Lockhart State Park is a smaller, yet charming state park that offers a peaceful escape from the city. Lots of camping in the woods and a. Loop for full hookup RVs. Trails are nice and close to great Bbq in town.

This park is very well ran and well kept. The park rangers are also super nice and friendly.

Very south texas feel but they do have a golf course going through it and I saw a public swimming. Was there for a baby shower the hall on top of the hill was great. A/C, full kitchen and old world charm.
