“H‑E‑B Fuel has made strides in upgrading their pumps to offer a more modern and efficient fueling experience. However, during my recent visit, I encountered a notable drawback: the lack of sufficient lighting on the updated pumps.
While the enhancements to the pumps themselves were noticeable, the absence of proper illumination made the fueling process less convenient, especially during evening hours or in low-light conditions.
Navigating the pump interface and reading important information became a challenge, potentially leading to inconvenience and frustration for customers.
Despite this setback, H‑E‑B Fuel continues to provide quality fuel and convenient service, and with some adjustments to the lighting, they could further elevate the customer experience.”
“Clerk is all smiles and friendly. The store is always fully stocked and pretty clean. A little pricey to that of Valero on smokes and beer but well stocked and cold! No fountain drinks here at all. They sell pipes and other such items like utility knives, jewelry, sunglasses, perfumes, baseball caps, etc.”
“It's funny how one day, I visited an H-E-B Plus purely by accident, and it felt like I was in a Fred Meyer up in Washington state. Yet on another day, I visited this H-E-B Market, and it felt like I was in a small, but cozy, Sprouts Farmers Market. That's not to say this was any worse than the H-E-B Plus. In fact, it might be better because it has a more neighborly feel than the larger H-E-B locations I've been to, including the Plus of course.I actually wanted to stop by earlier in my trip because it was closest to my hotel in downtown San Antonio, but one, the parking lot was full when I tried to go the first time, and two, driving around downtown San Antonio is *painfully* slow! Luckily, with this store having such a more relaxing atmosphere in spite of the lack of certain merchandise, I forgot about all the trouble I had driving here, which included a portion of Flores St being blocked off for some reason.This H-E-B is on the southeast corner of Flores and Cesar Chavez Blvd. There is a gas station here, so you can fill up on both groceries and gas here, which is convenient. In fact, this location is closest to the Corporate Office on Main Ave just on the other side of Commanders House Park. I suppose if you want to complain about your experience at this H-E-B Market, you could walk two blocks south to the corporate office, though I wouldn't recommend doing that if it's 100+ degrees outside lol.At a previous H-E-B, I got a coupon for $2.50 off Catalina Crunch cereal. I was hoping to use it at this location, but with how much smaller it was compared to their counterparts, I wasn't surprised that I couldn't find the cereal, even with help from an associate named Robert. The associates, unless they are new, shouldn't have any trouble helping you find what you need. I did, however, find a nice bag of H-E-B trail mix that I thought could have been useful for the trip back home, so I got a bag of that instead.When I went to check out at a self-checkout, my credit card declined! This was the day after the chip on my card got locked up, thus rendering it unusable for the remainder of my trip. Danny, the associate at the self-checkout, saw me expressing my exasperation and didn't hesitate to help. He couldn't get my card to work either, so I had to use a backup card. At first, it didn't work either, but the second time was a charm. I appreciated how he stepped in to help out before I even asked. Remember what I said about neighborly feel? Much appreciated! :)Overall, I would definitely recommend stopping by here for all your grocery needs as long as they have what you need; otherwise, you'd have to go to a different location. I also want to mention they have a nice little patio just outside the market so you can enjoy your just purchased food there. I think it's meant for customers getting a pizza at South Flo, but really, you shouldn't have a problem eating anything else there.”

“We got some gas which was about the average price in the local area. We used the restroom which was clean and probably needed minor attention. We got some fountain soft drinks and the checkout was quick and easy. The only real issue was that the gas pump did not give a receipt. We needed the receipt as this was a company vehicle. The whole purpose of paying at pump is to not needing to go inside. We went inside anyway but this is not always the case.”

“This is not my regular QT, but I was sure glad I found it. I had taken my daughter out to eat and tried a shortcut to get back to her house and stumbled across this location. As I drove by it, I just happened to look at the posted gas prices. They were so low that I turned around and went back just to confirm the prices. I was shocked. Diesel was only $2.86 per gallon. It was even slightly cheaper than regular gas. So I filled it up:-)Everything else about this place was typical for a QT. From clean fluid for washing windows to abundant paper towels for drying them, they had you covered. Additionally, the grounds were immaculate. They must have an awesome staff.Will I return? Most definitely:-)”

I always tell them good morning and they answer right back with such a positive attitude. “Store is a little small but they do have a coke machine and pretty much any place with a coke machine and it actually being filled with most of the flavor options is a top rated location for me. Only reason I gave 4 and not 5 stars is because of how cramped the area to get a fountain drink was. But the employees were friendly and quick with getting people through the line.”

“A good gas station to visit and fill up your car, you clean the pumps, the place looks clean and the most notable thing about this large chain of gas stations is its affordable prices, low compared to its direct competitors since here you find the most economical fuel I really like to recharge at any branch of this chain. It is highly recommended to visit it.”
“First visit to this particular neighborhood market but i passed it the other day and thought id give it a go. It was 4pm on a Tuesday and traffic wasn't as bad since it's away from culebra and the high school. The store was clean and not crowded it had every item I was looking for like a mini Walmart I was in and out in less than 40 min.”
“Is always busy that sometimes they have only one registered open and the line is all the way to end of the freezers. one other thing that bothers me is that they never sanitize the keypads were u use your debit card is always dirty, u never know who doesn't wash there hands or how dirty is, especially with all this COVID going on... you may never know? “Traffic backed up because it's a one way flow so majority of gas caps are on the left so only those pumps were accessed. Printer on pump not working for receipt. Apparently for quite some time as a manufacturer sign was in place. I like printed receipts when I'm out and about.”

“This tex best is not as big as others,but it offers 3 female stalls in their restrooms. Their restrooms were clean and had all there supplies filled. They have a varieties of food,drinks,and other things you may buy to keep as memories or place in your house or vehicles,or even give as a gift. If you choose to eat there,they have 3 tables,with 4 chairs each for their customers. They have many gas pumps for all type of vehicles,even big rigs. And, it doesn't hurt,that you got a burger King next door,and enough room for big rigs to park and rest either. Least of all,if you like to waste time or just spend time there,you got 2 game machines. Hope this helps others going though.”
