I wouldn't go anywhere else. These vets are the most caring people ever and will go above and beyond for animals instead of bare minimum like most other places may do.

Lampasas Veterinary Clinic
1940 E US Hwy 190, LampasasI absolutely adore Lampasas Veterinary Clinic! I have been bringing my dogs to them for all their necessary vet care for over three years now, one of my five has only ever been seen here. The staff members, and the veterinarians themselves, are so incredibly kind and patient! They have always listened and have never made me feel like I don't know what I'm talking about, and never made me feel like my concerns are unimportant or stupid. They are willing to help and guide you through any vet care procedure or process, and they are right there with you every step of the way. They really seem to love each and every one of my babies, and they gush and fawn over my oldest boy when he comes in because they have known him since he was eight weeks old. He loves coming to see them, and even my most sensitive girl opens right up to them!
I recently needed to get my youngest girls spayed, and I heard that Hamilton Veterinary Clinic in Hamilton was very low priced. Of course I was excited to save a little bit! The procedure and everything went well, but I didn't see the same love and compassion in the staff at the Hamilton Veterinary Clinic that I've come to expect after going to Lampasas Veterinary Clinic. They weren't mean, but they weren't very caring, did not ask me if I had any questions, and got me in and out as fast as they could. The receptionist was nice, but I didnt get to chat with anyone and worried the whole time. They seemed pretty over it. I get that they see a lot of animals, but they didn't have the same bedside manner and compassionate staff members.
This has pushed me to bring my oldest girl in to Lampasas Veterinary Clinic for her spay procedure, and I am so glad I decided to. My girl had a great exam and the staff loved on her and treated her so well!! Come to find out they are comparable in spay and neuter pricing anyways. And I would pay a ton extra just for the way they treat my babies! I will forever bring my babies here!!

208 N Key Ave, LampasasExcellent food.. could feel it was made fresh.. and had a inviting burst of flavor in every bite. Every one i interacted with right from the person taking the order to the folks who carried the order from the kitchen, to the one delivering it, made the experience worthwhile. Bella Italia at Lampasas.. we were only driving by and were so glad to get food here... a lot vegetarian options too. It was a late monday afternoon and we saw a lot of locals in the restaurant.. we know we will be visiting here any time visit the area.

Sweet Pickle Deli
1908 US-281, LampasasStopped in for lunch while I was in town and I’m really glad I did. I ordered the potato veggie soup and a ham sandwich on rye with lettuce, tomato, and cheese. It came with my choice of chips or potato salad, I went with the potato salad and they even included a couple slices of sweet pickles and a fresh watermelon slice!
The ladies working were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. The deli itself has a cozy, boutique feel that makes you want to sit and stay awhile.
For someone visiting from out of town, this was an awesome find. Highly recommend stopping by Sweet Pickle Deli!

504 N Key Ave, LampasasStopped here on a road trip home from northern New Mexico, and let me just say… this place delivered. We’re super picky about BBQ and the brisket and turkey were spot-on, tender, flavorful, perfectly smoked, and not greasy at all.
The bread pudding? Dangerous. We loved it so much we bought the last few slices they had.
The whole place has that true small-town, mom-and-pop feel warm, welcoming, and cozy, like you’ve known them forever. Absolutely worth the stop, and I’d happily make the 1.5-hour drive just to come back.
Tip: No cards, but they take cash or Venmo. Totally worth it.

307 N Key Ave, LampasasGreat place to eat! Homemade biscuits and big portions of damn good food. Got The Jessie's Kitchen breakfast dish with extra cheese and it was so damn good, every bite was better than the last. Great waitresses that keep your coffee full and have great attitudes.
