I visited jiffy lube Store #194 located at 1 E Roosevelt Road Lombard, IL 60148 on 10/16/23 for a routine oil change. Ten minutes after leaving, I received a call to return to JL bc they forgot to do something. Minutes after I hung up, my check engine light turned on and my car warned me to immediately pull over and turn my engine off. I did as the car said and called JL back. They insisted I drive back there because they couldn't help me otherwise. I told them that I did not feel safe doing so and I would listen to the car. He agreed and met me where I pulled over. When he got there, he informed me all the oil was gone from my car. He replaced my car with oil and instructed I drive it back to JL for refund and clean up. He cleaned the car up and provided a refund for the service. A week later, my car started making a noise. Instantly, I brought it to the VW dealership at 9pm on a Tues. This was an inconvenience as I had to car pool with my coworker to work the next morning. VW said I had to replace the engine and turbo due to metal in the oil. This is consistent with the car being ran without oil. The costs of the damages are $11,482.70. This was a direct result of JL making a mistake with my oil change, causing my car to run w/o oil from it all leaking out. My father in law went to JL twice to resolve the issue by telling them to pay for the damages they caused to my car. We have been speaking with the manager, Allen. They have not helpful and said the issue was out of their hands and that it was for corporate. VW reached out to JL multiple times. A JL manager went to VW to look at my car, but would not provide any contact info. They said corporate would follow up with us a few days later. That was over a 1.5 weeks ago now. We have been calling and JL will not provide a contact to myself or VW. We have not heard anything on the status and we have not been provided with any contact to follow up. I have not had my car for 3 weeks now. This has been going on for too long and jiffy lube needs to pay for the damages they caused to my car.

After my atrocious experience with ****** off of May and ****** I got a call from corporate by a man named ****. He said he would personally look at my car so we drove to the closest jiffy lube and he said it needed some work and he would keep it overnight and we could get it first thing in the morning. He was very courteous and kind and explain things very well. Turns out it was only a water pump that needed replaced. Now the ** is working again and the sound is gone. ****** had done a wonderful job and I am very happy with his service.

I wish I could post NO STARS AT ALL. The absolute worst experience in my life. I took my 2018 Mazda into get a oil change and I didn’t even make it down the street before my engine seized. The managers threatened me not to sue because of my invoice had false documentation saying that I had a engine oil leak and other problems that weren’t real nor said to me while I was there. They also said this has been happening a lot at that location. For the past 3 months I have been calling them everyday for someone to give me an update on my situation. FINALLY a couple of days later I get a denial because of the list of reason on my invoice that we’re lies from the managers that were fired. This is not acceptable at all and definitely illegal. If anyone has legal advice please send it my way. I have lost so much money, time, and sanity with jiffy lube. This was my first and last time trying to get an oil change from them.Service: Oil change

When I pulled up for an oil change, no one was around and an employee eventually sauntered out of a room and into the bay to pull me in. Once inside and the employee removed the oil filter, another employee came over and was then informing me of the cost of oil change (effectively trapping me here already because oil and filter had already been dumped). I was at that time informed of the base price, and told that my service would also require additional costs due to extra oil needed. As that employee was talking with me, his personal phone rang and he answered it mid conversation on speaker stating “I know we just got married but you gotta hold onâ€. After he walked away, he and the employee under my vehicle engaged in banter about being on the phone with the employee underneath calling the other employee “lover-boy†regarding the phone call. The employee above continued his phone call for a few minutes. When the employee underneath came up, he was holding his phone in his hand and then set it on the engine bay of my vehicle before grabbing the oil filling pump. They then told me to start the engine and without ever looking at my dash for oil pressure waited a 10 count before telling me to shut it down. I watched my oil pressure myself and turned it off when stabilized. The employee then told me the final price of the oil change and took my card into a separate room, and returned the card to me without a receipt. I was then never told to start the motor just waved to drive out. I asked for a receipt and was told it was emailed to me. A review of the electronic copy indicates a signature was required and scribbled by an employee. Additionally, it is indicated on my receipt that tire pressures were checked and filled and they were not. All employees were courteous, however this is highly unprofessional as a company to all this behavior

My wife took her car to jiffy lube to get a routine oil change and after her hearing them beat on and rock the car she then called me and told me the situation the messed my wife engine up in her 2019 Lexus NX300 while taking the oil filter off they cracked her engine block they then gave her a small rental when she had a brand new suv over 30 days went by and heard nothing from them tried to contact to get updates but nothing back then we received a call on 1/26/23 stating they still haven’t fixed the car and that they will give her a check for 7k and for her to get it fixed we then called Lexus dealership they told us repairs where over 10k sent invoice back to jiffy lube now they decided they don’t wanna pay the price when they are the one who messed up the vehicle I’ve already reported them to BBB I will be contacting the local new and seeking legal action this is ridiculous you should not treat your customer like that when they work hard for the things they have we will not except this someone has to and will be held accountable

Do not use this Jiffy Lube! My car (2016 Subaru Outback) was serviced on Monday, 12/19 and on Thursday, 12/22 the car broke down on I80 in Pennsylvania as my son was coming home for Christmas. Attached are the images from a mechanic in Mercer, PA that shows the missing oil drain plug, engine oil all over the bottom of the car, and internal damage to the engine. As a result of this poor service, my son and girlfriend were put in a very dangerous position - stranded on the side of I80 at 9PM for two hours with traffic/trucks coming by as they waited for an emergency tow. It's been over three weeks and we still are awaiting clear direction on how to proceed after numerous phone calls and email exchanges.

