Meat buyers be aware: when you buy chicken leg quarters, buy the whole box. DONOT tell them to cut into pieces or clean the meat. You will receive at least 40% less meat. They would keep a portion of the thigh and cut from both sides (see images below). The third time in a row, received the same size. Even though I told them not to cut and just remove the skin, the thigh had barely any meat. Very disappointing ?...oh well, Allah knows, so it's my gain at the end!

We came on a Friday night. The waitress was great. She made some wonderful suggestions of beer/cider. I had my usual Guinness on tap $8.50. My daughter had a delicious fruity cider on tap. Only problem was it was 6oz for $11, it was way over priced. Should have been $7-8.I had the French dip and tater tots, it was delicious, it seemed a lot smaller than I remember from before. My daughter had their new sandwich, macaroni and cheese and brisket on Texas toast. She said it was good but it needed more crunch to it. The bread was a little thinner than most Texas toast. Maybe the toast needed to be more toasted?I enjoy coming here, but it is extremely noisy. It was too cold to sit outside, so we toughed it out. We love sitting outside, looking out over the water. People can smoke outside, so that gets annoying. You have to yell to be able to talk inside. I couldn’t hear sometimes. If you like sports, they have lots of sporting events on a lot of TV screens.

What a great place to buy groceries for deshis and also we get all kinds of green leafy vegetables like methi leaves, palak, curry leaves, beetle leaves, gongura leaves, drumstick leaves and chards..which is difficult getting everything in 1 store now. Vegetables are fresh. We get fresh mutton and best I can say. All spices we use in our kitchen. Must buy places I suggest.

I don’t want to give World Food a 3 star review. I get most of my halal meat from here as it is cheaper than other places in Houston. But, they do not care about their employees. The cashiers stand in a super hot environment because the AC are not working in the front. World Food makes so much money at least fix the AC in the front. The employees have a tiniest fan by them. This is a joke, please fix this and I will give this place a 5 star.

I used to love this place for produce and meat. But recently I have been noticing lower quality and higher prices of everything.Came across a few rusted cans of feta cheese with expired dates. Bought some lychees and I am not kidding, but they were colored. Washed them and put them in a plate and they had colored water on the plate. And unfortunately half the lychees were rotten inside and they the other half were getting there and didn't taste good at all. Last week, I bought some veggies that went bad in less than 2 days in the fridge. Some chicken is discolored, not cut properly. I mean why are there chicken bones cut in the middle, chicken bones should only be cut at joints. Not happy with this new management. Prices are labeled wrong. SMH

World Food offers a diverse selection of Pakistani and Indian items. I have been a loyal customer since their opening in 2005. During my most recent visit, I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Irtaza Ashfaq in the meat department. His exceptional customer service skills, attention to detail, and ability to explain the different cuts of goat meat left a lasting impression. It was a delightful experience talking with him and we will definitely return and request his assistance again.Additionally, Mr. Fahad provided excellent customer service by going out of his way to help us. While checking out, we had missed an item during our shopping and he promptly retrieved it for us.

This is hands down the biggest grocery store for South Asian products and some Middle Eastern too. They have a big fresh meat section with a wide range of products. Also worth mentioning is the fresh snack counter where they serve fresh Samosas (5 different varieties), rolls, to go Biryani, butter chicken etc.. and Tandoori chicken chargha.

Good place to shop grocery, but they need to improve their inventory management. That is a serious challenge for their management. They need to add the product instantly if it goes zero on the shelf. Not having products for weeks shatters customer confidence.
