

No one ever has anything good to say about post offices in general so thought I’d share that the chill guy working the desk (Perez on his name badge) was helpful, kind, and gives off great vibes. 🤙

VERY RUDE lady with blonde braids made me wait (after I rang the bell and she said I’ll be there in a minute) while she told personal stories about her weekend to a coworker in the back, when she finished her story and eventually made her way to the front I was told I couldn’t add postage to a package that I had a label on already, even though I sell on eBay all the time and do this for many of my shipped items, weekly. She kept telling me she had worked there 10 years and she knows how to do her job. Then she told me I WAS RUDE and walked to the back again after I told her I do this all the time. Then also screamed “don’t ever come back”. While I was checking my PO Box on the way out I heard her talking very rudely and loud to her coworkers about me so I told her I could hear her. At which point she cussed at me more and told me “good, I don’t care who hears what I have to say, I’m gonna say it!” Possibly the most unprofessional experience I’ve ever had in my life. I went to the Dickinson post office directly after and they knew how to do their job.

Can you believe I sent a package from PR priority mail. First they said that they couldn't access the location.I contact the recipient he went personally to the post office 4 days ago and pick up the package and they still had the tracking the same incredible

Post office opens up at 8:30. It’s 9:30 AM and not a single employee is there the office is still locked with signs posted everywhere showing that they’re open at 8:30. Get your business together.

I placed my mail in the blue postal box outside and then it was shut down. To my understanding this was not the fault of the local office but of the usps delivery services. I did not end up getting my mail back and will be filing a claim. However this was something that I addressed 1 month ago and despite how busy this office is, they still kept in touch and kept their word to let me know the status of the mail and I really appreciate that.

The staff member said to me to wait from 4:30 to 6 I was being waiting for him in front of my mail room. He never arrived very disappointed ☹️

Multiplies this post office has not opened on time by greater than 10 minutes. Other times check out occurs when worker making personal call. Highly unprofessional.

I love the Nassau Bay Post office, it's a short walk from my house, the clerks are always nice no matter how busy they are.