On July 12 I had my oil changed at the Jiffy Lube #2442, 6686 E Tanque Verde Rd tucson, AZ 85715-3814. One week later, my car started making loud mechanical noises and I noticed the oil pressure warning light was on. I parked the car, and had it towed to an auto shop that determined that the oil drain plug had fallen out, the engine was drained of oil, and irreparably damaged. The manager of the Jiffy Lube inspected the car, and agreed they were at fault. They agreed to pay to replace the engine, but that process hasn't begun yet, they are still debating whether or not to pay for a rental car for me, much less pay for the towing their poor service necessitated. The franchisee defers to his "warranty department", corporate "Customer Care Unit" defers to the franchisee and we've been without a car for well over a week, longer now with the weekend coming. I want them to actually replace the engine they've already agreed to, and to pay for a car rental until I get my car back, and to reimburse me the $122 for the towing. They're needlessly dragging their feet, they've already accepted responsibility but have not done too much to act on it.UPDATE: TCC finally arranged for a rental vehicle on July 30, nine days after the car went into the shop. On Aug 1, one of their "Vehicle Claims Specialists" sent me an offer of $3500 to close the case, but this is thousands less than an engine replacement (which is all I want, them to own up to their mistake and make it right) and way under what a used 2006 Matrix would cost, even if there were one available where I live. This is insulting. They need to do better, and not put their customers through a wringer because Jiffy Lube/Team Car Care screwed up.[North Central Texas Better Business Bureau case ID # 91673481]UPDATE 2: The car was finally repaired, I was able to pick it up on Aug 13. They also did provide a rental vehicle, through a local Enterprise Rent-a-car. On Aug 22, I requested compensation for the towing charge ($122) and a refund for the oil change that caused all this. I provided the online receipt from the towing company, and the credit card statement showing I paid for the oil change. As Oct 3, they have not responded.

Ruined my engine!! And tried to cover it up. Two months and counting to get resolution. Seems I should have checked reviews before taking my car for an oil change at their San Marcos location. They did not replace the oil filter properly. My car engine seized and their staff came to the road side then tried to cover up their mistake - added 3.5 quarts of oil and put new oil filter on - I know because the new filter was dated one day AFTER my oil change and had no oil ran through it because the car was inoperable. Idiots! They accepted fault but their claims department never returns calls so I filed a claim with State Farm. The Jiffy Lube franchisee will have to deal with the big insurance company subrogation team now. I have been without my car for 2 months and 5 days.NEVER NEVER NEVER use Jiffy Lube.

SAVE YOURSELF- THEY DESTROYED MY 2019 CAR ENGINE!These people are completely unprofessional and careless. The did an oil change and installed my filter sloppily, causing oil to spill out and the destruction of my 2019 car engine. After months of fighting them, I still have not seen reimbursement for all of the damages. After the threat of a lawsuit they fixed my car but still left me with tons of rental car fees, all the towing fees and never bothered to refund me for the $100 oil change!!! My gorgeous Toyota and my wallet will never be the same and they still, to this day, refuse to do right by me and their customers.

Steve Werner, CEO of Team Car Care should be ashamed of how his company handles situations when they are negligent and destroy customers property. They skirt their responsibilities. They don't show up in court when sued. They ignore customers seeking help when they know they screwed up.

I have been trying to get a reimbursement for damages done to my oil pan during service for weeks now and have heard nothing. I have submitted receipts and been given a refund. My next call is to a lawyer to see if they can get me my reimbursement.

Another horrible experience. Should have read the other reviews before visiting. Will never go back to any of their locations. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.

Horrible experience. Took my car into Toyota for other work and they discovered that Jiffy Lube #3036 had stripped my oil pan (the thread was literally wrapped around the plug when it was removed) and had to be completely replaced. Toyota advised me that Jiffy Lube is responsible for paying for the damage and to take my $700 receipt and pictures of proof of damage to the location I went to. Originally talked to the manager on duty who did what he could and told me to contact the general manager, Ben to see if he could get me my refund. Ben eventually contacted me and then tried to blame the damage on Toyota and obviously did not understand the damage that was done. He sent the case to the district manager, Lewis Martinez, after I demanded that my case actually be reviewed. Since I did not hear from Ben or Lewis in the time frame I was told, I submitted a claim through corporate customer service. Lewis finally called me and left a message but only asked for my car’s current mileage. I sent him my current car mileage along with my case number and the photos of the damage. Never got a response from him so I called him to verify that he got the information I sent him but never heard back from him. I contacted customer service again and gave them all the details of my communications and the pictures of the damage. They updated my case file and reached out to the franchisee Team Car Car East LLC only to find out that someone had already put in a denial of my claim without any justification. To be honest, the corporate customer service was great to work with and they did all they could on my behalf. However, the district manager obviously denied my claim without actually talking to me about the damage and now won’t return calls or texts. Jiffy Lube should be paying for the $700 worth of damage they did to my car but they keep running away from even talking to me about it. Based on other reviews I’ve read, it looks like I’m not the only one who has had this same issue. Will not be using any Jiffy Lube location ever again.

Why is your Decker Dr. address listed as a jiffy lube on Google search? Fix this. Bad info has wasted my time, and, therefore my money.
