Our experience at this hotel was very unsatisfactory. The worst thing was having to take a cold shower. There was hot water to the room but a problem with the shower valve would not allow the water to get hot, thus, a cold shower. This was verified the next morning by the person at the front desk. There was no hand soap so I had to go to the desk to get a refill, plus, all the bottles in the shower were empty. No rack for the suitcase so I had to go get one of those. The toilet seat was so loose that it felt like it was going to come off. I also tightened it. The housekeeping person would have easily seen this and should have notified maintenance. All of these issues made the hotel room way over priced but the manager would not reimburse us anything for all the problems. We would never recommend this hotel.

Old hotel. Furniture sparse in room. Bathroom had cracks in sink, low on towels. Breakfast was just ok. The Hampton Inn in Abilene was great so it was a big disappointment in Lubbock.

Disappointing. The room had a moldy smell that was covered up by bleach cleaning spray. I called a week in advance to make sure that the pool is open and working condition. It was not when we got there. The person checking us in let us know the pump‘s not working, but we’re welcome to swim in it. The pool was disgusting. It had a nasty film over the whole top of the pool. It was just Stillwater when I called a week in advance to make sure the pool was working I would’ve canceled if they would’ve told me the truth.

Someone opened our door in the middle of the night. We had both keys inside the room with us so how did this happen? If I hadn't closed the security latch before going to bed, they would've been able to come in. I don't know if this was just a mistake of the front desk giving someone the wrong room key or if it was an employee trying to get into our room. They were gone by the time we got to the door. Either way, this shouldn't have happened and scared us! When we brought this up with the front desk when we checked out, we didn't even get an apology.
On top of that, this hotel in general is just dingy. The room smelled. The carpet felt gross. You had to shove the bathroom door to get it to close and the wallpaper in the bathroom looked like it either wasn't applied correctly or had water damage that made it peel away from the wall. Also, you can hear every little sound from the next room. I heard every cough, sneeze, and conversation as if I was in the room with them. If you can avoid it, do not stay here.

Nice location. Employees were great but the bath such as the commode was not comfortable height and the seat of plastic that sticks to you and about to fall off partially broken was not a good thing. The carpets are in need of cleaning. Beds were comfortable. Seemed to have a high humidity problem in the room, wonder if the pool inside the hotel is in need of venting the pool moisture outside. Very nice and helpful Employees. They just have a few issues to address and would be a quiet , nice and comfortable hotel. Such great employees helped make the stay. The lady doing the breakfast was incredibly great. She made our stay. Hampton has a great reputation . This Hampton needs just some tweaking and it will be up to Hilton standards. Your people there are to be praised for doing their best for giving the best effort just a few upgrades on carpet cleaning and humidity and bath fixtures problems and you will be on the way of being toward the Hilton excellence. Thank you for the quiet restful atmosphere. Just need that step or 2 to be that Hilton we all love and appreciate. Thank you Hampton Inn of Lubbock.

We stayed here for a weekend for a wedding, good value and good location. All the staff and Mike at the front desk were very friendly.

Incredible service!! We stayed here for a last minute stay and they easily and smoothly booked me and my kiddos in at 11pm when a hotel down the road was a terrible experience and we left after an hour. They were so kind and helpful and even gave me a discount because I had such a rough night at the previous hotel. True angels at the Hampton! We loved our stay from start to finish and we will always be staying here from now on. Plus they have Texas shaped waffles and the kids love them (mom does too)

The room was okay, the coffee maker hadn't been cleaned. The hotel blocks MSNBC from the channel lineup. I'm sure it's for our own good.Zachary at the front desk is very helpful.

My experience started out great with super friendly staff. Sadly, our room's bathtub had about a dozen hairs on/in it. I didn't really notice until the next day so I didn't complain. Everything else was clean, though the building is showing a lot of wear. Rusting fixtures, ancient TV, etc. Our BIGGEST issue was that, on our second day there, we came back late at night to find our door was propped open, leaving all our luggage exposed and vulnerable. I can only assume this was done by the cleaners (even though we did have a do not disturb hanger on the door). I just find this unsettling and unacceptable. I'm glad nothing was stolen, but my iPad Pro and other items were open to the world for the taking for probably 14 hours. I'm glad we were in Texas with honorable folk.Rooms: Overall quite clean rooms with outdated items. Metal pieces of the room were rusting. (In bathroom). TV is a model from likely a decade ago, and when I tried to use it, I found it had horizontal lines streaking the panel. Pretty much garbage.Nearby activities: There are tons of places to eat nearby, as well as some nice parks.

Worst Hampton I’ve ever stayed at. Rooms super dirty and old. Floors filthy. Bathroom dirty. Breakfast was awful and the lady down there was super rude. Would not recommend this hotel at all.

I really like staying at Hampton Hilton. They are friendly and try to help. Two small things could be better for me. The pillows and the toilet paper. They both suck.

Stayed at this location last night. We arrived alt and road weary. Desk clerk was very friendly. Hotel lobby and exterior is dated. Got to our room which was small and very outdated. Hard to tell how clean because of how dark it was. The bottom of tub is dark with staining. Sink faucet old and dirty and water line to toilet rusted over. We were tired so we slept but bed was very creaky. Went down for breakfast. Presentation clean enough. The fatal error was the food cart was outside the open kitchen door. Food cart that carried the food out was filthy. Not new dirt but caked on dirt. Kitchen was not far behind it. Grimy! Limited seating. Cloth chairs were VERY stained. We passed on breakfast. Hesitated to even drink coffee imagining how corroded the dispensers were. Looked like a manager was there with someone who was taking highlight photos of the facility. It took restraint to not suggest some of the items I noted. This place was definitely not up to the usual Hampton standards. Wish we hadn’t been too tired to walk away last night.Rooms: Outdated, very dark, squeaky bed, and the carpeting was soiled and showed obvious dirt in walkways.Food & drinks: Hoping there is a place to post pictures. I worked for a prison system.I have inspected many kitchens in prisons. I have never seen a food cart as filthy as the one sitting outside the open kitchen door. All I could envision was that the food on the line had once set on that filth. The cloth seating was filthy and stained. The open kitchen area was grimy, unswept and had noticeable maintenance issues. I had to pass on food because yuck!Noteworthy details: See above comments. Room dark, outdated, old dirt in the corners, filthy carpet, stained or possibly dirty tub floor. Corroded sink faucet, cracked sink with stains and the waterline to toilet was beyond rusted and dirty.

Good location and friendly staff, however the hotel is dated. Definitely needs a remodel, if feels as if no remodeling has been done since the early 90s.
