Just wanted to express our thanks to the Vetco team: Rebecca ( receptionist ), (Technician) Te-Te, and (Vet) Dr. Cleary. You took such good care of us for our new puppy wellness exam with Snoopy. Everyone was so kind and helpful, answering all of our pet parent questions .We look forward to using this store and the Vetco services for all of Snoopy’s future needs.

Dr. Cleary and the whole staff are amazing! They are kind and friendly. I have been bringing my fur baby here for at least 5 years and it’s always a great experience. They are very knowledgeable and try to keep things moving as best they can.I will say that I preferred it when it was THRIVE. The membership made sense and the pricing made sense. I don’t like Vital Care at all and am not a member as it was a huge downgrade from THRIVE. The only reason I keep coming back is for Dr. Cleary and the staff. There is no direct line to the vet and that would be reeeeally helpful!

This review is for the vet assistant and the vet, Cleary. The first sentences spoke by the assistant, were judgmental and critical. It caught me off guard. After that, unfortunately, I mentally checked out. I put all of my focus on remaining calm. They both behaved that way, and used the tactic of shaming, to get me to pay for more services. Cleary, left in and out of the room 4-5 times, and every time she came back into the room, she suggested a new test. None, which actually solved the problem, just tests. After the 5th time, I had to finally say, that’s it! It was ridiculous. I ended up taking my dog to his primary Vet (who was booked at the time) who solved the problem.

Doctors are good but their call center is not.I went a few months ago to get my dog some additional medication. She has allergies and we have been struggling to find the right combination of medication for years. As a college student with limited time and resources, I always try to do my best to get as much for her as I can. When my appointment was overlooked one day, I requested to speak to the call center. I mentioned that “it happens, but just keep patient care in mind”. Instead of apologizing (which I didn’t need or cared for) or just taking my comment, the call center person decided to blame me and accuse me for not purchasing all treatments for my dog. (It was medicated shampoo which I already had) because of this she went on to say that if I really cared for my dog, I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase.Regardless, I will not be returning. I have since found a CHEAPER vet that was able to help my dogs allergies, much quicker than this current location.

We brought our 13 year old German Shepard in for an exam to see Dr. Cleary and her staff for a growth on her foot that has grown in the past 2 week. We talked about doing the surgery to have it removed. The staff was very kind and explain the process to us. We dropped her off in the morning to have the growth removed. When the surgery was over and our pet was in recovery Dr. Cleary gave us a call to let us know how it went. When we picked up our pet the staff went over the information with us we would need for home after care. The staff called us the next day to see how our pet was doing. We couldn't ask for better care from the staff at Vetco. They have earned our business.

I regret to say that I cannot recommend this clinic due to my disappointing experience with the vet. In my interactions with her, I found her to be cold and lacking empathy towards animals. However, it's worth noting that the rest of the staff at the clinic were quite friendly.

I’ve been taking my dog to this vet clinic since before it became Vetco. It used to be a Thrive vet clinic before Petco bought all their Petco locations. I kept going since I didn’t want to have to find a new vet, and while the vet and technicians are still great here, the Petco/Vetco formatting is ridiculous. Aside from removing the 20% discount I had paying for the thrive vip membership, Vetco only does a free vet checkup (which is done outside of the room so now sure what all they are doing), it’s more expensive in general. But worst of all, and the reason for this review, is that they do not have a direct line to the clinic anymore. If you need to call the vet to ask a question about your pets prescription or something comes up after you appointment you need to ask about, good luck getting any help.If you call them through the vetco number, you get a call center that is only helpful if you want to make an appointment. If you call the Petco store, the “dial 5 for Petco” and the person at the front desk will both transfer you to the call center. The number they will tell you is to the clinic will also take you to the call center. And every time I reach the call center they put you on hold just to say they couldn’t reach anyone at the clinic!!My dog had her anal glands rupture after being expressed and given medicine for them on Tuesday, and it’s been 2 days of me trying to reach someone to ask the vet if she’s okay as is with her medicine or if she needs to go back and get another prescription. 2 days!!Now that I know there is a Thrive location on 11th st, after this I’m going back to thrive.

Gave my dog a false diagnosis (much like the comments) of tics that was actually just basic allergies. After a second opinion because the medicine she MADE us buy didn’t work. 200$ wasted. She is most definitely scamming

Doctor is rude and doesn’t seem to be properly educated on basic veterinary medicine or just doesn’t care about the health of the animals in her care at all. They’ll do whatever they can to get you out of there as quickly as they can at the detriment of your pet’s health. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I opted to give this place try since I recently joined Vital Care Premier. Avoid the tech Bree at all costs! She talked so fast and softly that I didn’t hear what she was saying. I was unaware till check out she gave my dog a shot without my knowledge. The dr was brief, no personal skills she examined and did the shots in the back away from the room. I will not be back lesson learned the hard way. You get what you pay for. I should’ve checked the yelp reviews.

TLDR; IF YOU WANNA BE ROBBED, DISRESPECTED AND DEAL WITH PEOPLE WHO DO NOT CARE ABOUT ANIMALS, BRING YOUR PETS HERE.This vet “hospital” is awful. For starters they are NOT a hospital though they will charge you a hospital fee. I brought my dog here for a limp and had him checked out a few months ago, they told me it was nothing to worry about but I should do the testing. Obviously I love my dog so I did the testing and everything “came back fine” and I followed the instructions of just giving him Cosequin. Fast forward to today, my dogs limping has gotten worse so I book an appointment and an hour later they call me back saying they’re not going to see him and he needs to go to an emergency vet. I explained to them I was not going to take him to an emergency vet bc they lost themselves as a hospital and I will be bringing him to his 9:45 am appointment. The woman on the phone who did not identify herself told me I could pay to bring him in but that would be their answer. WHAT KIND OF VET HOSPITAL REFUSES THEIR PATIENTS!??This place is absolute garbage and needs to be shut down.

Been a couple times for my pup. Haven’t really had anything other than neutral experiences before this. I don’t love that the entire assessment of your pet is often out of the room, and not actually with the vet. Today’s tech was not at all paying attention to my dog’s care. It was obvious she didn’t read his chart, she came with an estimate for an entirely different procedure, and all my dog needed was an allergy injection. I was told follow up injections would only be the injection cost, but there were extra costs. I also just requested the injection for 50lb weight since my dog doesn’t sit still on the scale, and came out at 50.5. She said he needed the dose for 60 pounds. I originally mentioned in the previous visit notes I’d like to have an allergy panel for my dog, but they just rushed to assume it was sudden onset of environmental allergies. Now I’m not even sure he should be getting this injection. Will likely be looking elsewhere for care. This is good for routine vaccinations, but not personal care.

The doctor didn’t know how to handle my dog, it felt like it was the first time she saw a dog. She didn’t engage neither with the dog or with me. Unprofessional. When I asked how my dog was she said she didn’t know and she needed to go in the back to put a plan together. She put a full on hazmat suit and spent less than 2 minutes in the room. However nurse Norma was much better, more communicative and caring. This doctor should be fired for not caring for animals and not engaging in her duty. Why was she there ? I don’t even know.

I recently took my dog to Vetco Total Care and I have to say, I was extremely impressed with the level of care and attention that they provided. From the moment we walked in the door, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and they treated my dog like a member of their own family. The veterinarians at Vetco Total Care are highly knowledgeable and experienced, and they took the time to answer all of my questions and address any concerns that I had about my dog's health.
