Back in late September, I bought a F350 Lariat with platinum package and a little over 54k miles on it for $56k with $7k trade in down and $49k owed from a dealership in Ohio. Came into the dealer here in Lubbock today to trade down for a 2016 Honda civic with around 86k miles maybe for $16.5k. Guy asked me what I wanted for truck and I said $50k if I could and told him how I came up with that. I said I looked it up on kbb and Edmund. The truck is a little old with minor dings but nothing crazy and great mileage on it. Really clean inside and loaded. Kkb puts it between good and very good. Long story short kkb puts trade in around $49/50k.The Honda they have is 2.5k higher than the max buy value on kkb which i told them and they said thats how we do it.Because I mentioned kkb and Edmunds they pull up j.d power instead and said my trade in should be 40k. Then they tried to claim it was because of 4k worth of hail damage, which is an exaggeration. Then say because once you drive it of the lot it loses value which is only on new cars not old.I checked j.d power myself and it says the value is between 45 to 47k basically. They knew i was a disabled veteran and I think they thought they could take advantage of me. They say thank you for your service because they see my service dog, but that's the best deal they offered. Put me in $9k debt, then turn around and sell it for $15k more than they gave me and sell me a car overvalued by $2500.If you are disabled, if you're a veteran, whoever you are, don't buy from these guys.

They took such good care of my wife while she was purchasing a car. No pressure just got her the explorer she wanted, and got her on her way! The sales manager was friendly and helpful as was the salesman, Morgan!

They helped us out in a bad situation. Traveling cross country and the radiator crack, they were able to order the part in that night and finish the job first thing next morning we were back on the road with only missing about 7 hours of travel time! Great job and I am very grateful.

Had issues with my rear brakes, took it in to get an asessment. Told me 3 things founds besides rear breaks. Completed 3 separate issues. Done within a 4 hour window. Honored my veteran status. Very pleased with the job well done from start to finish. Cost was reasonable. Will use again in future. Feel safer on the road.

Aaargh Gene Messer Ford service is very frustrating. They could take some lessons from Houston and Dallas on how to make timely appointments and do good work. they transfer you to the hostess concierge desk and back to service and it's difficult to get someone knows an answer and cares.

I have gone to Gene Messer several times and had very good service I had a gentleman by the name of Claude I believe Campbell was so rude to me I am a female And I am so sorry that I don't know much about vehicles and I think it's their job to try to get a female to understand them He was so rude that I was very intimidated I hope that the manager will speak with him. I work with customers everyday not only that whether you work in this business or not You should know how to speak to people how to treat people explain to someone as much as possible when they don't understand parts labors diagnostics It doesn't take but a few minutes And if the person don't understand you see if you can get someone else to speak with them. I Hope that this can be corrected I really did enjoy coming to Gene Messer But until we can get this fixed I will not be back I will not be intimidate and spending my money there.

Took some time to get my differential rebuilt in my F150, but I wanted it done right, and there's no better place to get that serious work done better than Gene Messer Ford Service. Luckily, I had a second car to use while I waited patiently. Virginia was great and really kept me up to date on my place in line and any details I needed to know. I will always get my work to my F150 done here. I do wish they were a bit faster, but it is what it is, and it was done right. Thank you Gene Messer Ford and a special Thank You to Virginia

I purchased 2020 F150 from Messer Ford in Lubbock Texas in September 2022. Since day one I have had an issue with a “clunking” in rear leaf springs. The dealership showed little concern for the problem. They said I could leave the truck for a couple of weeks so they could analyze it. It’s been service department multiple times for this problem. Each time it took extended period of time just to get it analyzed. It takes two to three weeks just for them to look at it. The last time it was in shop, they replaced entire leaf spring assembly. They scheduled it so I’d only be without my truck for three or four days. It took 2 1/2 weeks. Less than a week later the problem has returned. I definitely do not recommend the Ford F150 and I would not recommend Gene Messer Ford.

The service department has upped their game on scheduling services and options for the vehicle owner. Scheduling an appointment is easy with options for service advisor, day and time along with wait at dealership or need a ride are available at the time of service.

We were in Lubbock for a wedding, and the worst possible timing for a breakdown happened. But I HIGHLY recommend Barbara there with the service department. She took care of my family’s needs, and more than exceeded my expectations for service, and communication. I felt like we were valued, and made a priority throughout the entire process. Thank you doesn’t cover the amount of gratitude I am trying to express here.

Both times I have had my truck serviced there, they have been super helpful and always made sure I was in the loop as far as what was going on with my truck and where they are in the process of fixing it. I have worked with Cody both times and he is always super accommodating and always tries to make sure everything gets done in a timely manner and that I am updated on where they’re at with the services being done to my truck

I am always impressed with the work, time, and professionalism that is given to me when I trust to have my vehicle worked on at Gene Messer. I made my appt and showed up. Virginia assisted me and was so sweet and talkative which you normally do not get so early in the morning. I will go to Virginia for all my needs from now on. Thank you so very much for the hospitality.

Been looking for a bigger car for my growing family for a little bit now. Looked online at the different suvs they offered and found a perfect match for my family and budget. Called up Pat, the best car salesman in Lubbock TX, And told him where I was and what my budget was. He worked with me in a professional and understanding way that most other salespeople probably wouldn’t. He was flexible with my crazy schedule, and really worked for me.All the people I dealt with at this dealer were friendly and professional.Highly recommend coming here to anyone who is looking for their next vehicle. Ask for Pat and you will be taken care of.

My daughter attends LCU and has had her car sitting there for 2 1/2 weeks without having it serviced. She was told it would take 1 1/2 weeks which we thought was a long time. She finally picked it up without it being serviced. We will be looking for another service department.
