I was supposed to be on vacation (a cruise) and ended up being transferred to UTMB for emergency gallbladder surgery. Every single person I encountered was friendly, and caring the entire time I was there. If you're in the area and in need of a hospital, this is the place to be!

super friendly staff. very knowledgable drs, solid caring nurses. very clean. only complaint…the food is really sub par - even for a hospital. but then again - your here to heal not dine. if needed i would return

Overall, I had a really good experience here. Almost everyone I interacted with was so nice and friendly and sympathetic. One grouchy, rude nurse seemed determined to give me a hard time, but other than that, it was a very nice place.
