I’m not someone who normally leaves reviews—especially online—but this stay was so disappointing, I felt I had to share my experience.
Here are the main issues I had:
Parking is $30/day, which was not disclosed prior to booking. I stayed two nights and ended up paying an extra $60. When I asked about it, I was told it was due to a busy weekend. Had I known this in advance, I would have chosen a different hotel.
The pool was out of service, with no prior notice given.
Only one elevator was working for the entire hotel. Imagine the long waits during check-in and check-out with everyone trying to use the same elevator.
Wi-Fi didn’t reach the room. The area already has poor cellular reception (which isn’t the hotel’s fault), but having unreliable Wi-Fi made things worse and very inconvenient.
Staff were not friendly or helpful, including both the front desk and housekeeping. No one seemed interested in making the stay more comfortable.
Most of the ice machines were out of order. We had to check multiple floors just to find one that worked.
The A/C in the common areas wasn’t working. The lobby was extremely hot, and waiting there to check in was uncomfortable and frustrating.
Overall, this hotel did not meet basic expectations, and I would not stay here again.

The only good thing about this place is the LOCATION. The place looks old, and the pool was out of service. Only one elevator works, A/C in the room is very loud, and the ice machine on our floor didn't work. You will be charged an extra $30 for the parking on large event dates.

I booked this hotel back in February 2025 for the Beyoncé concert at NRG Stadium on June 28th and 29th. I was so excited for this trip and made sure everything was planned in advance. But from the moment I arrived on June 27th, I was hit with frustration.
First, I was told I’d have to pay an extra $30 per day for parking because of the event. This charge was never communicated to me ahead of time—no email, no text, nothing. I booked months in advance and still got hit with surprise fees. It felt shady and completely unfair.
Then, there was only ONE working elevator the entire weekend. The hotel was sold out, and my room was on the opposite end of the building—so getting to and from it was a huge hassle. Not to mention, the Wi-Fi was terrible the whole time—slow, unreliable, and constantly dropping out.
The only real positive was the location. If you’re attending an event at NRG Stadium, it’s super convenient—you can just walk right over, which definitely saves time and money on transportation. But honestly, the hotel really needs to step up their game. Between the surprise fees, broken elevator, and bad internet, it was a disappointing experience overall.

Absolutely Terrible Experience – Do Not Recommend
My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing from beginning to end. The check-in process was rushed, and I wasn’t given proper paperwork or any helpful information about the hotel. As soon as I entered the room, I noticed a strong, unpleasant smell and immediately saw multiple large cockroaches—it was disgusting.
None of the staff members spoke clear English, which made communication difficult and frustrating. The elevator was out of service during my entire stay, and the complimentary breakfast was barely edible. On top of that, I had to beg for basic necessities like clean towels, and the blow dryer in the room didn’t even work.
The worst part? My car window was busted and broken into overnight. I had listed my make and model during check-in, yet no one from the hotel staff informed me. When I approached security, they were unhelpful and also couldn't speak any English. It felt like there was no real security or care for guests' safety.
This was by far one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I will not be returning, and I strongly advise others to look elsewhere.

This is NOT a good hotel nor a mediocre one. This is literally a dumpster of a property. You would be better off booking at a Motel 6 or a Holiday Inn. Everything is EXTREMELY dated. The tub literally has chunks missing from the bottom and a permanent brown ring; thank God I came with cleaning supplies and an electric spin brush. Also, if you need a mini fridge for food or medication, make sure you ask at check-in. Apparently, “due to COVID” all rooms do not have them, so hopefully you’ll be placed in one that does if you need it. Additionally, check the calendar - they have complimentary parking, but will charge $30/night if there’s a “major event” happening. So maybe it’s free, maybe it’s $30+ - depends on the day. Lastly, they had ONE functioning elevator for the ENTIRE property to use and this was during a “major event”, so imagine the wait. If you can spare driving a bit or taking an Uber, just do that. The best part about this place is that it’s a stone’s throw from the stadium. Other than that, nothing. This place is so shitty that the proximity to the stadium truly isn’t worth it. I would NEVER stay here again nor would I recommend it.

