Once Upon A Child is a thrift store for children's items offering a fairly large and excellent selection of clothes and shoes, which are clean and well put together. Customers can find some really good deals and nice items, including good quality products like a running stroller. The store is always clean and often has sales, like a 30% off event. The buy counter process is mostly great and quick, with customers not minding the wait for an offer. However, experiences with staff are mixed. Employees are frequently not friendly, never act nice, or acknowledge customers, sometimes leaving them waiting while talking to each other instead of helping. The prices are sometimes criticized as being higher than competitors or even close to new item prices, and some items may have small tears. The system for applying a previous balance is inconvenient, requiring a voucher code. For those selling items, offers can feel low even for new items, and there are strict rules: items must be in new condition and washed, and must be brought in a tote, not boxes or bags. The toy selection is not usually very stocked, and the location leaves a lot to be desired. While the deals and selection bring people back, many wish for more helpful and friendly service.
Clothes are organized. Prices on clothing and toys are a little pricey for thrift. $10.00- $5.00 for toddler clothes every once in a while can find something cheaper.
