This place is convenient to where I live and has just what you need for last minute alcohol needs. Even his wine selection is decent for being so small. Sometimes he fires up the karaoke machine and lets his customers sing.

This place is right down the street from our townhome so we go there out of convenience, but actually it's a good place. The owner is awesome. Always has the techno music going. My husband goes to pick up something several times a week. The owner is super friendly and asks about our new baby.

Double charges sales tax

Do not go to this store. The man will charge you an extra $3-4 PER item than is actually listed on the shelves. He is very unethical and will rob you blind. Save your money and go to Specs. You will get better deals, and will be helping a Texas business instead of a foreign crook with zero ethics who laughs at you when you ask why he charged more than listed on the shelves.

After dinner with a few business associates we were looking to have a few cocktails but with no place close to our hotel and with no bar at the hotel we decided to pull into this little liquor store and pick up a few things and get plowed at the hotel so none of us would be driving (always drink responsible). We ended up getting a few pints of Tito's, Jack Daniels, Wild Turkey American Honey, a Mountain Dew, a Six Pack of Samuel Adams, and a few cans of RedBull. This little store was rocking out with the music cranked up and the friendly small framed owner swaying with the beat and singing the broken lyrics in tongues while checking us out. As he continue to punch on the register I noticed in the small chest type cooler in front of the counter there were a number of red solo cups filled ice lined up on the small shelf next to several open bottles of cheap booze. I asked him if these ready to pour cups were for sell and he simply stated 38 cents, of course this was something we hadn't considered so we grabbed a few and we were set. While pulling out of the parking lot and waiting to turn at the light we noticed a few savory looking citizens working the corner with their hands out and sitting on the concrete median a few feet away were a few cups that looked vaguely familiar to the ones we just purchased. Just another reason to love this country and the ingeniousness of the West Loop Liquor Store owner to accommodate all his customers.