Elevator doesn’t work
Security doors to the outside don’t close
Smells like cat urine & weeks old
Curry
Hair on the pillows (wasn’t ours)
Door handle broken to restroom
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ what that black stuff was on the bed
Tv remote was held by tape and still didn’t work
AC unit was not properly installed, gaps in weather stripping
Holes in wall, lowest bid remodel crew I am sure
Charges $30 for parking, even though you’re told it’s free parking and it even says “free parking” on the website
Housekeepers barge in your room without knocking and then ask if you speak “ingles” all in Spanish. The question is do you speak English.
Only good thing was it was a 3 min walk to NRG stadium.
Don’t stay here. Don’t expect a receipt. Don’t expect a quick check in. Don’t expect Wyndham to care.

Stayed here for a concert at NRG. After paying an outrageous price of 430 for one night they still charged us to park on location because of the concert which is one of the reasons we decided to get the room here to avoid paying to park. Nowhere when I booked did it say I had to pay to park. The price gouging is unreal!!

Zero stars. Absolutely disgusting hotel. The convenient location to the stadium is not worth it. 88 degree room, mold, ROACHES, and broken elevators. Horrendous stay, would rather pay Uber charges than Stay here for the convenience of location. And it’s impossible to get in touch with management. Been calling since Friday and no call back. The website states parking is free, but when you check in, they will charge you $30 per day for parking. Absolutely do not recommend staying here.

First room had a rat in it. The size of a small dog. They switched our room to the room next door the air conditioner sounded like a locomotive. It was so loud, so we decided to try and get a refund and stay somewhere else. It took over 2 hours to get a refund and get off property do not. Dont waste your time coming to this hotel, Both rooms appear to have water damage. I have stayed in drive up motels that were nicer. Do yourself a favor and don't stay here.

Run as fast as you can from both the wingate by Wyndham and the Wyndham hotel on the corner next to NRG stadium. The hotel air conditioning didn't work. Needs alot of repairs. Ice machines and elevators don't work. Lastly 16 vehicle had windows busted out and they said the security company who parole was called off by mistake. Found out that the person who called them off no longer works there. Inside job we were told. We will never stay here again. There was a young family there who was dealing with family illnesses and then their car is vandalized.

First off the rooms are pretty nasty. The whole building needs a deep clean. Lobby area was renovated but not the rooms. Right after entering the room we saw some insects crawling on the floor. Smell was nasty. You can tell the bathrooms are pretty old with the stains. Overall the room looked like it was a minimum of 15 years old. And then we slept and had itching all night and woke up to realize bed bugs crawling on the bed. It was a horrible experience all night. Morning comes in and we checked out and went to our car to see a break in on the passenger side window. Went to receptionist and found out several other cars were also in the same situation. No help from the hotel. Overall it was a horrible experience. I would not recommend one percent.

WARNING. DO NOT STAY HERE.The hallways smell of mildew and human sweat. The hotel fraudulently charged me for smoking in the room (weed) when I don’t even smoke. I took a drug test to operate a crane for work and I offered to show them my drug test but still hung up on me. I felt hopeless and beat to the pulse. Lucky my credit card let me dispute the charges against them. A bunch of scamming liars. Drugs dealers in the hallway. Don’t talk to the man in accounting or guest services because they will just hang up on you after robbing you. Nastiest hotel I have ever been in. The pool looks like a swamp. At least they even put nice stale bread and oily tater tots out for breakfast. Biggest waste of money and on top of that. They robbed me. Save yourself. Do not stay here.

Meh it's OK for a night if need be. Entire building smells bad from water leak. Several guys said they didn't have AC. Parkings tight. Breakfast doesn't start till 7, no help for a working man. Very small, slow elevators just take the stairs. Wouldn't stay here on my own dime.
