Camp Bow Wow
5200 Electric Ave, SpicewoodMy dog Mila had such a great time boarding at Camp Bow Wow Austin SW! I really appreciate that they provide live camera footage, which made it easy (and fun) to check in on her playtime. The facility is always very clean, and I could see the staff taking care to clean up every day. It’s clear they truly care about the dogs, and I feel very comfortable bringing Mila back here. Highly recommend!

Stone House Vineyard
24350 Haynie Flat Rd, SpicewoodWas gifted a bottle of the 2023 Pinnacle from Stone House Vineyard, and the structural execution here is flawless. Blending 80% Cabernet Sauvignon with 20% Malbec from Howell Mountain is a brilliant choice, and it pays off with incredible balance. Mountain fruit can easily become too aggressive or overly heavy, but this vintage frames those rich, deeply textured dark fruit layers with a beautiful natural freshness and perfectly rounded tannins. It feels entirely intentional from start to finish, leaving a long, clean impression that makes a serious statement. Cracking this open was a phenomenal experience.

5 Soul Wine Co
4514 Bob Wire Rd, SpicewoodWe went here last Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is a very beautiful setting and so relaxing out there in Spicewood. You have the wines...there is a brewery there as well, pickle ball courts and food trucks also. We only had the wines but they were very good and easy sipping wines, especially the Pinot Grigio and the Sauvignon Blanc...we liked them so much we bought a 3 bottle pack to go. CJ at the winery provided us great service and made us feel at home right away. Not only that, both he and Hannah helped locate a pair of sunglasses left behind and mailed them back to us in Houston! It was such a nice experience overall that we highly recommend it to anyone looking to relax and enjoy the pretty landscape while sipping on some excellent tasting wines. I will definitely be going back to see them again soon.

Frontyard Food Co.
4514 Bob Wire Rd, SpicewoodI always come here with my kids for the easter egg hunting, love the place, just wish there was an age limit like 9-10 years old, saw older kids squeezing in last minute while pushing the little ones to get to the very front, then saw some little kids crying cause they barely got any eggs

It’s All Good BBQ
22112 State Hwy 71, SpicewoodGood, out of brisket again, missed it. Again. The Armadillo bacon wrapped jalepeños stuffed with pulled pork served a la carte with sweet bbq sauce were delicious, as well as the turkey and sweet tea. Nice pickles.
They have a drive thru! Stop when they sell out. Looked like smoked chickens and pork ribs, too. A new potato salad or mac and cheese for sides.

La Cabana Mexican Grill
23626 State Hwy 71, SpicewoodWe’ve eaten here several times since they moved locations in Spicewood. The food has been consistently great; salsa, steak nachos, enchiladas, etc all very tasty. Food comes out at a decent clip. Great location in Spicewood with both indoor and outdoor seating. The service though is often hit or miss. We’ve had a couple of good servers who engage and are friendly, but do feel there is a culture within the restaurant where hospitality is ignored. Some of the staff have come across downright rude, ignoring us, muttering as they walk away, etc. Can’t put our finger on it, but a couple of times we’ve walked away feeling like the staff didn’t want us there and/or didn’t appreciate the business. If they could get that attitude figured out, it would make a tremendous difference.
