My favoriteplace to come and shoot. Rifles, handguns, and shotguns. Friendly staff & reasonable prices, but DO NOT be acting stupid or break firearm etiquette. They WILL yell at you, or even kick you out. Quite deservedly, too.

Unfriendly greeting as I didn't pay attention to the stop here sign when entering the parking lot. Range assigns lane but you are not able to retrieve targets. Price is right but the range not so much.

My favorite range in the Houston area. The workers are great guys. The owner (forgot his name) gave me a ride around the range and showed me some cool things they’re planning to do. Had a great conversation about AR buffer tubes haha. The mag dump area is awesome only 20$, and you can let it rip!! The ranged target area is great too. The only complaint I’d might have is the wood planks on the tables they’re pretty dinged up. Other than that a great range, they will have my business for years to come.

Nice looking range, but hard to get there. I was looking for a place to sight in a couple of rifles and do some target shooting. Looks like a nice facility. I wish the employee had proven to be nice, too. It's become a cliché that shooting range employees treat their customers with contempt. Seems to be true at the Van Gun Range, too.

I went here last Sunday. We were looking for an outdoor gun range where we could fire as many bullets as we pleased.Van Road Gun Range had just that.Their first section is where you could fire once every second or so,now the second option has what I was looking for you CAN RAPID FIRE with no problem for only 20$.They even have a pistol section with metal plates placed from 5-10 feet from you it's my first time shooting at metal plates it's pretty addictive once you start hearing the ping every time you hit the metal plates. But parking might be an Issue if you go on a busy day luckily for us there wasn't too many people the day we went.I will be coming here more often their price it's pretty good for only 20$.BUT BRING YOUR OWN FIREAMRS AND BULLETS you can't rent firearms here they will only supply you with eye and ear protection and another thing they only take CASH.

One star so everyone reading the negative reviews give it a chance and go to the 5 star reviews… Mexican as I can be they help me out hahaha… the old man as y’all call him is very helpful… my son loves shooting the steel targets with his AR-15 I love shooting my Ar-15 they never look at your guns only thing question is the type of ammo used at the steel targets as theirs little fairies that cry when hit by ricochetThey are running a business… questions regarding your experience I would say is due to safety. They are old and might come off the wrong way but I will keep going as long as don’t buy my own property ???

Old big guy had a terrible temper. He yells at the dozens of people holding of guns like kids which is kinda funny.

FUDD central here... Don't bother going if you have anything other than a bolt action rifle. They are WAY too particular about everything. 1 magazine per gun; only 5 rounds in that magazine; don't expect to shoot more than 1 round every 5 seconds or the RSO will start whining at you.

Great place to shot with variety, the staff is really great and friendly. I take all my friends there now and will continue to go. For the staff sorry the hummer can’t be used for shooting practice….

All I did was stop by and ask for prices I don't know if I offended the fudd at the counter but I guess he doesn't like HK's was told in a very rude tone that it would be $45 to shoot my gun in the 25yrd range I'd rather pay the $25 at an indoor range.

TL;DR: I was told to shoot in one spot by an employee at the window. Was later CUSSED OUT and called a liar by the supposed owner for shooting in the wrong spot despite it being the exact spot I was told to shoot. Had my range number written down by the employee at the window and everything. Went with 2 of my buddies for the first weekend shoot in months. I had a 12 gauge and they had 556 ARs.When paying at the window, I was told to go shoot at the rifle range with my buddies, despite me even asking about the shotgun-specific shooting area. Guy at the window (35-40y/o, large heavy-set man, short facial hair and buzzed head) told me he was "hooking me up", so I asked for a 25 target for my shotgun and did as told. We were given range numbers 56(me), 82, and 83.About an hour and a half later a different man (60ish, stubble, about 5'8 and thin) who identified himself as 'the owner' walked up and immediately cussed me out, saying I was not supposed to be shooting my shotgun where I was. I attempted respectfully explaining the situation, and he interrupted me and said to my face that what I was saying was b******** that I 'got caught' (shooting my shotgun 20 yards down from where I should have, because I'd totally do that for no reason...), and was told to clean up shells. Not bothering to push the matter any further since I was just there to have a good time with friends, I picked up my shells while my buddies packed their rifles, and we promptly left to a range in Liberty that they had initially recommended. Had a sour taste in our mouth for the rest of the day over that, I'm disappointed in this range. I used to have a 5 star review on this place. Last few times I went the workers have just been condescending pricks. Just because y'all gotta deal with a bunch of young idiots doesn't mean every young person there is an idiot. And from one business owner to another: don't ever insult your damn paying customers, especially during a communication failure on the fault of YOUR OWN EMPLOYEES. What ever happened, Daryl? This range used to be decent.

My opinion I love this range man you do what you want on your own free will I love how you can shoot any gun you want not a lot of ranges let you shoot any ammo gotta be all specific and what not I love it I love the guys that work there. They old guys what do you expect just don't nothing stupid and they won't bother you I recommend.
