“Nothing bad to say, except the elephant that lives upstairs. Amazing staff, amenities, and location. In about 10min i can walk to my favorite restaurants in Deep Ellum, or Trees & The Bomb Factory for events. The convenience of the food hall and The Shed is clutch. My electric bill averages $40, the pool has direct sunlight from about 8a-8p, and my massive balcony and view of downtown cannot be beat!”

“After a few months of living in the community, I can say that I’ve been really happy with the decision to move here. My biggest reasons for that include Genesis and Michael in the leasing office, the responsiveness of the maintenance team, and the convenient location of the apartments.

Since touring, Genesis has shown such kindness and professionalism towards my family. She’s quick to help, even for the smaller requests. Her and Michael are always at the resident events, and it’s been a big difference from other communities we’ve lived in. The events are frequent and cater to what the residents want.

The apartment itself is pretty, modern, and has all of the features I look for including a dishwasher, efficient washer/dryer, and water/ice dispenser in the fridge.

As an out of towner, I don’t know much about the Dallas area yet, but I’ve enjoyed having easy access to the farmers market when I need a quick bite or item.

I read reviews prior to move-in about the homeless population, which I’ve found to be true. The homelessness is prevalent in this area. As someone who has lived in downtown areas before, I just choose not to walk around at night. I know that might not be possible for everyone. I think the leasing team does a good job of managing entrance into the community because you can’t even come into the office from the street without being buzzed in. There also aren’t any benches outside of the complex which seems to help.

Finally, I was concerned about the parking garage upon move-in, as I had read many reviews about the lack of parking. Because of this, I opted for a reserved spot and that’s why I can’t speak to that issue - since my spot is always there for me.”

From my very first inquiry to moving in a couple weeks ago, Bert has gone above and beyond to ensure everything was smooth, clear, and stress-free for me. “I can't say enough about the staff at Desoto Town Center. My experience has been a very pleasant one in just the 3 months I have been here. The manager Kim is always beautifying the property in some way; I've never seen a Property Manager with such passion and pride. Sandra is also amazing. She's easy to communicate with and quick to respond when I need assistance. I don't have to worry about a lot of commotion as I live by the Zen Garden. It's a very peaceful space. “My husband and I had the opportunity to be married at The Venue at 400 N Ervay this past Oct. and we couldn’t be happier. The space itself was magical being able to have a rooftop ceremony, inside the vintage courtroom for dinner and then rooftop dance party to close out the evening. We had extraordinary photos on the rooftop and the food was raved about by our guests (which rarely happens). The space being managed by Boxwood Hospitality made the whole process of wedding planning so easy and the day of the most extraordinary experience. We got lucky that the weather was incredible so we could have the event outside but even if the weather hadn’t been nice, having the back up of the inside space alleviated any worries we would have had. Would highly recommend this space to anyone looking for a wedding space in downtown Dallas that has a unique vintage twist with elegance and a touch of the outdoor!”
