I placed an order with Williams-Sonoma in May for a Breville Barista espresso machine (white color), and it’s now the end of July — and I still don’t have my item. My shipment has been postponed multiple times, and every time I reach out, I get a vague new date with no explanation. The most recent promise is August 29, but after months of delays, I’ve lost all trust.
What’s worse is they took full payment immediately, even though they clearly had no stock. If the item isn’t available, why is it still being sold on the website?
I have asked them repeatedly to send the machine from any available inventory (even from showroom or warehouse stock) — and still, no resolution.
This has been one of the worst shopping experiences I’ve ever had, and the lack of communication and accountability is shocking for a company of this size. I’ve already contacted their corporate office and will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB).
I do not recommend ordering anything from Williams-Sonoma if you expect timely delivery or honest service.

I purchased a Jura S8 coffee machine from this location for $3,299.95, trusting the 30-day return policy clearly stated on the receipt. After just one use, I discovered the milk frother was not heating milk properly, even after adjusting all settings. Whether it was a defective unit or a limitation of the machine, I was shocked that such an expensive super-automatic espresso maker couldn’t even make a hot cappuccino.
I returned just two days later to request a refund and was flatly denied because the item had been “opened.” That is absolutely absurd. How are customers supposed to know a machine works without trying it? The product didn’t perform as expected, yet Williams Sonoma refused to stand by their policy or assist in-store.
Thankfully, I’ve since reached out to their corporate customer service team, who has been far more professional and helpful. The retail experience here was completely unacceptable. If you’re considering buying an appliance from this store, be extremely cautious. Once you open the box, your money may be gone for good.

Bought a new Kitchen Aid food processor. I was so excited to pick it up and couldn’t wait to use it. When I unpacked the box the food pusher was cracked. I called the Kitchen Aid customer service to get a new one and the representative, after I gave her the serial number informed me the receipt would definitely be needed because that food processor is almost 5 years old. Really?!?!? Williams Sonoma, very disappointed. What else are you selling us, at exorbitant costs that are five years old.?

Absolutely the worst service I've had in years. I received a gift from a friend and she gave me a gift receipt showing the item had been purchased in Dallas just two days earlier. I decided to return it for store credit or, if I found something I liked at the store, to do an exchange.As soon as I arrived the two ladies at the counter gave me the third degree in a very rude way from the start. Why was I returning it, they said they could not give me a store credit, the conversation went on and one about what they could not do. I finally got the store credit but not before they completely turned me off to ever doing business with Williams-Sonoma again. Being a public company, I would have expected a better customer service experience. Seeing the other terrible service related reviews posted here, I see it's a consistent problem.

DO NOT BUY the De’LonghiCoffee & Espresso Maker, Adjustable Frother(COM532M)This is a terrible coffee maker, do not buy it! It stopped brewing coffee after 1 month. I took it back to WS and the customer service there was useless. No help at all to help me with this defective product they sold me. I’m out of $500 and without any coffee in the mornings!
