I am a member but looking for a new credit union. Someone called me with all my info from a # identifying as shell federal credit union. I called immediately. Fraud helped me stop the account created another for me as I was out of town. Got back went into bank was told I could not have access to digital banking, zelle, or cash for 6 months I would have to go to bank for all needs. Why am I being penalized. I did exactly as told changed passwords and closed that account. So any suggestions looking for a new credit union.

Went to the branch by Woodforest. All I wanted was rolls of half dollars and pennies. They told me them don't have any. The teller went to the teller manager and came back saying they didn't have any..... really.... but if I go to the branch on Fairmont they are always willing to help me. I don't have a lot of money in my account.... but they have my auto loan there. This branch lacks the professionalism to take care of their customers, those with a lot and those with a little....

I would give this bank a zero but everyone that works here is Hispanic not fair!! Also if you are in between jobs or miss work they do nothing to help you! I was with him for 25 years and I'm definitely leaving Shell Federal credit Union

Worst financial institution ever. Customer service non-existent. The branch tellers and phone agents are rude and condescending buttholes. Constant issues with debit card declines. Ridiculously long holds on check deposits. The funds availability disclosure states your deposit may be subject to delay "if we think a check you deposit will not be paid." Translation, if you have a darker paint job your deposit is suspect and will be held. I don't have time to play games with clowns that seem to take pleasure in controlling and making it as difficult as possible for me to access MY MONEY!

Worthless piece of shit of a bank. Make decisions on closing my debit card with out authorization, telling me am on collection, this bank is the worse now, stay away from this bank.

When no bank allowed me to open shell allowed me amazing bank when no one let me get an auto loan they did they are worth keeping as your main bank outstanding workers

Closed my loan out without my consent. I never signed anything. I never asked them to. Called and was told a manager would call me back but nothing. Called a second time and was on hold for 15 min before told they couldn't do anything and it was a system error. Service has never been welcoming in the past. Had a manger forget to turn in my ACH form so I had a late payment. I went in and had to sign again and the lady helping me then didn't even bother to acknowledge the error. I hardly ever write reviews but this here was it for me. Be aware of the terrible service before opening an account.

Shell keeps changing the story on how there escrow account works. The only keep 2 months of escrow and a buffer, but can charge you more. I had a shortage on the payments but the escrow was able to cover it. Now my payments went up with a surplus in escrow due to the balance has nothing to due with current payment. This is the second time to have a loan problem with them, i guess I deserve it, I keep going back

This place need a whole attitude check! Every single one of them! They make you wait forever even if there's no one. The bankers are just sitting in their office! There's the old lady banker l. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! don't even think of banking here

Their shitty bank app will not take my check. They are telling me I have to call the company to get a replacement check. They will not take it at their branch. I can NEVER trust their shitty app again.

I called confused about my bill not being paid but money being taken out under the bill name, Keke helped me understand what was going on and even offered me a one time refund on those fees, she was very patient and very kind, I accidentally hung up on her too soon but she had very great customer service!!!!

Came in today to open an account, which most was done online. The individual I met up with needs some serious attitude adjustment. Tried to make polite conversation and she couldn't even muster a smile. I get it, it's Monday and busy but there was no need to be rude. The account has been open but if this is how business is going to be then I may not be a customer too long. I've gotten much better reception at banks than what I've experienced today.

This credit union is the most inconsiderate organization I have ever known about. My brother was a member and recently passed very suddenly and was young. He had a car financed through them along with a checking and savings account. My brothers first car note was due on 04/11/2021 and he passed away on 04/08/2021 however the payment was auto drafted out of the account and they received their first payment. My brother had not been buried more than 3 days and they called wanting to come pick up the car. I understand that you are a business and business must go on but the payment was made and not late so technically it had been paid for that month so there was no need to contact a grieving family and make arrangements so bluntly. If that was not bad enough they wiped out his checking and savings account for a loan that his family had no idea about and they would not discuss with us and they said they can't due to him being deceased and I asked them how do you know he passed well we were notified by the social security office. I told them sir the social security office does make mistakes and they have reported people being deceased when they were not so again how do you know he is deceased where is your proof that he is deceased. I know you don't have the death certificate because his family does not have it at this time so please explain how you removed 8k out of his accounts with no legal proof of his passing. They could not answer that questions or explain how that was appropriate. I feel like this organization has robbed my brother and in fact was very inconsiderate to the situation and I would never ever give them my business. It is sad enough that a family is grieving that you have to add to the pain as well and oh I really loved the fact that I was told that he did not hold up to his obligation to his loan last time I checked a deceased person did not have an option on staying on this earth to make good on a loan and to make it sound like he was not responsible and did not take care of his obligations is offensive. I would like to warn people of this organization before you think about placing your trust in them!!!!!! I would love to rate this place below 0 because I think they are no better than the dirt people walk on.
