It was my first time going through the process. I called 3 vets here in LBK and Hub City was the only place that responded with compassion. I could feel the genuineness in Rachel’s voice every time she answered the phone. I immediately knew this is where I had to bring him. The experience although heartbreaking and without a doubt the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do, every one I encountered that day was so attentive, patient, and kind. There was no judgement and no unnecessary pressures. They made it easier to smile and even laugh a little. Dr. Bridge made the entire process so intimate and comforting. She saw not only the pain of my dog but my pain. Again, I just can’t express how awesome the entire staff is here. I can say God truly put us in the right place that day. You will not be disappointed bringing your babies here. Honestly a loving place with people who care. God bless and thank you to the entire Hub city vet team.

I really love the vet takes into account the age of my animal before prescribing meds. Some vets want you in and out but not this vet. I plan to transfer all my animals over to Kingsgate.

I always heard how difficult it is to get it, and with such exceptional people and service, I can see why, however, that was not the case for me. I sent an email about TNR for a colony of cats. I got a very quick response and was put on the schedule. The staff was so helpful from loading and unloading the kitties to answering every question I had. The Disciplined Dog
16410 Private Road 2000, LubbockI had my first dog trained here about 2 years ago. She was my first dog and everything I was trying wasn’t working. I learned so much about how to communicate with her and after only 3 sessions, she was a totally different dog. She was much more confident, obedient, and our bond really grew.
Flash forward to now, since my first dog made me want a second (iykyk), I quickly learned how different their personalities were, and my second pup (a rescue) came from a difficult background situation, which came with some concerning behavioral issues. The vet warned us that she might not be a good fit for our family as she got older and bigger. We were afraid that she might end up being a safety liability, but Luke proved us wrong. We are three sessions in and our pup has made a complete 180 and has quickly picked up everything he has taught her (and us).
Also, we had made boarding reservations at a different establishment for an upcoming trip that fell through last minute. I called Luke to see if there was an off chance he was able to board and learned he does offer this service! He even went above and beyond to make her stay young puppy friendly.
I guarantee he is the most knowledgeable trainer in Lubbock and is so affordable. He obviously loves what he does. Knowing now that he offers boarding services, I plan on bringing my pups here instead of boarding them at a daycare, knowing they will be safe with consistent care, and can have their skills refreshed instead of being turned loose in an overstimulating environment around potentially bad influences.

And the side of vegan potato salad is exactly what I needed to pair with. Staff kicks arse, and I hear management is legit. The vibe is for real punk rawk mixed with folks that just wanna chill. For me, it’s nice to eat quality food over cooking and have awesome art all over to look at. Oh and pinball zen helps. Straight 5 star cause this meal caused me to spend time writing a review. Chopped And Sliced BBQ Restaurant
3501 50th St #110, LubbockOn a whirlwind trip to Lubbock for a friends wedding, and in short need of a dinner while also on a budget, Yelp directed us to Chopped and Sliced BBQ. Boy howdy am I glad it did. The menu was very easy to read, and provided enough variety in order to find exactly what you were looking for without needing to compromise on your appetite. The waitress was very friendly and provided her opinion on local favorites without demeaning other options, always a deal breaker for me when places do that, so she gets special love for her taking care of us that night. Once our meals arrived, it was time to dig in. The food was hot, prepared exactly as expected, and in typical Texas fashion there was more than we could expect to eat in a single sitting. At Chopped and Sliced BBQ, you will never leave hungry. Honorable mention to the fried Okra. I became the star of the night as almost everyone at the table couldn't get enough of it. Also, not sure if it was a regular or one-off, but the night we were dining in there was a man playing traditional Americana folk songs on guitar just inside by the entrance. He provided a nice relaxing atmosphere for the night without being too out or overbearing for my ears. I found myself tipping him on more than one occasion for his contributions to the evening.

Good Line publicly opened its doors in mid-2022, and after I turned 21 that November, I immediately found myself becoming a regular. Through my final two years of college, I would always come to get some easy school work done, work on final projects, grab some beers with my friends, and come to their fun events like Oktoberfest, 4th of July, their anniversary parties, Cinco De Mayo with Jiminez, Lager Jam West, and more. From the owners Chris and Shawn to their staff like Eli and others, they are all very charming and great people to talk to. They all know their stuff when it comes to beer, so they can guide people who only know Miller Lite and Blue Moon as well as those with a more expansive palate, making sure each person gets the right beer for themselves. I always found myself trying new beers and styles done exceptionally well by Good Line that I may have never tried if not for their location existing. Some of my favorites they have served are Range Life, Parklife, which I miss since it has not made a return in some time, Floating in Space, These Pretzels, Wish I Was A Baller, All Night Candlelight, Specifics On The General, and Old Man Marley, to name a few. They also have a killer Cherry Seltzer and a pretty good wine based margarita. Their cheaper light beer, Friendo, is another great choice for people who are not looking for crazy craft beer but can still appreciate quality. There is plenty to do at Good Line, from watching major sporting events to joining the Monday night run club, participating in their book club, or just chopping it up with other Lubbock residents. It feels like a third space for a very specific kind of person. A person that loves a good beer but does not get plastered. A person that loves a good conversation on music with someone they have never met before. It is always a great time at Good Line, and I have met some really great people and regulars just from the times I have visited. I do not live in Lubbock anymore after graduating, but every time I visit, I always make a stop once or twice because it is always worth my time. God bless the Line. We order THE FIVE BOROUGHS pizza. The crust was crisp, extra toppings and we even had some to take home. We LOVE Parry’s and will definitely enjoy dinner there again! Very friendly and helpful staff!
