Last Tuesday, March 18, 2025, in the Laredo plantation residential area, we were given another example and reminder of how bad and unreliable Spectrum internet/cable tv service can be. Oh, but these days, at least they're nice enough to send you a message on your phone that there will be a service outage in a given area. I guess that's what they consider excellent customer service. The last outage on the Tuesday referred to here, lasted over eight (8) hours, part of the afternoon and into the late night hours....no tv...no internet. I'm still waiting for a notice from Spectrum to arrive giving me credit for the Tuesday outage along with the many other times there has been significant down time...but oddly enough those credits never show up...unlike the monthly charge which arrives quite punctually every month...without any credits for down service time of course! Vexus fiber can't come quick enough...I can't wait. For decades we've had to put up with this terrible, sucky service Spectrum provides...no more. Once Vexus fiber begins providing service in our area, it's goodbye to you, Spectrum! Look it up Laredo, a reliable alternative for internet and tv source entertainment is FINALLY here! OH, and one more thing...I just love the impersonal scripted artificial intelligence (AI) automatically generated "owner" response to my comments...it's like, yeah right...whatever!

Horrible Customer Service.
I invite the manager or supervisor to review their cameras on March 1 starting at 11:15am.
Line of 17 people and three employees assisting and meanwhile three more stretching and yawning and having personal conversations.
In 22 minutes, only two people were serviced.
Seems that their motto is to take as long as possible to get customers out than assisting in the most efficient possible matter.

I admire the fact that their trying to modernize. But, as a person who works from home I need my internet to be reliable. I drove an hour just to swap my equipment since they closed the only physical location in my town and was made to wait in a criminally undersatffed location because I did not know I was supposed to set an appointment before hand. This is stupid and I shouldn't even be having to write this review.

Horrible customer service in store and wifi bill will start at $50 then jump to $80 plus and after waiting 45 minutes in line. This is the reason I will be canceling my account with spectrum!!

Very efficient and helpful... I just think they need to be more patient and take the time to explain how the system works

Very expensive internet, and frequently fails due to power outage according to spectrum.I pay $80.46 monthly only for internet.Honestly not worthy. They control residental area is the only internet provider. Therefore, they take advantage of situation. Very bad customer service when you call customer service.Well trained for spectrum convenience.

Nothing specific to this store, but Spectrum is the worst wifi company. It has constant outages and has to constantly be reset on the daily. Only reason people get it is for the price but at this point it isn't worth it. Definitely recommend looking elsewhere.

The first part of this review will talk about the store.
As you walk in you need to sign in on a device to get in the waiting list to be served. Apparently you can make an online reservation which I would strongly recommend since the wait inside was considerable for me. I signed in and was the fourth person in line. There is a television that displays the waiting list. Although there were nine employees that I counted in the store, only four were actually helping customers. The others seem to be watching what the workers were doing. There were two trainees being trained, however they were at least three seasoned employees not actively helping the numerous customers in the store.
I was there to ask about the cost of my internet service. Spectrum, in my opinion, it's not honest or upfront with their internet pricing. I had spoken with a representative on the phone 10 minutes before I arrived at the store asking about the cost of my internet service compared to what was posted online. I was told that the online pricing is always a promotional price. However, I was given different standard pricing for service from the telephone rep and the worker in the store. The employee in the store actually did not know what the regular price of internet was. It is not displayed anywhere in the store and he had to ask his manager where he could find the non-promotional price of their internet packages. The employee finally pulled out a laminated sheet which was in a drawer right in front of him all along. Even then, he told me that even these prices might be different than what I would actually pay after the end of any promotional period. In other words, you don't really know how much you're saving and you can't compare the price of their services with other companies.
Before he went to ask his manager where he could find prices, the employee told me I could find them on their website. I told him I could not find them and I would challenge anyone to find the regular non-promotional prices for spectrum's internet services or any other services on their website. If you can do that, I will CashApp you $1.
I was also there to state my concerns about the speed of my internet service. I had a 300 MBS plan; however, after running a speed test through their website, I saw that my upload and download speed was 4 MBS. I'm not expecting 250 MBS because I know speeds vary, but I am certainly not expecting single digits. They provided me with a modem since I had been using my own equipment stating that perhaps it was my equipment that was the issue. Their modem did not change the ridiculously slow speed. I know they will now blame my router, however it is designed for up to 450 MBS. I will be requesting a technician to come and check my service. Of course I believe he will state that nothing is wrong and that it is probably my router and they will encourage me to use their equipment which in this case would come at a $7 per month cost. I will update this post after the technician's visit.
