Never again! They overcharged my card for extra days when I already turned the truck in. I have used Budget Truck Rental several times and never had any issues until I came to this location! This location sucks! Go somewhere else!

Please make sure you have a debit or credit card that is directly connected to a bank. Cash is not accepted either. My chase account was compromised last week so new account and card numbers were needed. I have not yet received that new card. I checked online and the only stipulation was it had to be debit/ credit with a major logo (ex. Visa, MasterCard) so yesterday before work I went to chase to withdrawl cash to complete my rental truck reservation and transaction. I deposited the money on to my cashapp card that has a Visa logo but was told its not accepted. I then asked if someone else could use their own card and was politely told yes! My reservation could easily be changed to someone else’s name. My son in law came, I sent him the money via cashapp. He gave them his license and HIS chase card. We got all the way through the questions about insurance (which we agreed to purchase for all 3 days) then we were told that he is 19 and must be 21 to rent a truck and 25 to rent a car! I am supposed to be moving today!

7/20/23 we picked up a 16f rental truck; after all the paperwork and insurance, we started to drive off then the engine warning light came on. We drove back to the rental office and after a long wait to get all the paperwork redone, we drove back to our house. This truck has a filthy windshield and the interior of the cab hadn’t been cleaned after the last rental. We spent an hour cleaning everything and started loading. After loading the truck with our belongings, we discovered one of the outside back tire is flat. We found out there is an old cut into the tire that has been left there for a long time (see picture) without being fixed. We called the rental office again and was told to bring the truck back to switch which means we would have to unload and reload everything. After 3 hours on the phone to Roadside Assistance, finally after another 6 hours, roadside assistance came and replaced the flat tire. Our concerns are: 1) isn’t there a pre trip inspection by Budget Truck to ensure each truck is in a safe and proper working order prior to renting it out to the unsuspecting customers? 2) shouldn’t cab interiors be clean prior to renting it out to the paying customers? After having experienced 2 bad cases of poor vehicle maintenance and upkeep, our 2-star rating is overly generous.

The place and attention were pretty good, but the vehicle more or less, the tires in the front were not in good condition and the interior was too dirty.

They are charging us 75 dollars as a no show charge after we showed up to rent a box truck that they did not have. Gave us a dodge ram instead and now we can't get them to refund the $75 dollars as no show. This makes no sense, and the lady is asking us to send them our bank statement as proof like they can't tell that they are billing us in their system

So I booked online a car rental for the day ($40), for 1pm 04/19/23. Went in got checked in and payed and entered my social in the computer. Tonya tells me to go outside and wait for a Jeep, I was confused because I booked an economic Kia rio car but I figured maybe they’ve ran out. My husband and I wait outside, no car no nothing, one of the ladies goes and drives around another blue Jeep, Joydan is her name, ignored us. I still keep waiting but I couldn’t wait long because I had an appointment that day at 5pm in Corpus Christi. I go back inside at 1:15pm to ask how much longer and the two ladies Tonya and Joydan looked at each other confused and Tonya then asked “Was it a Jeep compass” I said yes and then she tells Joyda to bring the car upfront. Another few minutes pass by. By the time I got the Jeep it was 1:27. Joyda was all rude getting off the car and basically moving my husband out the way when inspecting the Jeep. She tells me to bring the car back with the same gas meter. I said okay I’ll even take a picture and she’s like okay I wrote it down on the pink paper. What bothered me was that they took so long to bring the car and forgot about me. I returned the car that same day at 9:00pm and then I come in the morning at 7:30am to drop off keys. The next day I get a e-receipt from budget stating theirs a transaction of 80.09. So I call the same location, spoke to Tonya, I then ask her why am I being charged 80.09? She say because of the gas, I told her I brought it back with the same fuel tank. She said she would take off fuel charge and resend me another receipt with my total being 63.24. If I don’t check my receipts I’d probably would’ve ignored it and let them charge me but they seemed sketchy since the beginning so I made sure to take pictures of everything. Check your receipts for any extra charge you don’t recognize. On another note I’m happy I was able to make it on time to my appointment and buy me a new car.

I appreciate Budget very much when it comes to my rental needs. I have NEVER had an issue at this particular location. Listen, when I am paying for a service and for the vehicle I reserved, I better be treated with respect. I felt very uncomfortable with the lady who served me. I always rent a full size/ she handed my a Jeep Compass keys- um no! I told her I didn't reserved that. She gave me a look and said, "It is an upgrade" I DONT CARE. You ask me first If I am okay with it, if I would haven known this location did not have any more full sizes, I simply walk to National. I just don't understand people sometimes. I will definitely start giving my business to National/Enterprise.

Easy and quick experience. Joy and Ian were great and very pleasant to work with. Answered all our questions and got us on the road fast and easy. Will definitely use them for rentals from now on.

This location is Awesome!!! The employees are great!! My anger and disappointment is with the corporate office about my deposit!! Spoke with manager Luis who stated that I have to wait 2 weeks to receive my deposit back..He was the 3rd person that I talked with about my refund deposit. I returned my car on March 1oth and as of today March 16th I have yet to receive my deposit!!

This team always exceed my expectations when I rent at the Katy, TX location at TX-99 and Highland Knolls near Kroger. The cars are clean, the team is personable and professional. I highly recommend renting from this location.

The team at this location is terrific. I have rented many cars in my lifetime and this was one of my best experiences. The car was fantastic too!
